Here are all the Mew events there were in the last 5-6 years:

As you see, none of them are shiny in the sprite, and that means you couldn't even get a shiny mew -.-. But you can, with the use of RNG (or if you are very lucky). You can also see that all the events from 2007 untill now are all in Cherish balls. So.

Lol, that fails, you actually had a Mew event 1 year ago, with the OT FALL2010, so most likely it's from that event =P
It has flawless IVs, and yes it is legit. I believe it is from an event, since it's in a cherish ball. I can't tell you exactly, since it's Japanese and I can't read Japanase >=(.
