I think the people who are really disappointed went in expecting the wrong thing. I expected a shaky-cam video of a monster attack from the viewpoint of normal people. That's what I got. It was a movie where they took the long intro, long conclusion, and cut it out entirely and just left the middle where everything is batshit insane.

I didn't go in wanting to see lots of glimpses of the monster. I didn't like parts of it, like how the hell they survived the helicopter crash.

I found Hud annoying a lot of the time, but absolutely hilarious at other parts. Flaming homeless people, OH MY GOD XD

This one looks almost exactly like the real thing imo

While some people will think its original I have a problem with it looking so much like Orga from Godzilla, which makes it seem completely unoriginal. Many of their distinguishing features are the same, while the Cloverfield monster is a slimmed down version of an 8 year old monster. Just one of my beefs with the movie.

Orga comes in at about the 30 second mark, don't watch if you don't want to spoil the Cloverfield monster.
 
When people saw this did they feel they had be robbed
i payed full price for a movie with no introduction and no ending and a whole lot of questons?
 
Saw it last night. I liked it, it did what it was made to do, although i kicked myself in the ass after it was over cuz i missed the splash at coney island scene, and I was specifically looking for it too.. oh well, but yeah hud was funny, best part was when he takes the camera and points at his face saying, if this is the last thing you see.. its cuz i uh, i died haha.

And just so im clear on something, when the monster got hud in his mouth, he ripped him in half right? Like he ate his lower half and his upper half fell back down?

I think his head is the only thing that came back down...
