What do you think of these nominations?

Greninja from S- to A+
yeah i definitely agree with this. not sure how it got there in the first place but i really don't think this mon is that impressive. while it is fast, it's quite frail and base 103 special attack doesn't always hit hard enough. scarfers, fast mons, and things that take one hit aren't uncommon and can easily beat
Meloetta from A+ to S-
i dont really have a strong opinion on this thing, honestly, but i'm leaning towards no. i feel it got way more predictable with the psong ban, with it just running a specs set most of the time now. additionally i'm not a fan of relying on focus blast to hit certain mons. its power and good special bulk make it worth a+ though, imo.
Mega Slowbro from A+ to S-
it's a good a rank mon, but i dont think it deserves s. it's quite vulnerable to special attacks but if in the right matchup it really shines. since 1v1 is pretty physical i think it's worth a+ but not s. if it had to be s i think it should replace greninja in s-.
Chansey A- to A
nah. with the stoss + charm ban it really has to choose what it beats and loses to. normally such versatility would be a good thing, but being suseptible to physical attackers or being extremely passive aren't really the best options. i think i've seen 1 chansey since the complex ban though so i'm not sure i have tons of experience.

ok now that im done for those, im going to put some noms of my own up.
i think that both vensusaur and jumpluff should be b+. sleep + leech seed is a really good combo in my opinion but these pokemon do different things. jumpluff is the fast and kind of frail pokemon that sleeps, leech seeds, and spams sub and protect. loses to grass types and faster pokemon with moves hard enough to take jumpluff out. venusaur is different, though, as it's the slower and tankier one with slightly more versatility (not counting flash jumpluff..) it can actually take a hit and then get comfy with its leech seeds. also, it actually attacks, meaning it can actually hit other grass types because of sludge bomb. the reliance on the grass type of both pokemon doesn't always work which is why i say b+.

Gotta say I agree with all ur opinions on the proposed changes, however I think venusaur should be moved to B+ for the reasons you stated, but jumpluff is too frail to be a proper sleepSeed mon as if it misses sleep powder or gets outsped, it won't be able to tank a hit.

yeah. it relys on hitting a sleep powder. dont really agree with the outsped point because at team preview you know what it outspeeds, unless you're fighting random scarf mons, which admittedy is another flaw it has. i do think that its benefits overshadow its flaws, but maybe that's just me.

Frankly intentional hot dog pun is intentional, I'm fine with the viability tier each mon has so far, but there's something of interest that I've been seeing quite a bit of lately

Conkeldurr

At first glance this guy doesn't seem that great, but after looking over what's in the vr, it actually beats or has ways to handle all the S ranks, except Mawile, as well as having coverage to handle a fair chunk of the A ranks.

I don't really know how to use this myself, but my first guess would be bulky AV with Thunder Punch (Gyarados coverage), Drain Punch/Hammer Arm (Hammer Arm if Iron Fist), Mach Punch, and whatever fourth coverage move to handle additional threats, like Ice Punch for Garchomp, or Poison Jab for Whimsicott.

So, thoughts? Sets? I think this guy could be higher than C rank, but I wanna get a little discussion before jumping to any CONKlusions :]

And that is my set compendium for 1v1 mons from B rank through to S rank

(When I came back to finish off S rank my iPad stopped letting my copy/Paste for some reason and im away on vacation so I can't use a computer, if someone could help that would be great, that's also why I had some pokemon with [name] instead of an actual sprite)

This is a 1v1 sets compendium for all mons from S rank through to B rank (not including B- rank]

Nice post! I added the sprites for the ones that didn't have any. I personally use this link: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/msikma/pokesprite/master/icons/pokemon/regular/.png for my minisprites because it's really simple to use. Basically just add the pokemon's name in lower case before the .png.

Example:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/msikma/pokesprite/master/icons/pokemon/regular/porygon2.png gives

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/msikma/pokesprite/master/icons/pokemon/regular/deoxys-defense.png gives

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/msikma/pokesprite/master/icons/pokemon/regular/porygon-z.png gives

Meloetta
A+ -> S-
Greninja
S- -> A+

When you compare Meloetta to Porygon-Z, Porygon-Z seems as if it was the overlord of Meloetta and far beyond it. While Porygon-Z does have better chances of wrecking everybody with Hyper Beam, Meloetta has the ability to survive attacks stronger than Porygon-Z could endure most of the time, while doing almost the same amount of damage. For this reason, Meloetta should be in the S rank.

As many of you know, Call it a day was the name of the team I used over 8 months ago in the Blaziken and Mega Salamence suspect test, but in the end of that RMT, I asked who I should replace Salamence for? The majority of the voters voted Meloetta and I decided to agree with that as well. One of the biggest reasons I agreed with this more than any other of the options was that this one Pokemon actually rose my Win/Loss ratio much higher during my reign in playing 500 battles a day. Meloetta in this team has been the dominant feature, doing more than the other two Pokemon in this team combined. This Pokemon was the #1 reason why I randomly swept through tournaments when I did, and won. This Pokemon is able to take down the majority of the metagame, having shockingly more coverage than Porygon-Z and being able to endure just 1 or more attacks, which is enough for it to win. I'm going to first explain the differences between Meloetta and Greninja and why their ranks should be swapped.
First of all, Greninja has a lot less Special Attack and bulk, which allows even more Pokemon to come in and KO Greninja. This especially includes the many Choice Scarved Pokemon out there in the wild. It may have Protean but Hydro Cannon is still by far its strongest move. A Special Attack of 103 is fairly low in the metagame. While it is able to OHKO things like Charizard-Mega-X, Aggron-Mega, and even uninvested Mawile-Mega, Certain Pokemon like Charizard-Mega-Y, Meloetta, Pinsir-Mega and Porygon-Z are able to do much more, while holding on more tightly to attacks. The biggest things Greninja have are Speed and its ability Protean, which works usually when it uses moves like Ice Beam. It can't really afford to do anything much if it doesn't get that OHKO. Its moves don't allow it to unlike Meloetta who has Trick, one of the moves that made Porygon-Z S rank just so it has a chance of using different moves. Meloetta and Porygon-Z also have moves that go through Substitute while Greninja lacks much of that. The current metagame is more prepared for Greninja than Meloetta because Greninja lacks these things. What Meloetta lacks are just what Porygon-Z has, and what Porygon-Z lacks, Meloetta has, making it an even share except Porygon-Z has the option to run Custap Berry Endure.

List of things Meloetta can beat but not Greninja (Normal sets)
Choice Scarf Kyurem-Black
Bulk invested Charizard-Mega-Y
Choice Scarf Porygon-Z
Head Smash Aggron
Chansey
Shell Smash Crustle

List of things that Greninja can beat but not Meloetta
Dragon Dance Dragonite
Metagross-Mega
Mawile-Mega
Gyarados-Mega

Secondly, I am going to discuss why Meloetta does better than every other A+ Pokemon in the list.
Dragonite: Dragonite in the metagame actually can't really stand to face off against a lot of the metagame's threats including Kyurem-Black, Slowbro-Mega, Crustle, Porygon-Z, Aggron-Mega, and Gyarados-Mega (even tho Meloetta cannot beat it).

Slowbro-Mega & Deoxys-Defense: Can more easily be worn down to status attacks, Recovery, and Taunt done by opposing Pokemon. While they actually do well in the metagame sometimes, their reliance on stall could be taken advantage of and used against as if these two guys were puppets (Banette-Mega) I believe these guys do more than Dragonite in the metagame but Pokemon below them could beat them easier, like Whimsicott, Chansey, Togekiss, and of course, Banette-Mega, unlike Meloetta who can simply bypass almost all of these Pokemon (It may have problems against Togekiss).

All Pokemon have their general weaknesses and strengths, but some have more or less than others, especially here in 1v1.

When I see Meloetta, I always have a feeling that it should be S, and it used to be. It used to be S because it had Perish Song, but no one really saw the other potential strategy Meloetta held, which is not too much worse than the Perish Song strategy. Even though Porygon-Z is holding it back, it doesn't entirely outclass it enough for it to bring Meloetta far down. Using it a lot also made me realize that it can be centralizing sometimes.

I also sometimes feel that this Pokemon has been more useful than Pokemon like Gyarados-Mega in 1v1.

Do you agree with me on this, or do you not? Did I say anything inaccurate? All of these questions can be discussed freely! I know my evidence isn't much, but at least I discussed my personal opinions.

Very disappointed to find that in the transition, my greatest treasure Scolipede disappeared from the rankings. I request that he be restored to C- at your convenience.

Here's a quote from my original post nominating Scolipede for the late D Rank:

Don't really have enough time to make a long post, and I made this set a while ago so I'm a bit "rusty," but this Pokemon is pretty fun to use, if a bit unreliable. Speed Boost is a great ability for random Choice Scarf users and beating faster Pokemon like Alakazam and Greninja. (Bug offensive typing is actually decent in 1v1; it also hits Meloetta, Mega Slowbro, Hoopa-U, Mew, and some others.)
I have since improved the set to the following by adding Substitute (thanks Whis and potatopickle):

Scolipede @ SilverPowder
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 228 HP / 252 Atk / 28 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Protect
- Swords Dance
- Megahorn
- Substitute

252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 228 HP / 0 Def Scolipede: 264-312 (83 - 98.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Silver Powder Scolipede Megahorn vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 196-232 (50.1 - 59.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
You protect turn 1, then +2 Scolipede outspeeds Scarf Kyurem-B on the third turn.

SilverPowder provides enough of a power boost to get a guaranteed 2HKO on uninvested Kyurem-B (which you live Outrage from, thanks to the EVs) without you dying to LO recoil. Megahorn's accuracy is annoying, but Protect means that you also often get an extra chance to hit Megahorn thanks to Outrage's confusion chance. Mono-Bug-type coverage is pretty horrendous, but the extra moveslot for Substitute is invaluable against stuff like Porygon-Z, Greninja (which loses its Dark typing), random Outrage users who might be difficult to beat otherwise, etc. It also serves as a surefire counter to gimmicky FEAR strategies and status users. Obviously losing Rock Slide and thus losing to Charizards is a bummer, but there are enough Charizard counters in the current meta imo.

I don't actually remember what the 28 Speed is for but rest assured that it does something, and anyway, you're never going to have any shortage of Speed with Speed Boost.

There's probably more I could say here but instead I will just leave you with some replays:
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-431646297 - Substitute is useful
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-418179806 - SilverPower
252 Atk Silver Powder Scolipede Megahorn vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Gardevoir: 279-328 (100.3 - 117.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Scolipede Megahorn vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Gardevoir: 232-274 (83.4 - 98.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-376191052 - This was with Liechi but is still a pretty cool replay and SilverPowder might achieve the same outcome

Also nominating Talonflame to move up from C- to C. This extremely brave bird gets a bad name on the 1v1 ladder because of the mindless Brave Bird spam for which it is commonly used. I've had some success recently using a very strange bulky set that can defeat many of the top threats of 1v1.

Talonflame @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 156 Atk / 104 Def
Impish Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Brave Bird
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Looks weird, right? Especially with Liechi Berry? Yeah, I know. But take a look at these matchups versus some selected 1v1 staples:

vs. Scarf Kyurem-B
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-B Fusion Bolt vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Talonflame: 282-332 (78.3 - 92.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Talonflame: 253-298 (70.2 - 82.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
demonstration of pp stalling ability: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-431658926

vs. Mega Charizard X
252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Outrage vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Talonflame: 270-318 (75 - 88.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO — guaranteed Liechi activation on the SD
252+ Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Outrage vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Talonflame: 295-348 (81.9 - 96.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+3 156 Atk Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Charizard X: 297-349 (100 - 117.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

vs. Mega Mawile - easy win
+1 156 Atk Talonflame Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Mawile: 320-380 (105.2 - 125%) -- guaranteed OHKO
burn the foe + SD (-1 due to Intimidate)

EDIT: I don't have this move but whatever i still win maybe

vs. Dragonite - easy win thanks to Will-o-Wisp
252+ Atk Choice Band burned Dragonite Outrage vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Talonflame: 174-204 (48.3 - 56.6%) -- 90.2% chance to 2HKO
just hope they don't have Stone Edge, which legitimately just happened to me

vs. Whimsicott - easy win
156 Atk Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Whimsicott: 206-246 (63.5 - 75.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
with Gale Wings

And this is just a small selection, as Talonflame's Fire typing is excellent in a metagame full of Steel- and Fairy-types that it can easily defeat like Mega Metagross, Mega Scizor, Aegislash, Mega Lucario, Mega Gardevoir, Sylveon, and Mega Altaria. STAB Brave Bird helps against Fighting-types like Mega Lopunny (252 Atk Mega Lopunny Giga Impact vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Talonflame: 267-315 (74.1 - 87.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO), Mega Heracross, and Hitmonlee, though I haven't tested those matchups as much.

It can also knock out FEAR users with Will-o-Wisp.

Here are some additional replays (against some skilled players, too):
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-419470344 Fairy-type matchup
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-419470002 Charizard Y ideal situation
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-419462294 Charizard X matchup

Overall, I think these Pokemon are worthy of consideration. I may have messed up the occasional matchup here and there, so let me know if I did something wrong. Now back to semi-inactivity.

edit: By the way, if anyone wants to suggest a third Pokemon to accompany those two, please do. As you can probably tell, I've been using them on a team. Mega Gyarados has been doing pretty well so far, and I actually won a 1v1 tour with the team, but I might be able to improve regardless.

Took the liberty of deleting all the changes I was alright with.

Meloetta has no business staying in S rank without Perish Song, it only gets a single, relatively predictable set that's viable in 1v1, which is Choice Specs. All the other S rank mons have multiple viable sets that make it incredibly difficult to prepare for them, Unlike Meloetta, who has to run Choice Specs in order to even stay relevant. The closest thing Meloetta has to versatility is shuffling out which coverage move/s it carries, I strongly urge that it be moved back to its prior ranking for these reasons.

Slowbro, while having many more options to choose from than Meloetta, still under-performs in the meta, due to only being able to be bulky on one side, in terms of EV spreads, as well as lacking the power to hit anything hard at all. In a way, Slowbro-Mega can actually be compared to Salamence-Mega, who had at least one capable set to take on just about anything, but the crucial difference being that Salamence-Mega also had an offensive presence which allowed it to threaten anything lacking the bulk to take a single attack.

Gardevoir-Mega, while its sets are usually pretty limited, it still performs very well in the meta, having one of the strongest Hyper Beams of all Pokemon, and even having relatively acceptable bulk to back it up. Though its move options may be relatively limited, it still has plenty of room to be played around with in terms of EV spreads, since it CAN be given the bulk to stand up to things that otherwise would have countered it, like Kyurem's Iron Head, and Porygon-Z's Hyper Beam.

Golem, hasn't really ever had any niche greater than just being a bulky Sturdy user. There really aren't any alternative items or movesets that can make him viable without acting as some kind of surprise set that only works once, and as such, I personally recommend that Golem stays out of the A ranks.

I'm a little disappointed Greninja dropped from S, but I guess people aren't willing to think outside the box with it just yet :(

[PART I]
*I'll edit the info parts later, I'm actually so busy and have no time atm.

Since Generation 6 is coming to an end, my duty is to complete the goal I had in mind which is to provide a full 1v1 resources for Generation 6. I'm close in achieving this goal and that's thanks to everyone that helped me to get at this point. I'm going to post most of my teams in this post and in another post if I have time which is something we lack in this resources thread. I'd like everyone to help us take more steps forward by contributing to the 1v1 analyses so we can finish off this Generation's 1v1 on a high note, additionally if you wish please post your teams here so we can group them all. I'm really looking forward working with every single one of you next generation so we can all have fun and keep on providing resources and develop 1v1. Shoutouts will be done at the end.

ORAS
*Teams will be labeled with "Levels" with "Level 1" being an awesome team and "Level 3" being a good team that needs more testing.

Stars [Level 2]

This team was built around Mega Metagross which is a very underrated threat in the metagame, it is able to defeat some top threats Pokemon such as Mega Mawile, Kyurem-Black, Porygon-Z and, Meloetta while having okay matchups against the other part of the metagame, Meteor Mash and Bullet Punch are great STAB moves allowing Mega Metagross to deal heavy damage to the foe with bullet punch being a priority move. Grass Knot allows it to take on Mega Slowbro, Mega Blastoise and, Swampert variations more reliably as the former will most likely use Acid Armor while the other two will go for Counter. Hammer Arm takes on a lot of other threats such as Mega Gyarados and Chansey, Mega Metagross is EV'd to live a +1 Crunch from 252 Atk Mega Gyarados. Whimsicott was added to the team to lure in Charizard this is why I'm using Occa Berry and to defeat Ground- and Water-type Pokemon, this is a standard whimsistall set which is easy to use Leech Seed and Protect, I'm weak to Mega Sableye so I decided to use Moonblast but Encore or Taunt can be used. Garchomp is the last addition to the team as it can handle Both Charizard reliably which are still problematic, it also takes on Mega Mawile and opposing Whimsicott. Overall, this team covers a good number of the metagame but is weak to another part that is lesser used such as against Mega Sableye and Greninja.

Heathens [Level 1]

This team revolves around a serious threat in the metagame Porygon-Z. I decide to go with Choice Specs as it can nuke a good portion of the metagame and that just what I wanted. Most of the times it just clicks Hyper Beam and wins except against Subtitute, Uproar is the play :^). Mega Sableye forms a great core with Porygon-Z as it can scare off offensive Pokemon. Will-O-Wisp and Metal Burst can take on so many things including Kyurem-B, Mega Metagross, Meloetta and Porygon-Z. I was a little bit weak to Fire-types and some Steel types so I added an offensive Mega Charizard X, it also avoids me losing against Smeargle and other specially defensive Pokemon.

so that is the end. i lost all my teams took me two hours to remake some of them (all the ones you see here) and copy and paste them over. i with held some of my best teams, but i am gonna make a 1v1 rmt for the end of gen 6, all these teams are good. and since Dream Eater Gengar cant shoutout himself for all the contributions he has done to gen 6 1v1, i just wanna say you have done more than anyone for 1v1 this gen u made this resource thread, put A TON of effort in on other threads and all round fucked up the ladder and are still an insane 1v1 player having gotten 92 gxe, idk if anyone is gonna beat that lmao. now lets look forward to get 7!

Aww, thanks for the shoutout DEG. I think you've been a great 1v1 leader anI'm going to try to write more C&C analyses so we have more than the lone few that are up there. If you do need teams for the other formats of 1v1 (Hackmons, UU, Ubers) I did build a couple for the tournament, or if anyone wants to test those teams please PM me because I really wish I had more than a couple tournament rounds to test them out.

InfernapeTropius11

get on my level
Tour champ and resident 1v1 god here to drop some lit teams I used in tour:
usefulcrab (Crustle) @ Custap Berry
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shell Smash
- Rock Wrecker
- X-Scissor
- Counter

Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 68 Atk / 96 Def / 92 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Outrage
- Crunch

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 224 HP / 160 Def / 20 SpA / 104 Spe
Modest Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Blast Burn
- Rock Tomb
- Solar Beam

This is my favourite team to use. Both Charizard and Gyarados are common, with multiple sets, which makes them unpredictable af, and these sets in particular I love (s/o aesf for both of 'em). Gyar beats zardx and kube and everything else it should beat (aesf posted a more detailed description somewhere in this thread), and zardy is EVd to handle kube, greninja, and opposing zardy reliably. The real gem tho is Crustle. This crab went 2-0 in the tour helping me on my undefeated-bar-that-one-fucking-will-o-miss-haxy-game run (15-1 iirc). s/o uc for set, this thing can beat so much if you predict right it's great. Counter bops most physical attackers (sub chzarx is annoying though), while smash+x-scissor+rock wrecker allows it to do a shitton to other stuff, which I can't think of rn bcz tired but it's good I promise.

iirc i used the above zardy/mgyar sets on all my oras teams, so here's other mons that filled in the third slot over crustle:

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Ice Punch
- Bullet Punch
- Grass Knot
- Hammer Arm

ct to Illusio, GKnot+BPunch+Ice Punch+Hammer Arm lets it bop pz/dnite/rhyperior

Whimsicott @ Occa Berry
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 212 Def / 48 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Substitute
- Taunt

ct to ryy, should beat both his teams like annoying af mvenu aids (success) as well as his other team, the zard x one.

Rhyperior @ Custap Berry
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Endure
- Rock Blast
- Rock Wrecker
- Earthquake

idr why i used this but it's a good set fairly standard. i used taunt on mgyar on this team iirc

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Air Slash
- Roost
- Nasty Plot

Manaphy @ Lum Berry
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rest
- Acid Armor
- Tail Glow
- Scald

Sharpedo @ Sharpedonite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Lonely Nature
- Crunch
- Ice Beam
- Waterfall
- Protect

This is a fun team. Toge is able to take on most special attackers, smack them with a twave, then hax them (possibly after setting up depending on how much they do back). It also takes on a kind of stallbreaker role w/ NP + 60% flinch. Mana is here to bop all the physical attackers, s/o raimon for this set, it's pretty effective. MegaShark just takes on annoying mons like DeoD as well as really fast mons. It should probably run EQ over Waterfall as this team is 100% weak to electric but w/e electrics are rare tbh.

Gallade @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Poison Jab
- Ice Punch

ez ct to ryy ayy lmoa. safety goggles ice punch>>>>>>jumpluff, and sd+cc/pjab beats audino and sylv (lives one sylv hyper voice too iirc). used alongside toge/mana.

Diancie-Mega @ Lum Berry
Ability: Turboblaze
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

Groudon-Primal @ Choice Scarf

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

IVs: 0 Atk

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Parental Bond
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Dragon Ascent
- High Jump Kick
- Trick

I honestly don't understand h1v1 and I'm p bad at it but this team won a match iirc. Mega Diancie takes on the annoying af imprisonformers, with it's STABs bopping Shuckle/Giratina. Sub protects from future sleeps after your lum is gone. PDon is just powerful, and special is fun bcz it bops Blissey w/ Surf and Eruption is super strong. MAero is similar to PDon except physical, HJK bops Arceus and then 2 STABs + Trick fairly standard ig? idk it worked tho. not the best team prob (or maybe it is LOL) but i dont play this meta enough (only made it to 1400 w/ a triple pbond meme team when it was omotm lel) and have only used it like once or twice, so i can't judge if it's good or not.

Sableye @ Focus Sash
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 244 SpD / 16 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Foul Play
- Recover
- Taunt

I designed this sableye set to ct the common medicham/breloom/kyub people were using and that's about it. bw is like, insanely matchup based but this worked in the tour so yeah.

Registeel @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Iron Head
- Rest
- Protect

ez ct to all the cloyster running around. bulky enough to live stuff and can flinchax ez w/ yellow magic + iron head stab v -1 cloyster. restochesto for dem heals.

idk shit about ubers 1v1 so i picked a couple things that looked good. mmy beats mmx, darkrai, and lugia which were common or used by ryy and lugia checks like all of the meta

Kangaskhan @ Kangaskhanite
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Sucker Punch
- Low Kick
- Rock Slide

Lugia @ Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Roost
- Aeroblast

Mewtwo @ Mewtwonite Y
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Aura Sphere
- Shadow Ball
- Protect

shoutouts Dream Eater Gengar for trying to give me hackmons 1v1 teams and then having a h1v1 noob (me) realize they actually suck ass bcz they autolose to imprisonform why are you so bad ayy lmoa
also to my opponents for some fun matches that's like ryyjyywyy, parivard, Illusio, LaxLapras, and Sobi iirc was a fun trip
also to dusk raimon aesf and Uselesscrab for letting me steal some sets

I guess I'll put some teams here, most of my standard teams are slight variations of DEG's teams, (I only had him build me one team I swear) so I won't put those, but I'll put my other teams I guess.

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Seismic Toss
- Growl
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave

Victini @ Choice Band
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Trick
- Bolt Strike
- V-create
- Zen Headbutt

Deoxys-Defense @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 152 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Iron Defense
- Amnesia
- Recover
- Taunt

If PP stall is the game, then this team is what you need. Deoxys-D is the star of this team, being the premier PP Staller. Chansey pretty much just handles special attackers and Choice Band Victini provides some offensive pressure as well as checking MSableye, Whimsicott, and a couple other Stallier mons.

Kyurem-Black @ Haban Berry
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 64 SpA / 112 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Outrage
- Fusion Bolt
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power

It was Haban Berry Kyurem. Unfortunately there wasn't enough other Kyurem's for this to really work in the tournament. Oh well.

Regigigas @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Parental Bond
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Lonely Nature
- Fake Out
- Extreme Speed
- Whirlpool
- Bullet Punch

Arceus @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Imprison
- Transform
- Dark Void

Shedinja @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Magic Coat
- Whirlpool
- Protect
- Endeavor

Someone told me to run, either Huge Power or Parental bond Regigigas, so I did. Silk scarf FakeSpeed for power. Whirlpool because I thought Sturdinja would be popular and I don't even remember why I had Bullet Punch, I think it was for like Sand Stream MAero. Someone else told me to run ImprisonForm, so I did. Prankster Arceus was my choice because of the Arceus, I presumed would be hard to predict and prankster to beat other ImprisonForm users. Definitely a great strategy, and it never lost in the tour. Sturdinja is Sturdinja. Magic Coat is for Dark Void.

Kyurem-White @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Turboblaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Fusion Flare

Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Fire Punch
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge
- Dragon Claw

Arceus @ Draco Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 SpD
Impish Nature
- Toxic
- Recover
- Earthquake
- Protect

This team never saw play in the tour, which I'm kind of sad about. Kyurem-W is an uprgraded Kyurem-B. Primal Groudon is freaking Primal Groudon and is scary offensive. Dragon-Arceus was my Primal Groudon check because I didn't really know what to put in that spot.

No it doesn't; mega stones can be tricked if the holder isn't the intended Pokemon. Mail doesn't exist in generation 6 legitimately either so there really isn't a way around TrickChoice.
nice manaphy face but what is the manaphy moveset? cause it has to use scald and tail glow.

OK. I see. I made a mistake. Though, If keldeo goes up in rank and gets used more then that calc wont be useless. Tips for other calcs or such i should add?
Also, I am pretty sure no one uses that truant durant set anymore.
I have literally never faced keldeo on the single battle ou tier.EVER

Has anyone looked at spinda on smogon? it is kinda screwed up but is hilarious

Ok dude I wasn't gonna say anything after the second post but this third one hit my line amd the FOURTH one passed it. Please stop double and triple posting. There's an edit button in the bottom left if you wanna add more thoughts in. You shouldn't really be posting without collecting your thoughts first anyways. You did this in ou as well. Also, all of your posts have very little content. Casually referencing spinda and saying you've never faced keld are great and all but this is the 1v1 resources thread and those aren't relevant to anyone here. I'm not meaning to be a dick here, you're new and I get that, but try and lurk more before posting as well as avoid double (and more) posting please.

while i am certainly new to the forums i am not new to pokemon and everybody is using sets that are mostly commonplace or at least the pokemon are. Some things that really should be mentioned is the sweeping capabilities of mega gyarados and mega pinsir and toxic mandibuzz.

Did you just respond to a post I made a year and a half ago about how mega stones could be tricked or knocked off with a question about what a manaphy moveset that I didn't mention is? In fact, did you just respond to 2 posts from at least a year ago? Yeah looks like it to me.
Buddy, new to the forums/Pokemon or not, you should really consider thinking more before you post like really how is Spinda's analysis relevant to anything. Gonna just echo Josh here in terms of that.

ddn't look at when it was posted really new man sorry

Since Gen 6 is coming to a close and I probably won't start playing any time soon anyway, here's the sets I liked to use. These are more or less just 3 pokemon that happen to counterteam 3 different people on the ladder using some of the following sets. I won't say I was the first to use many of these since that's not true for almost all. Because of the counter-teamy nature of all of these sets, you won't find stuff like Scarf Kyurem-B and SD Mega Mawile in here, since almost every team prepares for them and they don't exactly lure anything, making them typically inefficient for long ladder winning streaks.

Listed in order of general quality (but not strictly)
Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 200 HP / 172 Atk / 92 Def / 44 Spe OR 252 HP / 8 Atk / 64 Def / 144 SpD / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Tailwind
- Outrage
- Flare Blitz
Probably one of the best sets in this collection; this beats the standard zard x/zard y, mawile, Kyurem-B, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Garde. The first EV spread maximizes Attack while beating physical attackers (scarf fusion bolt Kyube, jolly zard X, Mega Lop), while the second spread sacrifices attack in order to beat Timid Greninja. Other than that you can basically send this thing out vs everything and probably at least come close to winning.

Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 68 Atk / 88 Def / 100 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Stone Edge / Crunch / Taunt
- Waterfall / Crunch

My personal favorite Gyarados spread. 252/88 tanks two naive Kyurem-B fusion bolts, while 100 Spe lets Gyara outspeed Bandchomp at +1. It's still fairly powerful, but it has most of the good aspects of fast gyara and all the good aspects of slow bulky gyara.

Manaphy @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 12 SpA / 88 SpD / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Acid Armor
- Rain Dance
- Scald
- Rest
One of my favorite sets, I used this quite a bit in the earlier portion of the generation. Used this as a way to beat Scarf Kyurem-B, double Zard, Mega Mawile, (sometimes) Gyara, and others. 136+ Def allows Manaphy to beat Naive Kyurem-B, always being able to set up an acid armor, then a rain dance, then a rest. 12 SpA lets Manaphy 2HKO Charizard X in rain always, 20 Spe is for speed creep for bulky base 100s, and 88 SpD lets Manaphy survive Solarbeam + Air Slash from Timid Zard Y and usually win without hax.

Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 240 HP / 104 Atk / 152 Def / 12 Spe
Impish Nature
- Counter
- Taunt / Iron Head
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
EVs to beat Band Chomp while maximizing attack, 12 speed creep for other mawile. I used taunt back when paracharm chansey was a thing, and I guess it shuts down a bunch of other threats too, but it's probably not as good as it was. Iron Head's probably the best option here, though any coverage really is fine.
EVs to live jolly band chomp outrage and OHKO back.

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 224 HP / 160 Def / 16 SpA / 108 Spe
Modest Nature
- Rock Tomb
- Blast Burn
- Solar Beam
- Will-o-Wisp

Unlike other zards, it beats Gyarados, Kyurem-B, and other Zard Y. 224 HP is for Greninja cannons, Speed is for Adamant Gyara, though I guess you could dump those into defense if you want to. Rock Tomb always beats other Zard Y, Will-o-Wisp helps with a variety of random mons, especially with sturdy.

Meloetta @ Choice Specs
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 220 HP / 252 SpA / 36 Spe OR 252 / 124 Def / 108 SpA / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hyper Beam
- Psyshock
- Trick
- Shadow Ball

Standard, self explanatory set.

Mew @ Kee Berry
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 Spe OR 252 HP / 120 SpD / 136 Spe
Timid Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt
- Reflect Type / Stone Edge / Avalanche
- Roost
Yet another tweak to a fairly normal set - I just added kee berry to help it almost always beat physical attackers, since many can overpower you even when burned, so the extra defense boost is nice. Reflect Type is excellent for dealing with stuff like Gyarados, Mega Heracross, Dark types, and Mega Venusaur. Stone Edge lets you hit Megazard Y, but run 148 Spe if you want Stone Edge in order to actually outspeed Zard Y. Avalanche counters the Sableye/Crustle/Lando team.

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Substitute
- Outrage
- Flare Blitz
Generally good, fairly standard set that happens to be good because people don't like preparing for zard x. Adamant sucks, jolly is much better. I tend to prefer the tailwind set more though.

Landorus-Therian @ Lum Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 240 HP / 228 Atk / 24 Def / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Rock Tomb

Pretty fun set to use, I forget what the first EV spread is for, but this was basically made to hard counterteam a lot of people on the ladder at once one day. Beats stally pokemon like Sableye, Zard X, Meloetta, Mega Lop, and Mawile. 240 HP lives a 252+ Meloetta Hyper Beam after knock off, 16 Spe outspeeds Zard X at -1, 228 Atk always OHKOs 252/252+ Zard X with a combo of Rock tomb and Earthquake, and the rest is in defense.

Meloetta @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 120 SpA / 12 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Beam
- Thunder Wave
- Teeter Dance
- Substitute

step 1: thunder wave
step 2: teeter dance
step 3: spam sub until they stop moving
step 4: win

Hyper beam should OHKO lopunny

Rhyperior @ Choice Band
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 104 HP / 252 Atk / 56 SpD / 96 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Wrecker
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Ice Punch / Any coverage / Metal Burst or Counter

Back before Rhyperior was used, no one really prepared for it, and that's why this set had been so effective. 96 Spe beats 8 Spe Mawile, 104/56 for scarf Kyurem-B ice beam.

Thundurus-Therian @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder
- Hyper Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
Came up with this when I wanted to beat all those people spamming Zard X/Zard Y, Gyarados, and Mawile teams. Great Speed Tier, great power, fairly good coverage. Thunder kills mawiles in 1 hit.

Kyurem-Black @ Choice Specs
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
- Focus Blast / Fusion Bolt / rock move
Good lure set, mainly good at luring mawile and I guess bulky zards. Even though it doesn't solo teams like other mons in this compendium, it's great for scouting the ladder by picking up free wins against mawiles.

Smeargle @ Chilan Berry / Wide Lens
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Void
- Imprison
- Transform
- Magic Coat
Standard Smeargle set, but with Chilan Berry just to mess with Karl's Entei. Wide Lens is usually better though if the ladder is Bulky-entei-free.

Lanturn @ Air Balloon / Chilan Berry
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 8 HP / 196 Def / 96 SpA / 200 SpD / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Soak
- Confuse Ray
- Thunderbolt

This set does not lose as long as you don't have atrocious luck. Lanturn is fat af and it's impossible to defeat parafusion, so you basically get 3 turns to set up twave --> confuse ray --> soak --> kill. Really fun to use because sometimes simply winning isn't enough. EVs look really amazing and complicated and might help with Zard Y and Kyube or whatever but let's be real when you have an intimidating set your EVs better be intimidating too. Air Balloon probably helps with something although if you're real you use chilan berry and counter Porygon-Z with parafusion.

Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 116 Atk / 140 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Metal Burst
- Play Rough
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
The whole point of this set is to beat Greninja and Specs Kyurem-Black, since there are quite a few teams out there which can only beat Mawile with Greninja.

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 68 HP / 252 SpA / 188 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Rock Tomb
- Hidden Power [Ice]

idk

Deoxys-Speed @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 48 Def / 212 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Protect
- Recover
- Taunt
Funny (not really) thing that beats stall mons and choice mons, but takes a million years in the process. I think it can also beat any non-air slash Zard Ys too.

Skarmory @ Choice Band
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Iron Head
- Payback
- Rock Tomb

Skarmory that wins vs most charizards
skarmshouldbeband

Blissey @ Choice Specs
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 244 Def / 252 SpA / 12 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Hyper Beam
- Thunder / Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave

when your first memories of smogon including posting specs blissey to the OU creative sets thread and getting roasted by the mods
Click thunder wave, get 32 full paras, and kill with struggle.
