sensational stuff from newcastle.

honestly i think it's the central midfield that has the most quality in the newcaslte team. Cabaye + Tiote is a very balanced and potent CM. There are also quality players like Guttierez, Collocini and a bunch of french (BAN ME PLEASE)s with good technical ability.

Liverpool planning Tiote swoop in January? Seems likely considering newcastle is liverpool's feeder club (sorry Lee).

Great match. Agree that Newcastle have a great midfield. I love Cabaye and wanted Arsenal to snap him up, but whatever Arteta's ok.

So the undefeated Newcastle stay undefeated. Ameobi of all people :o

I hope the Manchester derby ends in a draw.We can then leapfrog United while getting close to City.

Haha Nos, don't apologise. It's flattering and gratifying that the mighty Liverpool want to be just like us. Must be a bit humbling for you though, no? I mean, why can't 'King' Kenny pluck out any diamonds in the rough? He only seems to be able to sign up established players and lacks the keen 'wheeler-dealer' eye of a Ferguson, Redknapp or Wenger.

nah we need a united win in the derby before the city are top yada yada stuff starts again like last season (when they had played 2 more gaems then everyoen near them lol).
as the league is atm, city have had it easy, united have played the togher games and are 2 points off, looking at that fixture list at the start i was expecting to be more like 6 off.

He and his tinted glasses cannot seem to get over the fact he has a long way to go before overturning United's sheer dominence over the past twety-or-so years.

I also don't have too much faith in Liverpool's youth academy - I mean, who have they produced in the last decade? Nobody of note, if memory serves.

You'd better hope those rich owners keep backing you because you seem to be dependant on buying established players which, as you well know, usually come with overblown price tags.

I'd be planning my escape if I were Van Persie.Gunners' fans better hope he's dumb enough to stay, come January. They're a one man team atm.

Was well harsh. Worst that could've happened would be if Vidic was half a second later and it might be like De Jong on Alonso at the World Cup but he didn't even get booked for that!

In other defender news, Vermaelen signed a new contract! Very happy about that. Fingers crossed we do well enough this season to convince Van Persie to stay. As soon as Vermaelen and Wilshere come back, Arsenal will be back on the map I'm sure. But it may be too late then that's the problem...

It wasn't a red card IMO. I've seen far worse shit that slides through like nothing, and Vidic's shit wasn't half the bad.

saw red card earlier, that is NOT a red card ever, if you got red carded for that there would be a lot of red cards every week.

Honestly the barclays club premiership refs are to aggresive, too much yellow cards in one game, they are blind aswell couldn't even see someone getting decked on the floor.

this was in the champions league pal!

btw i have put a cheeky fiver on marseille to win tonight so everyone keep your fingers crossed ;)

Fact:We've won four of our last six games against Belgian sides, drawing the other two.Couple that with our impressive home record in group stage matches and I think it's pretty clear who's gonna come out the victor.

So Nosferalto just want to hear your thoughts on how you think Liverpool will go in your next match?

Confident but not overly confident because Norwich showed that they are very dangerous particularly on the break. if it wasn't for some poor finishing they would have won at old trafford. I expect Liverpool to go ahead in the first half but if they don't score a second one, the pressure will pile up and Norwich might steal the equalizer. I expect Liverpool to win 2-0 but I wouldn't rule out a 1-1 scoreline if I'm honest.
