Arshavin back to Zenit on loan. I'm guessing Chamberlain's emergence makes him expendable, but still would rather have all hands on deck for the stretch run tbh. Meh whatever, Benayoun's been decent enough in his cameos.

I doubt we'll see Arshavin again really. Goodbye, and thanks for the Liverpool demolition job.

I'm kinda sad to see Arshavin go in the end because I really did like him, it's a shame that he disappointed so badly in the last season or so.

Benayoun is quality though, why did Liverpool ever let him go?
 
these transfer windows are dumb, russian window only closes today? if we are going to have a transfer window, at least have the same window for everyone, makes everyones life easier.
 
wolves sack mccarthy only to appoint the assistant anyway? definitely a decision for the sake of a decision! wolves needed a change, but i don't see this as a change tbh.

Russia has a summer season though, so this was there large one. They'll only get 1 month when we get 3 in june-september. Just of think of the russians playing in THEIR winter.

extremely aggravating to watch him play. so slow, never looks to go forward (1/2 of the time he passes the ball back to tim krul) and even with his height struggles to dominate the high ball
 
in fairness he was one of our best players towards the end of last season and the beginning of this season but all these injuries seem to have taken their toll. hopefully he'll pull through it because the combination of him, Colloccini and Krul were looking like an incredibly potent defensive unit, probably the best I've seen at this club in over a decade.

always disappointing to lose a game when you're 2-0 up, but if there's a positive to be taken from it it's that Cisse is having no difficulties adjusting to the premiership. 2 goals in his first 2 games thank you very much.

biggest game of the season for us next week so i'm hoping we can pick ourselves up. we're actually still looking pretty darn good for that top 6 finish when you look at our run-in...with all due respect, Norwich, West Brom, Swansea, Bolton and Wigan are all winnable games and if we can nick some points against the clubs around us (Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool) then anything's possible.
 
Still won't qualify for CL though.Maybe Europa league behind one of the London clubs(hopefully,us).
 
I never expected to qualify for CL and the fact that you even feel the need to mention it is like the biggest compliment you could pay us.
 
I expected Newcastle to be relegated, not gonna lie. I had Newcastle, Swansea and Norwich on my drop list before the beginning of the season. Now they're probably favourites to get CL place.

Speaking of CL place... NORTH LONDON DERBY!!! KO in half an hour, can't wait. Quietly optimistic that Arsenal will get off their backsides and really power through Spurs cos they are capable of that, but who am I kidding we're big underdogs so I'll probably get ripped into for even thinking that. But still if Robin, Ox and Gerv play to 100% of their ability then we can win.

Actually scratch that i just saw the teamsheet... No pace apart from Walcott and as much as I like Rosicky and Benayoun I really don't think they are direct enough for this kind of match... Looks like Wenger set out to stall. I guess it could be good if Wenger can introduce a fresh Ox and Gerv in the second half. Sigh, keepin the faith.
 
would like to take this opportunity to feel smug as fuck to everyone who tipped swansea for the drop. having said it's probably possible to dig up a post of mine doing the same thing haha.

pool v kerdiff today. i am shitting myself. ive gone RIGHT off liverpool re: the whole suarez thing but obviously cardiff CANNOT win else that is it. march is ruined
