Don't forget parking his car wherever he likes in town "because he can just pay the fines". Legend. I hope he has an illustrious career to be ended prematurely by going to jail, it would be the most fitting end!

Don't worry about that, we'll give them a real game next week. Van Persie and Gervinho have really hit top form these last 2 weeks and they have been absolutely unplayable. Ramsey is getting better and better while Arteta and Song have done their job at the back. Koscielny has pulled out good defending from his ass and he's been really good these past 2 weeks too while Mertesacker is settling. The only question mark for me is Walcott because he hasn't looked good enough so far and Arshavin and Rosicky will be pushing for a place because they have looked reborn lately too.

I'm not really worried about Arsenal, I know we can play well, it's Chelsea's defence that is the biggest concern. Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry and Cole is a great defence and I don't know whether Gervinho, RVP and Walcott/Arshavin can get past them. Ramsey will need to have a great game to break through to the forwards. Chelsea's midfield is strong too and Sturridge, Torres, Mata upfront will be a real handful for our semi-makeshift defence. Should be a good game!

Sigh....And here I was chuckling at the fact that we were gonna leapfrog United into 2nd.Damn you Chris Foy.

I think it's gonna be interesting to see who gets benched when Vermaelen recovers next week. Do we take apart Koscielny and Mertesacker just as they're starting to settle, or do we bench our best defender and vice captain? Koscielny and Vermaelen looked pretty solid early on, but a Mertesacker-Vermaelen partnership is also quite intriguing.......

I'd say that we need to try and set up more 1v1s for Gervinho more against Chelsea. He's likely gonna be up against Ivanovic, and who better to exploit Gervinho's pace against than a slow converted centerback? Walcott will probably have his hands full against cashley, but then we don't expect much from him anymore so whatever. I'm afraid though that the opposite could happen to us in Mata vs Djourou.

edit: I just found out that cashley is suspended for 5 yellows. If there's a time for Theo to shine, it's now.

Nah, Cole should be back for our game because he'll miss Carling Cup in midweek. How many days is Bosingwa banned for? Apparently he might be back next weekend too.

I don't think Tommy V will be back next week, it may be 2 more weeks before he gets back but when he does he'll be the first name on the teamsheet for me. He's one of the best defenders in the PL and we absolutely need him if we wanna have a solid defence. Vermaelen and Koscielny looked decent at the very start of the season so Wenger may prefer them because they are faster and more mobile, reserving Mertesacker for rugby matches vs Stoke, Bolton, West Brom and the like.

Mata has a shoulder injury so I'm not sure if he'll miss the game, if he does then Chelsea could be a little bit weaker in midfield which would be nice. Realistically I think we'll score goals but I don't expect any points from this encounter because we have 6 defenders injured and we literally only have Djourou, Koscielny, Mertesacker and Santos left and they are inexperienced playing together. However we could always try outscoring Chelsea if Gervinho, RVP and Ramsey decide to have the game of their lives! They have been playing very well together lately.

Even though I'm a United fan, I always said Balotelli was a beast, even when people laughed at him not being able to dress properly.

Ameobi out for 6 weeks with a hamstring :( I hope Ba and Best can keep scoring for Toon, or Lovenkranz can step up when called upon. Still can't believe how well the toon are playing at the moment.

Also Milner's been playing with a cracked rib for the last 3 weeks... top pro.

i have conserns about city in the long haul, if ballotelli is doing this sort of thing a day before a big match, why is manchini yet again, letting him get away with this sort of behaviour, surly, ballotelli should have been punished for it, otherwise it shows that manchini either cares about winning the dearby too much, or he has zero control on disapline, you cant have ballotelli doing stuff like that, throw that on top of tevez, last i read the punishments for him were reduced. if manchini cant control the players dicipline, this is going to effect the team on the pitch as well.

I have absolutely no doubt that City will implode one day, usually it's sometime before Christmas. Several of the overpaid prima donas will sulk for whatever reason, they'll lose a key player or two to injury, then the team stops winning and Mancini's job will be in danger yet again. Seen it all before. However I said at the start of the season that Man Utd weren't great last season and they look even weaker this season especially in defence because of experienced players retiring and being replaced by inexperienced youngsters (VDS and Scholes can't be replaced). City may end up doing what Utd did last season and just coast along while everyone else chokes around them.

I've said it before but I'll say it again, Chelsea for me are the strongest team in the PL this season and I expect them to duke it out with Man Utd for the title. Utd are in the running purely because SAF always knows how to pull victory from out of his (or the referee's) arse. Tottenham are still my dark horses. City LOL got no chance but great win over Utd the bastards.

edit:
Balotelli: "I don't care what people say about me. I am focused on my football, my manager, girlfriends and my family."

Girlfriends? Plural? What a legend!

haha everyone is trying to find something about city to hate because they have a genuine opportunity to pull away. i'm not even a city fan and I can see it's pretty pathetic.
OH NO BALOTELLI IS A BAD BOY HE SHUD BE BAN FROM FOTBAL SO HE DUSNT SCOAR GOLE AGENST ANYWUN. Sport needs it's personalities, deal with it.

shit beer, shit trophy. for clubs like us (and any other club that doesn't begin with manchester for that matter...), the carling cup is just a distraction.

edit: i'm not bitter

edit edit: that wasn't a carling-based pun btw
