Didn't see the game, but apparently Wigan were the better side. So credit to them.. I've had them down for relegation for so long, they've battled it for so long and always manage to escape. Can they pull it off again? I wouldn't bet against them.
Paul Scholes has to play in every game from now until the end of the season, IMO. I would also like to see us go for a 433, or even bring in Berbatov for a game. Both Welbeck and Hernandez have been off the pace for a few weeks now. I love them both and they have great quality, but at the moment when they're on the pitch it's literally like we're playing with 10 men ._.
Cleverley or Young behind the striker please, it's worth a try now. If we can get a solid lead against Villa or Everton, it'll be easier for Welbeck / Hernandez to come off the bench and have no pressure to score, so maybe they'd suddenly hit some form..
I'm a bit disappointed because this game was the banker. Out of the six we had left, this was the one we should have just gone at and pushed it aside. Good win and move into the last five games eight points clear. Now, one slip up, even a draw, which is entirely possible against Aston Villa, Everton, or Sunderland (away) coupled with a loss to Man City which is just as (if not more) likely could cost us the title. Also, not smashing QPR for five or six when they were down to 10 men for so long could have cost us as well.
I think if United win the title it will because of avoiding defeat away at Man City. If we lose there I'd kind of fancy City to nick it on goal difference. Although they do have tough games away to Norwich and Newcastle, so we'll see how that goes.
I'm just sick of all the United 'fans' here and it does make me cooler to not support them because i know more about them than the millions here that claim to support them just because it's good for their image or something.
I do just want to ask, who are all the Man Utd fans here? The only ones I know are myself and phalanx. I think I'm very reasonable in my comments, but obviously I'm going to think that. I can't really speak 'for' phalanx, but I honestly think he sees red way too much lol. But even disregarding that, we're both in/from Manchester and have supported them all of our lives, as far as I'm aware. I at least have, anyway. I live and work near Old Trafford and have lived here all 23 years of my life. I've only ever supported Man Utd since I was young. Even if we slip off the pace when Fergie leaves and other teams continue to progress, I'll always support my team.
