You were lucky enough to get a 90 minute goal so please

also HBK, Lampard took the penalty because Ba wanted him to cause 'he's the main man' and its better if Lamps took it so he can be equal to Bobby Tambling's goal record.

theres dickheads at every club, doesn't surprise me at all

edit: i thought the suarez goal was an accidnet, just think he gets the worst of it cause of his rep

Yeah take Messi for example, some people praised him after his goal, calling him Maradonas successor and etc. and people are now calling Suarez a cheat.

also I need to ask everyone a question: is the Sunday People a trustworthy source?

i'm not sure calling someone maradona's successor in relation to a handball goal is a compliment

also i think this is the first time i've ever wanted arsenal to win a game, really want them at the amex next round!

absolutely not, it's a trashy Sunday tabloid

Djourou left Arsenal on loan to Hannover. Again great news, Djourou is just not good enough as a player for the top level. He lacks positional awareness, composure, strength, football intelligence... I could go on. He's a nice guy but really just isn't good enough and I'm glad his insane 60k a week is off the wage bill too!

Wenger has been linked with a move for Yann M'Vila again... I do hope it's true. If Arshavin and Squillacci leaves too then we could really have freed up some money for a top signing in attack and a backup to Gibbs in left back. Wenger has done unbelievably well this season in finally getting the deadwood out of the squad! (Bendtner, Denilson, Park, Chamakh, Djourou, Van Persie... lol jk I'm just bitter)

This is probably going to be the most important month of the season. Looking at the schedule I do fear for the worst - City, Chelsea, FA Cup replay against Swansea, West Ham, another potential FA Cup game, Liverpool and Stoke on the 2nd February. Even the most optimistic fan would say those will be some tough games. We are already lagging behind in the league that we can't afford to drop any more points but you couldn't look at any of them and bank a win... And let's be honest Arsenal are desperate for any trophy so there will be just as much pressure on the FA Cup games if not even more so! However if we win all of them then it will set us up nicely for Bayern Munich next month :D

Conclusion: Optimistic fan go go!

I always fear us playing Stoke and Everton more than teams like Liverpool.

Fixed.

I was honestly a fan of Denilson, and I thought Wenger was too. He is only on loan, I hope he gets another chance at Arsenal.

I'm a fan too. The gooners hated him because he was a fairly limited "water-carrier" but the same could be said about Arteta who's only capabilities are keeping the ball moving and being an above average penalty taker. I think they should have saved the 10m fee they payed for Arteta and stuck with Denilson, who is also superior at breaking up play.

Arteta is on a whole other level compared to Denilson. Arteta is calm and composed and disciplined in his role. He keeps it simple at the back but is also very good as a creative attacker when he does go forward. Denilson has good ability but like any young player with a bit of talent he can't seem to play the simple ball and he goes walkabout around the pitch and loses his position frequently. You can put up with inexperience and bad decision making if the young player clearly has huge talent (like Sterling or Ox or, dare I say it, Sturridge) but Denilson just wasn't worth it especially because he was a defensive player where every mistake gets punished!

When it comes down to it, you can trust Arteta and he's the type of player you're not afraid of giving the ball to because you expect him to keep it, shrug off challenges and to create something. Denilson was exactly the opposite.

all we need now is ryan babel

Well no surprises , should win it for the suit alone.

World Team of the year is the usual Barcelona overhype though.

Xavi, Pique and Alves were not all that good but they play for Barcelona so always get votes.

Should have been

-----------------Casillas-------------------

Arbeloa --- Ramos --- Chielleni --- Jordi Alba

----------------Busquets------------------

------Pirlo---------------------------------

---------------------------Iniesta---------

---Messi--------------------Ronaldo-------

-------------Ibra/RVP/Falcao--------------

The three strikers are just as good as each other.

Says so much about how far the EPL has fallen when not a single player from an english team was picked in the team of the year.

and if the english media continue to act the way they have, they are going to force suarez, arguably the best player in the league, out of the country.

slight bias in favour of spanish players and spanish clubs maybe?

just a little bit though?

team of the year said:
Fifa World XI of the Year
Iker Casillas (Real Madrid); Dani Alves (Barcelona), Gérard Piqué (Barcelona), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Marcelo (Real Madrid); Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Xavi (Barcelona), Andrés Iniesta (Barcelona); Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Radamel Falcao (Atlético Madrid), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid).

at least try and look unbiased

Suarez would be no loss. and he is nowhere near the best player in the league.

I bet RVP won't get get in that next year even if he scores even more then last season.

Imo Suarez is better than RvP. More creativity and stuff.

RB should of been Lahm and One of those CB's should go to make room for Hummels/Kompany/Thiago Silva. Don't get why Marcelo is there, either Ashley Cole or Jordi Alba should of gotten that. Also Pirlo deserved more than Xabi Alonso.

I honestly don't like the man that is Rvp but I have to admit that he is a footballing genius. But that's about it. You might say that it's more than enough but he is severely lacking in some physical parts of the game specifically pace and acceleration. He can't get past players and doesn't have enough speed to run in behind defences. Unfortunately for him, this is something that he won't be able to change as he grows older.

Before the man utd fan boys slaughter me, keep in mind that I just stated Rvp's weaknesses as a striker. If i had to talk about the good stuff, a 10 page essay wouldn't be enough.

On the other hand Suarez's main problems is that he is often guilty of running with his head down and his finishing is sometimes lacking. It's debatable whether he is better than Rvp but if he can become as ruthless in front of goal as van persie, he will be miles ahead of him by the time he is rvp's age.
