if i listed the top 10 premier league strikers, i reckon chico would just about edge his way in there. guy's a natural goalscorer.

suarez
van persie
aguero
rooney
soldado
benteke
sturridge
dzeko
giroud
negredo
bony
lukaku
berbatov
remy
torres
hernandez

shola ameobi
welbeck

i think all those fifteen players add a lot more than hernandez. also have not considered ba, eto'o, lambert, jovetic, osvaldo (latter two as i haven't seen them play much). if we are talking out-and-out goal scorers hernandez would be easily top 10, but IMO he is outside top 10. do not doubt me either as i'm #1 in the fantasy league at the mo

what do u guys all think? offer ur contributions.

think i put soldado too high =(

Van Nistelrooy never scored one from outside the area either.
Hernandez behind Torres? Welbeck behind torres?
Remy? Hernandez and Welbeck are higher then that.

Hernandez is really good, but he wouldn't crack top 10 for me

I rate these 3 on the same level

1. Suarez
2. RVP
3. Aguero

4. Rooney
5. Dzeko
6. Negredo
7. Giroud
8. Soldado
9. Sturridge

I don't really consider Michu and Jovetic as proper strikers but i'd rate them both ahead and not sure how much Eto'o has left. He is on par with Lukaku, Berbatov, Demba Ba, and Benteke imo.

Disappointing result but encouraging performance. We didn't deserve to win against Southampton but absolutely did here. With a bit more efficiency in front of goal, we could have gotten through to the next stage. Oh and terrible marking on the dubiously awarded corner they scored from.

I was really impressed with Sakho for the first time. We looked really good in a back three.

-----------------Mignolet

---------Skrtel----Sakho----Agger

--Johnson--------------------------Enrique
--------------Lucas---Gerrard

--------Suarez---Sturridge---Coutinho

Even if Welbeck would score 20 goals in one game, I would still stand by the fact that I think Torres is a better footballer than Welbeck..

Idk it's a tricky comparison. Torres can dribble better and is more creative but Welbeck's faster and a better finisher. Hmm yeah I think Welbeck just about edges it. Torres could still be one of the best strikers in the world; he might be slower but he's still in better physical condition than Van Persie. The only thing keeping him from that is his mental state. His confidence is low, he tends to make the wrong decisions, etc.

I'd prefer Welbeck for his defensive work and his ability to play out wide. Both are equally shit from an attacking sense which defeats the point of playing them. But yeah if I had to choose one I'd go danny fucking welbeck

Same ^, at least Welbeck can string a few passes together and believes he can actually do something. Torres is just waiting to fuck up.

problem with back three is that you essentially have one player doing 'nothing'. against the, now standard, one striker formations one of the CBs marks the striker while the other covers. adding an additional cb is kind of pointless as he's not really doing much and is almost redudant as you don't need two players covering or marking the same player. i believe this is one of the reasons why 3 at the back is pretty common in italia since often teams go two up top, and so two of the cbs man mark and one covers. the second problem is that you have no one to track the trequartista like a dm usually does, unless one of the cbs steps up. if thats the case then you are basically playing a 4-3-3 anyway

You wouldn't need one CB to press up if you defend deep as the CAM will be almost like a striker. My only issue with the three back formations is that it puts too much pressure on the other players. The wide midfielders are required to mark the opposing wide men which compromises their attacking threat and puts more pressure on the strikers to create chances. Otherwise you're just too open on the wings and if the CBs go wide to defend the flanks, it just leaves space for opposing strikers to exploit. It's just a big fucking mess. I guess you have to have a very dedicated CDM or two who can join one of the CB's in defence when under attack while the other two defend the flanks. But yeah, I never use these formations in FIFA.

3-5-2 is the best formation in FUT 13. I wonder which one will be in FUT 14. Speaking of that, anyone of you getting Fifa 14 on Xbox 360? I have still not decided whether to get it or not.

This post is dedicated to my hate for Spurs and Vertonghen. I've always ranted about Man Utd being lucky during matches and with officials but Tottenham have to be the luckiest team this season.

Spurs won their first two matches thanks to two questionable penalties and they were lucky to not have Vertonghen sent off after pulling down Helenius' shorts against Aston Villa (the score was 1-0 at the time so Villa would have possibly equalized through a penalty and played against 10 men for the rest of the match).

Today vertonghen blatantly dived when competing for the ball with Torres to get him his first yellow card. He then pulled Torres' shirt as they were falling during the incident where Torres got sent off. If anything, Vertonghen deserves the second yellow card. Tottenham deserved to lose today and were going to until Mike Dean decided to show why he is the worst referee in the premier league.

Other stuff to note:
1) Torres had a great game
2) Mike Dean really seems to give Tottenham decisions in their favour. He also likes to screw over Arsenal and the statistics show this.

Didn't watch the game, kinda wish I had now, but the result does no favours for either team. I have to ask when does the honeymoon wear off for Mourinho? If he wins his next 10 matches then great but if he draws or loses another one soon... how long before Chelsea fans lose their patience? You have to say Mourinho hasn't started great and has made some pretty contentious decisions, and they haven't been playing amazing football either. This is a huge result for Arsenal though, provided we don't go and lose at Swansea, which is highly possible seeing as they thrashed us last year... Please please don't fuck up!

I don't get it, why does Mourinho even play Mikel. He's like a fucking deadweight. Essien is much better and deserves to stary evey game. He's our best central midfielder as of now.

Moyes' management backfiring spectacularly. He thought he'd reward his fringe players who did well in midweek and continue with them into this game, probably thinking in the back of his head this'll be an easy game and he'd have his big guns back for the CL making it look like he kept everyone happy and pulled off a masterstroke. 9/10 times it works but when it doesn't you just have to LOL!
