Cahill too, best British CB atm although Jagielka's equally good. But the striker is the most important position on the field and all this world class talent is useless if there is no one to bang the goals in. Conversely, a team can be successful with a world class striker and little or no world class players as United demonstrated last season.

lol'd at Hazard, Oscar and Luiz being world class. Mata is probably the closest out of those you mentioned but he narrowly misses out for me.

Define world class because if Cech is world class to you then so should terry, cole, lampard, Hazard and Mata.

Poor Arsenal are lacking Mertesacker and so their defence could be in big trouble with Van Persie and Rooney terrorisin. Krul was excellent (and hey, I called the Newcastle win). City were just not at the races today, which is great for Chelsea, but crap for my fantasy football team.

mata is the only world class player chelsea have.

Then again there isn't that many in the league, and Kompany is the only one in defence.

Luiz wouldn't make the top 30 defenders in the world

I agree with xhizors to be fair, apart from Cech (who has been putting in a few shocking performances lately as well) we do not have any world class players. We need to get rid of average players like Mikel, Essien and etc.

I think they took what I said the wrong way. They have a squad full of very very good players but I just feel like with the money at disposal and their standing in world football, they should have aimed higher in the summer than a 32 year old etoo and players like Willian and Shurrle who are very good, but just not world class. Cavani and Falcao were available yet they went for cheaper alternatives for some reason. I think they even could gotten Luis Suarez if the 55m valuation was met (obviously a lot higher now with his performance and the bale fee raising the standard). World class is what Chel
