Out of that group Barcelona is probably their best bet.
Athletico are beasts this year, Bayern are still the best team in the world, Ronaldo and Ibra(and Cavani) are pretty much unstoppable at the minute. Barcelona are beatable without Messi and their shit defence.

How long is Messi even out for?

The difference in quality from the group winners and second place is hilariously obvious. It's like, top the group and practically guarantee advancing, tsk tsk. What is this shit? I want to look up some stats on CL group draws, round of 16 percentages, etc. wonder how many 2nd placers advance past the 16.

I heard that he'll be unable to play for the rest of the season. That being said, I doubt they'll make the semis this year.

Messi should be back by Jan provided his rehab goes well (he's recovered completely atm) though thanks to that drought he won't be breaking any records or taking home any awards this year round imo.

idk, as much as I hate to say this Ronaldo is in murderous form this year with a perfectly balanced offense supporting him. Also just fresh off from breaking the CL group stage record and well on his way to challenge the all time mark.

Chelsea has on average 57% possession for our home games(top 3 in the league). I if remember correctly they had had more on the day so it is probably going to be the same tomorrow.

Walcott is going to very important for Arsenal.

Gonna see Charlton vs Derby today with some friends :))

2-1 Derby imo

also City will beat Arsenal by a fair margin (at least 2 goals)

we need to salvage just 1 point from our next 2 premier league games, I'm hoping it comes against chelsea, a result against city away after napoli away is probably asking too much. No sagna + out of form wingers is really unfortunate for our counter-attacking options, also giroud to die from exhaustion before new years, poor guy.

actually sagna is playing according to the guardian.

The smart money's probably on City but I'm gonna stick my neck out and say we are going to annihilate them cos they have the cheek to play with 2 strikers. Plus we have Walcott back and Sagna's back for Jenks too Myzozoa. Clichy never gets forward so all their width is Zabaleta, it's a bad gameplan from Pellegrini imo and I hope he gets punished for it! I can't wait for this game! But in fairness it will probably be decided by two Szczesny mistakes and a Koscielny red card or something...

I think tactically Arsenal are in a better position with Walcott's pace and the creativity behind him on the break and Arsenal probably have a better midfield. I don't see Giroud doing too well.

However, City are at full strength with Kompany, Toure, Silva and Aguero in the team and it's hard to see them not winning especially at home.

I'm really not fan of Negredo. Not City quality. inb4 he scores

Decent game, Man City's attack were unbelievable, really fast and direct. Trouble is we had 2 goals wrongly disallowed for offside and a genuine penalty claim. The midfield looked really tired, when you're tired you don't pick the right decisions and Giroud lacked a bit of quality when he could have scored a couple, although Negredo could have had a couple too so that cancels that out. It's probably the thrashing people expected but maybe not the one Arsenal deserved!

All the hard work earlier in the season means this kind of result can happen and still be top, a good result is needed against Chelsea though!

Not even upset tbh.

That attack is just good as hell. Another day we would be just fine.

Monreal was really shit. Özil constantly was like..the fuck you doing (while on the ball, etc)

Özil not thanking the away fans though..ouch. Tbh, emotions are emotions. I'm honestly not even mad about it. Per with the lashing though, lol

Missed the City-Arsenal game coz I was out for my birthday celebration. Not really surprised with the result although I didn't expect so many goals. And, from the looks of it, we're going to be just two points adrift of the gunners :) Essien's looking great and I really hope that he starts against them next week.

lmfao talk about a disaster.
