Your Quagsire is superb and your style is so, but i feel theres something wrong with the shading details, anyway funny drawings.
Also you dont need art classes to be an artist.

I really like these. I'm a little confused as to how you make them with Word + an iPhone camera, but either way, they're really impressive, all things considered. Quagsire and Phanpy are your best imo :)

:/ I used a different color for some, and a black / white layer set to ~50-60% transparency for others. guess that needs a little more tweaking - thanks for the comments!

yea, NJ got it. my camera pics kinda suck, but they're enough to base a Word outline over, and it's much easier to draw on paper than in Word itself. thanks so much!

:D thanks! I actually have somewhat of a WIP I probably won't be able to finish before going MIA for a bit, so I might post what I've got then. just stumbled upon KG's tutorial though and that pretty much perfectly sums up the MS Word part of the process,

When I saw this pic i was at a loss as to what it actually was because I only looked at the smaller pics at the top of your op. I was almost sure that it was like a Snivy/Larvitar/Eevee/Pikachu fusion with a very prominent sphincter until Oglemi's post made me realize it was a rotated chikorita lol

If you can't do it on word, might I suggest maybe getting Photoshop or GIMP and using that to taper the lines? It's not all that uncommon for artists to use multiple programs. I switch between Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI, Illustrator and even Flash myself.

tried to make his eyes glow to get it more magic bounce-ish, but it just turned out comical looking trololol >_<

also, as is hopefully not too obvious, I don't know the first thing about shadowing - any tips would be humungously appreciated!!
