Strikeout Tournament: Little Cup Edition
The Strikeout Tournament is a tournament designed to test your ability to build and use teams in a rapidly changing metagame under limited conditions. As this tournament progresses, the number of legal Pokemon will decline, with two Pokemon banned globally, with an additional Pokemon that you get to ban from your opponent's team!
How does a Pokemon become unavailable?
First, there is the matter of the globally banned Pokemon. Every round, two Pokemon will be banned from the pool of available Pokemon. The first will be the Pokemon used the most by the battlers remaining in the tournament, while the second will be the Pokemon that was banned by the most players. For the first round, Misdreavus and Gligar will be banned from the pool.
Second, you may Strike Out one specific Pokemon from use for the opposing player. This can be a Pokemon that stops one of your key sweepers, or an offensive threat that your team may not be capable of handling. Bear in mind that your choice of Pokemon may clue your opponent in on what type of team you intend to run, so choose wisely! This ban applies only to the specific player, and only lasts for one round. The next round, if the Pokemon is not globally or specifically banned, it will be available for use again.
How to Strike Out a Pokemon
To Strike Out a Pokemon from your opponent's team, send a PM to me and GoldenKnight consisting of the matchup, the name of the Pokemon to Strike Out, and the name of your opponent.
Seven Deadly Sins vs. GoldenKnight14
Striking out Magikarp from GoldenKnight14.
Do not send your PM directly to your opponent. In order to insure fairness, Strikeout PMs will be sent simultaneously to each battler in a matchup.
You may change your strikeout any time before you receive your opponent's strikeout choice. However, once you receive your opponent's choice of ban, you may not change your own again.
In order to collect statistics, as well as enforce bans and prevent use of illegal movesets, all players must PM their teams to Seven Deadly Sins and GoldenKnight14. You may PM your team once you have received your strikeout for the round. However, you may not battle until you receive confirmation that your team obeys all various Little Cup-related rules.
As always, the Little Cup rules:
Pokémon: Players are allowed a team of up to 6 Pokémon that meet the following conditions:
- The Pokémon must be able to evolve.
- The Pokémon must be the earliest evolution stage obtainable.
- The Pokémon must be at Level 5.
- The Pokémon must not be on the Ubers list.
- The items DeepSeaTooth and Berry Juice may not be held by Pokemon on your team.

- Sleep Clause is ON.
