Even pendulums swing both ways
I get Dragonite is better in most aspects of the single role, but some people inevitably will want coil. Using both is a real possibility atm, and if they turn out as good as advertised there could be merit to using both. I wasn't trying to give you the best sets in the metagame; i was trying to give people ideas.

PINK POWER

@ Metal Coat w/ Levitate

80 / 80 / 115 / 110 / 155 / 100
It may not boast the Defense of Dragonite, but it has Special Defense in spades, plus Levitate to bypass the Ground weakness, leaving it only vulnerable to Fighting (or Mold Breaker.) You also get your Defog support, which is great because you resist SR and take nothing from T/Spikes. Absorbs Poison and Steel for Cresselia and Audino.

@ Cherish Ball w/ Levitate

120 / 70 / 145 / 75 / 155 / 75
Thunder Wave for speed control if you so choose. Otherwise it's just an even fatter wall with STAB Moonblast now. Send Fighting and Mold Breaker EQs aimed for Latias this way.

@ Cherish Ball w/ Regenerator

103 / 60 / 111 / 60 / 111 / 50
And here's your cleric and Wish passer. It's less fat than Mega Audino ... but it has Regenerator! And it takes the Ghost attacks Cresselia hates as well.

Teravolt Metal Coat Kyurem-B breaks the core with Earth Power and Iron Head, assuming it will run those moves together. For insurance against it you can pack a Sharp Beak Jirachi, which evades Ground, shrugs off Steel, Dragon, and non-STAB Ice Beams, only fearing non-STAB Fusion Bolt.
@ Sharp Beak

100 / 120 / 95 / 100 / 95 / 130
Jirachi carries hazards, which this core lacks, and a trolly Serene Grace Iron Head backed up by 130 Speed. Throw in U-turn to bring in a Ground-type to scare out Kyurem-B, as Jirachi v Metal Coat Kyurem-B is a bit of a stalemate. That could be any Landorus-T, Soft Sand Gyarados, or Soft Sand Hydreigon, but they aren't pink ...

@ Soft Sand

95 / 150 / 90 / 120 / 70 / 100
Just pray Kyurem-B still doesn't have Ice Beam!

Magnet Kyurem-B with Flash Cannon gives all 5 grief and is immune to Thunder Wave, but luckily it can be Toxicked and is weak to Fairy. Non-STAB Flash Cannon won't threaten a healthy Cresselia that much. Moonblast's drops will force it out. (Is it obvious how much a threat Kyurem-B will be?)

Also, can we still use regular items? It's never explicity mentioned, but Ferrothorn's threat desc mentions that it's gonna miss out on leftovers. Probably might be better to mention that earlier.
Reposting this because we still don't know and uh, G-Luke's team has a sablenite.

lucky n bad
One question I had, will the new typing (or just the item used) be visible? MnM and Nature Swap have the relevant data shown next to a Pokémon's stat changes.

SpartanMalice

Y'all jokers must be crazy
Ah thanks mallpal, the comment on Ferrothorn not being able to use lefties threw me off. No need to replace Zard X then but still, anyway...

Arcanine @ Dragon Fang, Salamence/Dragonite/Garchomp/Haxorus @ Charcoal *(The idea is to have a DDancer that can't be burned so while Haxorus is a bit of a stretch it does benefit a little).

SpartanMalice

Y'all jokers must be crazy
Since no one brought it up so far..

Garchomp @ Metal Coat
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 76 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Dragon Tail
- Fire Blast

New Stats: 108/130/120/80/110/92

While it still loses its great speed, Garchomp's tank set can still be effective with that great Dragon/Steel typing. Dragonite could probably pull off one of this too, but Metal Coat wouldn't be its priority.

Reuniclus @ Metal Coat w/ Regenerator
110/65/100/125/110/20

Now that it resists Stealth Rock and is immune to Toxic, Reuniclus can finally afford to run Regenerator, giving it more longevity. Psychic/Steel is pretty meh coverage, though.

Zapdos @ Mystic Water w/ Pressure
90/90/85/145/120/90

Electric/Water is a pretty good defensive typing for Zapdos, trading a weakness to Ice- and Rock-type moves for Ground- and Grass-type ones, as well as a greater special bulk. On the other hand, losing Leftovers might hurt a bit...

Clawitzer @ Dragon Fang w/ Mega Launcher
71/93/83/140/84/69

Not only does it have a better defensive typing (with a minimal loss of bulk), Clawitzer now gets STAB for Mega Launcher-boosted Dragon Pulse, and its Atk is buffed to the point where it can go mixed to break past special walls.

Some ideas for Voltturn:

Mienshao @ Sharp Beak / Silver Powder
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- High Jump Kick
- Poison Jab
- Bounce / Stone Edge / Fake Out

Mienshao can make use of its nice base 105 speed to achieve effective base 135 Speed or 120 Speed by using Sharp Beak or Silver Powder, respectively. Sharp Beak is probably the ideal item, as it shoots Mienshao's speed through the roof while granting it STAB Bounce along with a great Fighting/Flying defensive typing, but if you opt not to use Bounce Silver Powder is another option to maintain a similar boost in Attack while granting STAB on U-turn with Fighting/Bug. This plays pretty much exactly like Mienshao in Standard, just with a different defensive typing and a LOT more speed.

Darmanitan @ Black Belt / Soft Sand
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Rock Slide
- Superpower / Earthquake

Darmanitan really sticks out to me just because of the absolute, raw power that it brings. With either Black Belt or Soft Sand, its Attack reaches base 170, and that along with STAB on Flare Blitz and one of Superpower or Earthquake breaks heads. As a nice buff, both items also neutralize its SR weakness. It's a bit slow, but if you can get it in against something that's afraid of it heads will roll.

Cobalion @ Magnet
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Focus Blast
- Stealth Rock / Magnet Rise (for the lulz) / whatever

Cobalion is BLAZING fast (short of Magnet Starmie, basically nothing relevant outspeeds base 138 speed). This is a pretty generic set, but I think it has the potential to do well: Steel/Electric combined with Cobalion's solid bulk means that it will be able to get easy switches in to operate as a fast pivot. I'd recommend Stealth Rock for the final slot, but if your team already has a setter the slot is free to do what you want. Magnet Rise stuck out to me as something to piss off Ground-types, considering you will basically always outspeed them.

Get your wallbreakers ready
252 Atk Sheer Force Black Belt Darmanitan Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Metal Coat Weezing: 344-408 (102.9 - 122.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

That being said, being able to almost tank an SE STAB SF boosted base 120 attack coming off of base 170 Attack...is pretty incredible.

Also, I rip the sprites from the analysis pages. I'm sure there's an easier way, though.

[EDIT]: Adding on to my previous brainstorm about Voltturn, I think that Wobbuffet will be a spectacularly useful tool on such teams to neuter offense. Wobbuffet gains a tremendous amount from this metagame (perhaps even banworthy, but we'll undoubtedly look at that in the future once this is playable); With Cherish Ball or Metal Coat, it can drastically improve its defensive typing. However, there is another important effect of these items at play: their defensive stat boosts. For most previously bulky Pokemon, the base stat boosts conferred by accessories are little more than a slight buff to their already formidable bulk. However, Wobbuffet's bizarre defensive stat spread (190/58/58) is improved tremendously by the addition of almost 50% to each of its base defenses. Between this and the relative loss of immediate offensive power that comes from the opponent opting to use an accessory over LO or a choice item, Wobbuffet gains an enormous amount of staying power. Take, for example, the (arbitrarily selected) case of Wobbuffet vs. Starmie in standard:

252 SpA Life Orb Starmie Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Wobbuffet: 214-253 (41 - 48.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Wobb kills with Mirror Coat, yes, but it loses a quite significant chunk of its HP in the process and will not be able to operate at anywhere near full capacity moving forward. Now, let us look at the case of Cherish Ball Wobbuffet vs. Magnet Starmie:

252 SpA Magnet Starmie Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Cherish Ball Wobbuffet: 153-180 (29.3 - 34.5%) -- 5.3% chance to 3HKO

As can be seen, Wobbuffet is a significantly stronger tank under these conditions. When you consider that its defensive typing will also be much more potent, it seems clear that it will be a powerful force in this metagame.

xJownage brought up Silk Scarf Explosion Lead Azelf earlier but here's another set.
@ Magnet
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Psychic / Psyshock
- Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock / U-turn

New stats are 75 / 125 / 65 / 145 / 65 / 145. The key here is Electric doesn't add any weaknesses due to Levitate while granting STAB on Thunderbolt, resistances to Flying, Steel and Electric, and a much better Speed Tier (ties with Magnet Starmie). It competes some with Magnet Latios, the key here being momentum or Stealth Rock and a bit more Speed, plus if Black Belt is common on physical attackers, Psychic STAB gives it another edge.

@ Black Glasses
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse / Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Wave
- Will-O-Wisp / Taunt / Filler

New stats are 60 / 65 / 50 / 160 / 90 / 115. So it's slower than Magnet Gengar (aka Rotom 2.0), but it hits pretty hard and now only has a weakness to Fairy. The physical bulk drop is a let down, however, because now it really can't take physical hits period. 115 Speed is still good and STAB Dark Pulse can cause some headaches with that flinch chance. Poison is there to get coverage on the plethora of Fairies while Focus Blast pairs well with Dark or Ghost. Another thing to note is you can give it a Cherish Ball to become Ghost / Fairy, a pretty slick type combination. You lose 10 Speed and gain no Special Attack, but your bulk goes to 60 / 85 / 100. Nothing amazing, but it might help with a Sub+Disable/Wisp set and you can run Dazzling Gleam for STAB with Shadow Ball for good coverage.

@ Magnet
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power Fire
- Thunderbolt

New stats are 50 / 60 / 90 / 140 / 65 / 100 or 70 / 70 / 105 / 150 / 80 / 90. Another Magnet user! And how appropriate, too. The benefit of Magneton over Magnezone is the 100 Speed Tier versus 90 except that HP Fire robs you of 1 point, so it might not be as important to have extra Speed. Use them to trap slower Steels like Ferrothorn or anything else adding a Metal Coat. Heck, you can even trap Metal Coat Starmie which sits at the 105 speed Tier but will probably invest more in bulk than Speed.

@ Sharp Beak
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace
- Night Slash / Sucker Punch / idk

New stats are 35 / 100 / 45 / 50 / 65 / 150. Because Dugtrio is really a bird underground! As funny as it sounds, it's not a bad set. 150 Speed is just sickeningly good and 100 Attack is good enough for SE hits. Most Dugs ran Focus Sash anyway so it's not like you'll notice a power drop versus Choice Band. Also your Aerial Aces are stronger (but still pretty weak considering.) This should help trapping the inevitable rise of part-Electric Pokemon due to Magnet. Still won't kill Kyurem-B tho.

Eevee General am i cool enough now D:

This looks really good fun, can't wait til this is playable. A set I've thought of:

Dragonite @ Soft Sand
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Dragon Dance
Earthquake
Outrage
ExtremeSpeed

Now resists Stealth Rock, awesome 164 base Attack and decent 91/105/90 defences. Also gets good offensive typing.

Bronzong @ Cherish Ball
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake / Rock Slide
- Stealth Rock / Trick Room
- Toxic / Explosion / niche hp coverage / whatever you all know what bronzong does

bronzong has historically been a bad but annoying tank, now it could be pretty ok but annoying. fairy/steel with levitate is really obnoxious with respectable 67 / 141 / 141 bulk, gyro ball usually hits decently hard with a -spd nature and 0 or 1 ivs, the only real coverage it needs in eq or to a lesser extent rock slide, its a pretty cool looking pokemon, idfk how to sell this thing its still bronzong

in general i can see trick room teams being pretty decent for once, with the great types fairy and steel giving a lot of mons juicy stats for abusing trick room. i just wouldnt get too comfortable running fast and frail teams

Cofagrigus @ Mystic Water
Ability: Mummy
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split
- Haze

Has that dank Water/Ghost typing, and pretty great stats. On the defensive side, 58/145/135 is amazing, while offensively, 115 Special Attack isn't too bad. It's slower than ever now, but you've got bulk and Trick Room on more offensive sets.

Jolteon @ Never-Melt Ice
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Signal Beam
- Volt Switch

So, I heard you like BoltBeam. Anyway, this plays pretty similarly to Jolteon's all-out-attacker set in RU, except with more Speed, STAB on HP Ice, and 130 Special Attack.

Conkeldurr @ Poison Barb
Ability: Iron Fist/Guts
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Mach Punch
- Drain Punch
- Poison Jab
- Earthquake

Fighting is a pretty great offensive typing, with STAB Poison Jab backing it up to deal with Fairies. Earthquake is chosen over Knock Off to hit non-Levitating Poison-types, and Knock Off is less useful in a metagame where half of it are running items which can't be knocked off anyway.

A UU version I might add?

Tauros @ Charcoal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Ability: Sheer Force
Naive Nature
- Double Edge / Rock Climb
- Fire Blast
- Zen Headbutt
- Earthquake

Whike probably never seeing the light of day, Charcoal Tauros would definately be an interesting option, thanks to Sheer Force STAB boosted Fire Blast to dent Steels and physical walls. Its kinda sucks, but is still noteworthy or not.

Slowking @ Mystic Water
EVs: 252 HP / 80 SpA / 176 SpD
Ability: Regenerator
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Fire Blast / Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave / Dragon Tail

Special Pivot. Super Special pivot. Give me something that OHKO'es this with special attacks and you are King Of Everything. Seriously, this is actually better than standard Slowking, as it has Slack Off and Regenerator to not miss Leftovers, and seriously appreciates its new offensive presence and special bulk.

As usual I find the original list confusing to work with so I turned it into a table:
Code:
Item Type Atk Def SpA SpD Spe
Charcoal Fire +25 -5 +25 -5 0
Spell Tag Ghost +25 -5 +25 -5 0
Mystic Water Water 0 0 +20 +30 -10
Hard Stone Rock +20 +30 0 0 -10
Magnet Electric 0 -5 +20 -5 +30
Sharp Beak Flying +20 -5 0 -5 +30
Cherish Ball Fairy 0 +25 0 +25 -10
Metal Coat Steel 0 +25 0 +25 -10
Twisted Spoon Psychic 0 -10 +25 +10 +15
Silver Powder Bug +25 +10 0 -10 +15
Silk Scarf Normal +10 -10 +30 +10 0
Soft Sand Ground +30 +10 +10 -10 0
Miracle Seed Grass +15 +20 0 +15 -10
Poison Barb Poison +20 +15 0 +15 -10
Dragon Fang Dragon +20 -5 +20 -5 +10
Never Melt Ice Ice +20 -5 +20 -5 +10
Black Glasses Dark 0 -10 +30 +15 +5
Black Belt Fighting +30 +15 0 -10 +5
If you're not interested in the type but just which item gives the biggest bonus, then:
  • Atk: 30 (Soft Sand/Black Belt); 25 (Charcoal/Spell Tag/Silver Powder); 20 (5 items)
  • Def: 30 (Hard Stone); 25 (Cherish Ball/Metal Coat); 15 (Miracle Seed/Poison Barb/Black Belt)
  • SpA: 30 (Silk Scarf/Black Glasses); 25 (Charcoal/Spell Tag/Twisted Spoon); 20 (5 items)
  • SpD: 30 (Mystic Water); 25 (Cherish Ball/Metal Coat); 15 (Miracle Seed/Poison Barb/Black Glasses)
  • Spe: 30 (Magnet/Sharp Beak); 15 (Twisted Spoon/Silver Powder); 10 (Dragon Fang/Never Melt Ice)
I was wondering about forme changes because they tend to reset your type, but since we don't have to deal with Megas here, that just leaves Aegislash (Uber, and would probably want Metal Coat anyway), Meloetta (already considered above) and Castform, who wouldn't go amiss with a Silk Scarf anyway.
Noivern @ silk scarf

STAB boomburst. Nothing more, nothing less! :)
Far too slow; Chopin Alkaninoff always posts that first.
Code:
exports.BattleItems = {
    "blackbelt": {
        inherit: true,
What exactly are you inheriting?

And now for my attempts:

Azumarill @ Soft Sand
Ability: Sap Sipper
- Aqua Jet
- Bulldoze
- Waterfall
- Belly Drum / Ice Punch

100/80/90/70/70/40 No recovery but has more resistances so it might still work.

Weezing @ Black Glasses
Ability: Levitate
- Dark Pulse
- Sludge Bomb
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

65/90/110/115/85/65 but has to watch out for moldy EQs of course.

Cryogonal @ Magnet
Ability: Levitate
- Ice Beam / Freeze-Dry
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Hidden Power [Electric]

70/50/25/115/130/135 with STAB "bolt"beam but dies to priority.
