Wiki Article
So after about eight years, Capcom finally pulls its act together and announces that they're going to be releasing AA5 all around the world. Pulling the thread for that long pretty much guaranteed that fans would be extremely hyped about this, and I suppose I am one of them - with good reason too. Apollo Justice was the unofficial sequel to Trials and Tribulations, and as such, received a lot of criticism from the fanbase. Everyone wanted to see their favorite attorney making the objections, not some punk with bunny ear hair. Personally I enjoyed Apollo Justice, but it left me with a gaping hole of wanting more out of Phoenix Wright. It made me want to see him back in action, and as such, when I heard about the fact that this was becoming a reality...well you can just guess how excited I am.
Anyways, now to jump on the hype train and show you what's in store for the next installment of Ace Attorney 5:

Apparently Phoenix has a new assistant.
A Project Lead discusses a few things about the plot and characters.
Per the Youtube video, it looks like Phoenix has a few new tools up his sleeve. The music, per the second article discusses that it'll all be orchestrated music, so no more of the 16-64 bit stuff. And finally where the heck is Maya/Pearl/Iris/anyothergivencharacter originally in the franchise. One familiar face you will notice, is someone who looks like Winston Payne in the Youtube video. Apparently that's his brother, who is a lot more aggressive and villainous. The final thing of note is that Shu Takumi, the creator of the AA franchise is not directly involved in the creation of this game. He's busy right now with Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, which has also been confirmed for release only in Japan, thus far...(screw you Capcom)
So other than a few weird things tossed in here and there, I think there's a lot to look forward to in this game.
