Anyone here play World of Warcraft?

Time for the monthly update!

So, I pretty much decided a while ago that I'm maining Druid. He's 67 now, catching up to my also-67 Shaman! Going Feral for endgame. We got 2 more 70s, which includes Glalie. Making pretty decent progress all in all with the guild. Bunch more people in Outland or nearing it.

currently twinking myself out for the 49 bgs, yes i can afford it because i am an auction house hustler (2800g PLUS crusader'd kang at level 49 on your first toon? yea!!!!!)

only issue really is that i cant find any fucking good leggings dfiugbsdfh my friends arent quite high enough to run mara yet to get me elemental rockridge leggings and i dont feel like doing it with randoms and nobody on my server has any silvershine leggings

I've been playing for a while but actually haven't talked about it with many people on Smogon. I play a Troll (say anything about it and I'll ban you btw) rogue. I play with Origin and bassie (dunno if anyone remembers them) who are like WoW addicts on full vengeful and with Doomsday who is a lv 36 warrior in leather who turns with his keyboard and clicks to change stances.

guys who are good at pving: is kang the decapitator that much better than executioner's cleaver for the 49 bracket? i play a ret pally

i picked a kang up for 150g and i can resell it for 350g, but im considering keeping it, i dunno. the extra dps is nice and so is the bleeding, but im wondering how importan the +10 hit rating of cleaver is. they have roughly the same max damage so that doesnt really matter.

oh and also should i go for savagery, crusader, or fiery? i have heard that, while rare, it is possible for seal of command to proc off a fiery hit, which seems pretty cool
 
+10hit is kinda nice with slow weapons i guess, but i doubt it will make a big difference at that level. also i'd go with savagery or crusader. i dont know too much about ret pallies so im not sure which would benefit more
 
Executioner's is nice because Hit rating makes your damage a little more reliable and as a Paladin a slower weapon is better for SoC, but the DPS gain from Kang makes it marginally better probably. also Crusader
 
finally got my first kara key piece!!

man sl was pretty tough to tank, i felt undergeared and frankly a bit weak half the time :(

oh well i'm getting there

also shooting for 70 soon, 69 is a bitch level
 
It honestly had nothing to do with your tanking ability, that last level and some better gear would probably have helped... but I think you know the REAL problem
 
can you people give me some help regarding warriors? I am about to get the famed arms skill, Mortal Strike, and I was wondering if it will replace Heroic Strike as my main attacking move?
 
What he said, but yes it kinda does if you stay Arms. ;[ There's no reason you can't use both of them if you have Rage to burn, though.

Knowing Doomsday he'd want to stay arms just so he doesn't miss half the attacks because I'm 99% sure it'd frustrate him and he'd reroll a blood elf female holy priest or some shit

also arms would help more than fury to do the battleground dailies IF HE WASN'T TOO MUCH OF A GODDAMN PUSSY TO DO THEM
 
I dunno, just making the PvP dailies a little easier while leveling does seem to fully justify sacrificing a better leveling build :(
 
You didn't see the first part of my post did you

I -know- the dps ends up being the same whether you have a two hander or are dual wielding but missing half your attacks is quite frustrating and I know he'd either end up respeccing or rerolling, so

besides it's not like arms is all that bad for leveling, if he was leveling as prot then yes I'd laugh at him
 
I did see it, I was just commenting on the 2nd part. I leveled as Arms anyway so what the hell am I even talking about.

I did 60-70 as prot though, having a healer with you whenever you play and being a tank makes for stupidly easy leveling, lol at not needing to group to kill Durn the Hungerer etc
 
spec ideas for pvp for a 49 ret pally?

im bad with speccing ?_? i know i need enough in ret to get repentance, but beyond that im not sure

But no, 2handers are not the same dps as dual wielding. Dual wielding wins over time for every class that has the option and the only real reason 2 handers are useful at all is the burst potential(as well as being more effective with abilities like Mortal Strike) in pvp. Overtime, damage from 2 handers(and arms) is always going to blower than that of dual wielding(and fury) but there are a lot of situations. Mortal Strike is much better in pvp and fury is much better for pve - if you're leveling on a pvp Server I'd still probably go MS though, not having blood craze is kinda annoying but at least you snag second wind right after MS to give yourself at least some level of self healing.
