Better seeding and you aren’t leaving it until the last minute when you might not make it
e: since clarification was asked for- the #1 seed is the first qualifier in the first round, the #2 seed is the first qualifier of the second round, 3, 4, then the 5th seed is the second place qualifier of the first round, etc. etc.
