Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): i have played smogon on and off since 2020 but never really a long time, but this time im playing because i got friends that are playing too. At the moment im spamming all tournaments to find what I enjoy, have qualled for BLT and currently playing on FCL and RBYWC. As SV OU is the current main generation i would like to somewhat master it to a certain level. I think i click just fine but im lacking in meta knowledge as well as teambuilding in SV OU

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've been turned off by SV OU for a while watching from afar, what with tera shenanigans and all, but lately I've been really enjoying myself in this format and want to see myself improve; both in SV OU and at Pokemon in general. I mostly play National Dex lower tiers, but top level talent, tours, and ladder are all quite dead, leading to a lot of downtime where I'm unable to improve or play. I really love the skill expression found in battling and teambuilding with SV OU, it feels like a very rewarding format to be good at, so I would like to use it as a place to get as good as I can with battling.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): i'm a pretty casual player, im wanting to learn how to do better and make better plays etc, my biggest flop department is lack of team building skills, im a pretty mediocre builder/not confident in my own skill to make and pilot a team so i usually use teams i see in RMTS/forum posts/yt videos etc. the biggest struggle i have is sacking specific pokemon or what to do against different archetypes and how to overcome bad matchups

Hi, im wyrd. I started playing competitive pokemon nearly a year ago. In that time i have tried to do decently in ou, but ive always struggled getting past 1350. I have got top 5 gen 7 pure hackmons on ladder and top 100 in ag, as well as top 20 in a few oms of the month. I have played about 750 ou games (give or take 150).

Been feeling very bored in terms of how i can innovate on teams so I can push myself to go beyond top 50 spamming and just generally wanna see how the tutors are here. also i asked Praise The Salt a few weeks back and he said the tutors here are good so im feeling excited. planning to eventually get involved with tours even though they're all at like 3 am for some reason for me. think highest ever i got was top 17 but in terms of elo like 1925-1930, but usually ive been just hitting top 50/1890s or 1900s and just getting too lazy to reach higher.

I actually started playing competitive pokemon not too long along (I started with randbats back in june of last year, but played a bit of it on december 2023), I'm still looking forward to improving my play and teams. The highest I prolly ever gotten was 1550+ with a tealpon triple choice item bulky offense, but you would rarely ever see me at 1500+ or whatever. It's definitely too much tilt that ruins me.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): My main experience with showdown is on the national dex ladder, my peak is 1780 but my average is 1500 elo. When I spam hyper offense and offense on then gen 9 ou ladder and it grants me some wins but it doesn't feel like I'm learning anything, I'm trying to learn to play balance from advice I saw on Youtube to improve, but it feels like I'm going no where with constant loss after loss and would like to learn how I can improve

I got showdown to compete in a draft tournament on a server I'm part of and just got hooked, I made an OU team but it probably sucks. I genuinely am unsure how many matches I have played at this point but it is mostly OU or random.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): When I first found out about PS!, I kinda just played some casual random team whenever I was bored. At one point, I watched some tutorials and looked around the Smogon Dex and crafted an SV OU team. After tweaking it a bit with some feedback from people in the Discord server, I started playing SV OU and getting used to my team and the game in general. Life got a bit busy after that and I pretty much forgot about competitive Pokemon until yesterday. In some of my recent matches, I'm mainly struggling with not knowing common strategies and team builds, as well as realizing things I could have done turns ago. The reason I'm looking for a tutor is because from what I've found, there aren't really that many guides for new players beyond basic mechanics and team building.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): Started playing PS in 2021, but not seriously. During early SV, I fell in love with OU and have been playing it ever since. OU is my main format, but I also play a bunch of Ubers. In my time playing OU, I have been able to reach the 1900s multiple times, but I never decided to push any further. I am able to hold my own against tournament players (I have beaten some notable names in the past and also during this OLT), but I abviously cannot consistently beat them. I am aiming to archive some tournament success, but I believe that I have a lot to learn before that.

Seen a lot of people hit the top in a year and it makes me feel quite bad about my skill. Started playing OU again after a break of 2-3 months, dropped to1200s for the first time in a long time, so it finally made me get over my shyness and ask for tutoring.
