Arceus moves and rules out of date.

this brings up an interesting question-since you get it at level 100, will shoddy enforce that it can only have 100 evs in each stat? mayby you can only use more than 100 when you play with extended game clause...

It's releaseing at 12 tonight in japans time zone.
So we should at least look at what the uber game will need to do to make way for the god of all pokemon..
Testing should aslo take place within a few weeks.

for all of ya'lls information, you can put 108 EVs in every stat since you can EV train it 8 EVs and then give it 10 vitamins

But it's at Lv.100...Level 100s don't take any EVs, leaving vitamins as the only way to get them.

True but i suppose sence pokemon in shoddy can be taught moves they know before there caught. im sure EV's wont be restricted for time and making it easier to use him.
but in game i wonder if he is actually a very weak pokemon for this reason...

I have heard that if you train a lv 100 for 4 EVs and then put it in PC and take it out the stat would increase by 1. (even so, it is tedious... you have to do it for every 4 EVs/1 point ?)

Nah, that doesn't work for Level 100's: you can EV train Pokemon under Level 100, put them into the PC, and their stats will automatically adjust without the need to level them up, but it doesn't work for Level 100's, since they can't gain any more experience and thus can't get any EVs from battle either.

That's because Shoddy's level system is imperfect. This is not an intentional design decision.
You can teach a Pokemon a move learned before it was caught by going to the Move Relearner in DPPt. The imperfect part of the level system is that you can have Pokemon at levels too low for their evolutionary stage, like a Level 1 Clefable.

iirc, Can't you stone a lvl one clefairy?

Iirc you will always recieve cleffas which need a minimum of 1 level to evolve into clefairy, making clefables smallest level 2.

exp = EV's?

"Can you still EV-train when your Pokemon is at level 100?

Yes you can, but since the Pokemon can no longer level up, the stat will never increase due to EVs gained. How then, can one overcome this problem? The answer lies in the Box Trick. Suppose your Mewtwo gains 4 Speed EVs. To increase its Speed by 1, deposit Mewtwo in the PC, and withdraw it again. Its Speed will now be higher by 1 point. This is because the stats are recalculated each time you withdraw a Pokemon in the PC. However, this is a tedious process. You will have to repeat this procedure for every 4 EVs gained. As such, it is advisable to start EV training early so that you do not have to resort to this means to let your level 100 Pokemon gain stats."

From psypokes

It does not work at Lv. 100 anyway.

Has anyone tested if you can make the game recalc stats by putting a Pokemon in the GTS or via some other method (trading?)?

Just tested this in both Platinum and Diamond. Nope, it doesn't work (I even used the same Mewtwo example)

That means Arceus is going to be weaker than it could've been. Ah well, they could hardly make it possible to EV train an arceus since that would make it possibly unbeatable. Not even Jirachi could down it.
