Main Chapter 8: Molten Hatred
After repelling the attack on our ship, I took a short rest for a couple of days, my team absolutely exhausted from fixing the CPU core and in general making sure our ship doesn't explode. Soon though, we were ready to make an expedition to the island itself.
I had two options on which part of the island to scout out first. The first was what they called Tidefury Strand, a seemingly innocuous stretch of land near the eastern coast that had frequent thunderstorms that left as quickly as they came. I was a bit nervous about this one, as those that had gone before me reported nearly drowning in mammoth tidal waves and the fierce whale said to have caused them. The second option was the Windburn Gulch, a place towards the west that was much much warmer than the rest of the island. The scouts there had reported fearsome magma beasts, but I had fought a Heatran before, so I had some idea of what to expect.
Quickly deciding to explore the Gulch, I searched around the ship for a partner to take there. Thanks to my newfound reputation, many people had requested to go with me, but most (and all of them not members of the ASB league) had insufficient Pokemon for the job. Eventually, Harold came up to me again and we hatched a plan to go to the Windburn Gulch.
Strangely, part of this plan involved bringing loads of Grass types to a place filled to the brim with magma! I protested this seemingly maniacal scheme, but he told me that he talked to a few scouts who had seen ground types as well as fire types. Knowing our luck, he reasoned, it was likely that we would face a Groudon there, and thus water types would be a bad idea. I continued arguing for a few minutes, but seeing that I was getting nowhere, I grudgingly went along with it.
After packing my bags and Pokemon, I headed to the Windburn Gulch.
Inviting Dogfish44 to Windburn Gulch (HM).
Let's get that last bit of reputation and then we'll head off to the shrine!

This invitation is still legit. I still want to do this. I have a bunch of potentially suitable Pokémon for this...I am feeling ballsy...
Open Invitation to Tidefury Strand (Hard Mode).
I can supply four of Eelektross/Rotom/Sunflora/Ludicolo/Mollux/Exeggutor/(Other Pokémon) if there is anything to go by. If you are not prone to DQ, think you have a good set of four for this raid, & you are interested, contact me, & we can work something out...
<Proceeds to wait as the invitation ends up idling for months>
Here we go again Dogfish44!
