Does the new rule about not talking about banning things for now also apply to talking about unbanning things?
Of course not. Community consensus is a large part of unbanning anything. Unbans happen as a result of discussion, not on a whim by a tier leader.

Irrelevant. Both topics assume a metagame that has lasted more than a week (and much longer than that even). Don't misinform people of the rules, please.

Any word on when PO will be fully updated with BW2? My Ferrothorn should be able to have Stealth Rock, Leech Seed, and spikes at the same time, but I can't.

And I feel like noting again: This isn't a PC+ thread, don't post shit if you aren't positive about your answer or contribution
Edit: Looks much better

My question: How does Reflect Type work against a Color Change Pokémon or a Poké that has used Conversion (or Conversion variants)?

What is the default ranking in PS? I mean if you just create an account and have 0 wins, 0 losses, and 0 ties, what would your rating be?

@above: they're all released but Smogon has not been updated to B\W2 yet. Anyway, chances are that sould dew will be banned immediately.

About the actual B/W2 games; did I pick up correctly that there is a 'challenge mode'? If so, what does this do? Harder difficulty setting? Or is it just another word for the Battle Tower/Frontier?

By beating the Champion in Black 2 you unlock the Challenge key, this allows the activation of Challenge mode which has a higher enemy Trainer AI, higher average levels and even in some cases extra pokemon.

Great to hear, I've always wanted a higher difficulty setting for pokemon (nuzlocke aside). Does this delete your previous save or has GF finally added more save files? Or is it some kind of new game plus where your previous pokemon are saved?

Except Keldeo's new Forme. Be careful- what looks like normal Keldeo can still have Secret Sword.

I don't understand why Keldeo having Secret Sword without being in resolution form is an issue. It could know Secret Sword in BW1 before resolution form existed. The only issue would be if it was used alongside things that can only exist in BW2 like the therians.

Edit: Actually, running it with BW2 stuff doesn't sound like it would be that big of an issue, since I don't think it would transform if you taught it the move in BW1 and traded it to BW2.

It doesn't delete you save, there aren't more save files, and there isn't any new game plus feature. Basically, in the game you get it, it allows you to switch the difficulty of the post-game content. However, it can be traded between games, so it also lets you play games on any other BW2 cartridges you have in Challenge Mode from the start.

There's a lot of talk about lightning rod Zapdos. Has it been released? If so, where can I obtain one?

No it hasn't been released. I believe the reasons there's been so much talk about it is that Zapdos got access to the Heat Wave tutor again so it now can have Heat Wave with Lightningrod and that Zapdos is now one of the few things different between Dreamworld and OU.

Hi everyone. I have a question and was referred here, I'll just quote my original post:
Hello there Smogon community, this is my first post and thread and am new here. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to competitive Pokemon battling, my last real Pokemon battle was when Pokemon Blue and Red first came out, sweeping my friends team with my Charizard, I was the best out of all my friends back then, but that was Generation 1. Now I see a lot has changed with natures, items, EV training and whatnot. Anyways I was challenged to a battle using Pokemon online using specific pokemon and a specific ruleset and I need all the help i can get! Here are the rules of the challenge:

Me and my opponent can only choose from these pokemon:

•Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam
•Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu
•Eevee, Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Umbreon, Espeon, Glaceon, Leafeon
•Riolu, Lucario
•Treeko, Grovyle, Sceptile
•Mudkip, Mashtomp, Swampert
•Frillish, Jellicent
•Shuppet, Bannette
•Deino, Zweilous, Hyredigon
•Sawk
•Miltank

Rules:

•You may battle each other via Pokémon Black/White or through Pokémon Online (I'll use Pokemon Online)
•Winner is the best 2 out of 3. After each battle, you guys can stop to rearrange your team and/or switch Pokémon. (Should I have 3 teams to throw him off?)
•Pokémon clause is in effect (no more than 1 of a Pokémon with the same Pokédex entry on the same team) though you may use the same Pokémon of the same species (you can have a team of Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Espeon, Glaceon, and Leafeon for example).
•Sleep, Evasion, OHKO, and Hax clauses are in effect.
•No cheating/hacking

Sleep Clause:
Only one Pokémon on each team may be inflicted with enemy-induced sleep at a given time.

Hax Items Clause: Items that increase the rate of Critical Hits are prohibited (Focus Band, King's Rock, Lucky Punch, Quick Claw, Scope Len, Stick, Soul Dew, Razor Claw, and Razor Fang) Note: You can still use items that increase your evasion!

Moves:
All moves that increase Evasion only (Double Team, Minimize) are prohibited. Note: You can still use items that increase your evasion!
All instant OHKO moves (Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, Sheer Cold) are prohibited.
All moves that decrease Accuracy (Sand Attack, etc) are prohibited

What are some general strategies for this challenge? What is the best possible team, nature, stats, items to be held and moveset out of these Pokemon? My opponent must choose these same Pokemon and play by the same rules so I need to counter it somehow Any advice would be greatly apprieciated

Hi everyone. I have a question and was referred here, I'll just quote my original post:
Lucario, Sceptile, Swampert, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Espeon, Jellicent, Hydreigon, and Alakazam are your best choices. I would use Hydreigon/Jellicent/Jolteon/Swampert/Lucario/Alakazam Sets would be LO Hydreigon, Defensive Jellicent, Specs Jolteon, CB Swampert, SD Lucario, and Substitute + 3 Attacks Alakazam @ LO.

Hi everyone. I have a question and was referred here, I'll just quote my original post:

I can give you a more in depth guide later, but right off the bat I can tell you that Hyredigon and Lucario are going to dominate. Dragon is only resisted by the aforementioned Lucario, and nothing really threatens a LO Extremespeed Lucario except Focus Sash Alakazam, Sawk, and faster Hydregion/ Lucario. So, you're definitely going to want both of those on your team. I'd go with ScarfDregion to OHKO his Dragon and revenge his Lucario. With those two gone, you can fire off Draco Meteors basically unhindered. I'd also run a standard SD Lucario, who can dominate once Sawk's sturdy or Alakazams sash is broken. Next, I'd take Miltank or Swampert (probably Swampert; Miltank is a free switch for Fighting Types) to set up Stealth Rocks which let you break Sturdy or Focus Sashes while netting some residual damage for your main sweepers.

Build your team around those three. Besides that, everything else seems usable except for Banette, Pikachu, Flareon, Raichu, and probably Umbreon. The other Eeveeloutions or Jellicent are probably good choices. Good luck, and PM me if you have questions.

Obviously use Alakazam as a special attacker with choice item. Hydreigon and lucario are must haves for the same reason that others have mentioned. Make sure to have the miltank with heal bell for suppot for the rest of your team. Throw swampert in there so you have another physical attacker as well as some defensive. Then for your final pokemon I would use Jellicent. Without jellicent the team would be very vulnerable to fighting types, in this list of pokemon that mostly means lucario and sawk. Jellicent will also allow you to take any water damage as you should be using water absorb.

Hi everyone. I have a question and was referred here, I'll just quote my original post:

I could be wrong, but I don't see anything on that list that really counters Prankster Riolu which just got released through Dream Radar in Japan. If you can manage to get that chain started, the only priority out there is Lucario and Pikachu/Raichu's Extreme Speed (and Lucario's Bullet Punch), Banette's Sucker Punch and Shadow Sneak, and the Eeveelutions, Pikachu/Raichu, and Sceptile's Quick Attack. Lucario's the only one you really have to worry about in all likelihood, so if you can manage to get that chain going there's not really anything that can stop it.

I'm not sure this is the best strategy, but you might want to keep it in mind.

Has Swinub been released in Cool Hole only in B/W 2? I just ask because there's absolutely no mention of it at all on Serebii, and I've seen proof of a DW Swinub here.

Does anyone know if female Simple Woobats have been found in the Hidden Hollows? I thought it was, but when I tried to play around with Simple Stored Power Swoobat in NU on Showdown it told me Stored Power (a breeding move) is illegal with Simple.

I don't think there are any Woobats at all in Hidden Hollows.
