can someone please help me with an EV spread for this MixZard a friend bred? I used to have a spread in mind (Munje gave me it), but I forgot to write it down, and he forgot as well. Please, if you can help me, either pm me or post or something! Thanks in advance =)

Hidden Power Electric 70

~ Dragon Dance
~ Outrage
~ Hidden Power Electric 70
~ Fire Blast / Earthquake

Wow, just wow... Another fantastic breed by Xonmeän, who was nice enough to simply ask for a project (BFF's fosho!). And so here is my greatest idea yet: MixZard! Mild nature so Hidden Power Electric gets extra juice against those Bulky waters that are bound to come in and expect to wall you. Plus, you'll surprise many Blissey switch ins when you Dragon Dance, then your opponent switches out to a quick bulky (physical counter) water type, then you nail them with HP Electric! Outrage is there for the Dragon Switch ins which are bound to happen, hoping Charizard is limited to only moves that are neutral to them at best. Fire Blast for the extra power because of the Mild nature, which will literally tear all kinds of shit up, especially if Charizard's ability Blaze is in effect. Earthquake is also an option if you'ld rather prefer a more physical move for the last slot to take more advantage of Dragon Dance.

Here's Munje Synopsis on this MixZard

Quote:
Intended Moveset: Dragon Dance, Outrage, Earthquake, Overheat/Hidden Power Electric 70

Quote:
The basic idea of this is deadly...The ev spread on this is special; with it you can outspeed everything except electrode, ninjask, and deoxys-speed, with just one, yep just one dragon dance. With full evs in special attack this will be truly mixed, then the rest in attack so you will give fucking powerful blows after one or more dragon dances. Earthquake is there for such common enimies, such as heatran and most electric types which would normally blow the shit out of you with thunderbolt or in heatran's case, hidden power electric. Outrage are for those nasty dragons or basically any pokemon in general since this is a advantage with a tiny dragon dance. Now for the last spot...Probally the most imporant spot, you can either put overheat, since you have no other special attack moves, fuck it and lets use this powerful attack which is 210 after stab, you can blow away scizor and forretress like nothing, not to mention that prick skarmory, even if they switch in anything with flash fire such as ninetails and heatran with one dragon dance they will be outspeed and OHKO'd with earthquake. You can alternatly switch overheat with hidden power electric which is the best hidden power choice in charizards case, you can just slaughter on your water counters such as suicune, milotic and aerodactyl. I really recommend a rapid spinner if you're using this on your team because stealth rock does nearly 50% damage to charizards hit points, pokemon like this are the key to the game, if you lose this it is possible to lose the game, even if you have to sacrifice a pokemon do so unless it is more important in your opinon. Damage calculations commin soon....
From the descriptions this is what I got

116 Atk/252 SpA/140 Spd

I need a little help here.
I want to know what if the safest way to nickname a pokemon that it is not your OT (safe as in it won't make your poke hacked).
Should I just change my OT using pokesav and rename and go with the name rater? or is there an AR code that will let me do it without changing my OT? If I change my OT, is it safe to go back to my old OT with the same save file or should I keep a copy of the old one?

Just a thought I had when looking at some speed tier spread, is there any validity to running a gyarados as follows:

gyarados w/leftovers
Jolly
210Hp/132Atk/168Spe
-taunt/bite
-dragon dance
-waterfall
-earthquake

the point being that with a jolly nature and the evs listed, it hits 264 speed before a dragon dance, and after one it outspeeds all +nature 252 speed base 130 pokes. it has the same attack as the standard bulkydos but takes hits a little worse. bite could be considered over taunt so as to surprise starmie if it tries to switch in and threaten dos who just dances on the switchin. Damage: 77.39% - 91.19% to 0Hp Starmie which comes close to koing with rocks if maximum damage hits , but considerably less to the 172Hp analysis spread. if the starmie is orbed there is the chance of it killing itself when you switch out. just a thought

I managed to find this thread I thought was lost in the forum purge about that:
http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31847

If you read through it you should find your answer. There are also a few posts by Raikou in that thread, who probably knows best. I'm pretty sure changing your OT, using the name rater, and changing it back is safe enough. The only problem I have with this method is that it would allow you to nickname even event pokemon such a MYSTRY mew, TRU mananphy etc. which were never meant to be nicknameable.

Yes, Jolly Gyarados is perfectly viable. Starmie beats most Gyarados so it really isn't much of an issue.

When both parents have a 31 in a stat, how much higher do the odds get of the offspring getting a 31 in that stat
Read this:

Part 3 explains the probabilities of getting the IVs you want for every combination of the parent's IVs.

Thanks a lot :D that must have been very difficult to find since the thread is so old. I'm gonna give it a good read to be sure I'm doing it the safe way.

How do we get the link to the Damage calculator applet? I need one please!

does teleport work in trainer battles? (0r does Shoddy still have errors, and that's why it fails?)

Nasty Plot set from the Analysis
~ Nasty Plot
~ Hidden Power Fighting / Focus Blast
~ Shadow Ball / Dark Pulse
~ Vacuum Wave / Hidden Power Flying
16 HP / 252 SpA / 240 Spe
I'd just use this except use Cross Chop over HP Fighting/Focus Blast.

I remember trying ingame a while back, and failed, so no.

teleport doesn't work in trainer battles, it only lets you run away from a wild encounter or go to the last pokemon centre you used outside of battle.

I named my Jirachi that way. No one's bitched about it yet, and since I did not use Pokesav, it will still pass a hack test.

In Emerald, I accidentally fudged my EVs on my Ludicolo and added extra HP EVs by beating up accidental MArills while Sp. Atk training.

Well, I wiped those EVs by giving him a few Pomeg berries and was wondering something.

If I reinvest the EVs into his Special Defense (which is missing some thanks to the misplaced HP EVs screwing me up) by battling a few lotads/lombres, will I have to level him up to get those EVs factored into his stats?

He's already level 50 and I want him to be used in lv50 matches. Does putting him into the PC and taking him out work?

Yes, it should.

Is this Tar hacked? I found it on Wi-Fi GTS, and it has all stats flawless and it's max eved in HP and Att and 4 EV's in Spe.
dpmfa248.png

Lv. 100
Nature: Adamant
Characteristic: Mischievous
Apparently met at Lv. 6
OT: Derek (csed is the guy's name who traded this)
ID No.: 18139
PokéBall: Dark Ball

Stats:
HP: 404
Att: 403
Def: 256
Sp. Att: 203
Sp. Def: 236
Spe: 159

And if I breed with it, will the babies be considered as hacked, when this one passes IV's?

How does Shedinja get Swords Dance?

Evolve it at the exact same level that Ninjask would learn Sword Dance, the resulting Shedinja will have the same moves as the Ninjask at the moment it evolves.
That is the reason that Shedinja can only have one of the Ninjask exclusive moves at the same time (Swords dance, Baton Pass or Agility I think)

I named my Jirachi that way. No one's bitched about it yet, and since I did not use Pokesav, it will still pass a hack test.
Can you give me the code to change my OT? I have not been able to find it googling yet.
