Does anyone know my question:

For the PBR test, will it effect differently for pokemon that have been touched with the ar (like codes and pokesav that is legitimate) and pokemon that have actually been hacked?

Whats a good hidden power for Heatran and why? I was thinking of Hidden Power Grass or Electric, but I'm not very sure.

I wouldn't say I'm that experienced, but I'd suggest HP Grass, mainly because Swampert usually shrugs off anything from Heatran, and Grass gives coverage against Ground (which resists HP Electric). Plus I'm not sure how often Flying-types would switch in on Heatran. Hope this helps. :D

A set calls for 44 HP EV's w/ 31 IV's so it can sub 3 times and activate torrent

How will I need to adjust with 20 hp iv's?
You'll need your HP to be divisible by 4. Presumably, said pokemon is level 100 and does not carry leftovers. This is probably what the analysis assumes so keep in mind that if this is not how you intend to use it you'll need to adjust things.

44 HP EVs + 31 IVs --> +42 to HP --> HP without IVs+EVs is 2 off of being divisible by four.

That 2 plus your 20 IVs gives 22. So you need an amount of EVs equal to raise it by 2+4x, meaning the number of EVs you want is:

8 + 16k

(Where k is any integer number you want.)

The closest to the original EV investment suggested is k=2, or 40. Next up would be 56. Below that would be 24. Adjust however you feel necessary.

Fortunately, I've been preparing to play through a Japanese version of Pokemon Diamond. The Turtwig, Starly, and Shinx that I transferred to my US version of Diamond for training retained only their Japanese name and their Japanese OT. Moves, Abilities, Natures, all of those were English.

Entertainingly enough, when the pokemon evolved, their names transformed into English (probably because I went with the default name, heh.)

Now, I assume the TMs / items will revert to their English name upon transfer but I'll admit I haven't tried it, yet.

Thanks for the info. ;)

Distant land is an event Raikou you should probably check the OT on it. And Hoenn is possible if a person traded a Raikou from Fire Red or Leaf Green onto Ruby, Sapphire, onto D/P.

No, Pokemon that were caught in FR/LG will say it came from Kanto, even if they were transfered to D/P via R/S/E.

Thanks for the info. ;)
You're welcome. Coincidentally enough, tonight I moved those pokemon back over to my Japanese Diamond with Torterra holding one of my EXP Shares. The item's name is in Japanese in that game, so things are definitely nice and simple as they should be. :)

So what happened with Competitor? I haven't been to this site for awhile and i haven't heard anything.

I'd ask on shoddy, but questions like that will get you banned.

I seem to have a problem with Darkrai and Shaymin Rebattle codes. I have already battled them once and have them in my PC box, however when I activate the code for the second time (PokeMart way etc.) and head back to their areas they arent there....any ideas?

Competitor was put on hold due to other circumstances. For now we're all using Shoddybattle.

Update on Everyone's Pokemon Ranch: expected North America date is now May 19: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WiiWare_games

Only seeing is believing that's what I usually say.

Using that code won't make them re-appear. That code just enables their event, meaning it only lets you catch them once.

When transfering pokemon from my Emerald to Pearl pal park, does the pokeball they were in change? (master ball etc for example)

No, it does not. I've checked and verified that my Emerald legendaries are all still in their Ultra Balls, save for the Latis which are in Master Balls. (Suicune is in a... Net Ball, I think.)

Ok! New here and this is my first post!

Question: When EV training, can u use the bait tactic. (e.g. I send out my level 9 bagon against an alakazam to get special attack EV's then switch to my gengar to kill it, do they both get EV's? or just gengar?)

They both do. This is the #1 way to take advantage of Macho Brace and the various Power items.

Here's the simple rule of thumb: he gets the EVs when he gets the EXP, no exceptions.

-Stayed in and finished the pokemon off? Gets EVs.
-Switched out and let somebody else take care of things? Gets EVs.
-Gained EXP from an EXP Share? Gets EVs.
-Levels up 5 times from one KO? Only got EXP one time so only got EVs one time.

Hopefully thinking of it that way helps? :)
