No, the assistant explicitly gave me a number (43) higher than what my Sinnoh Dex had (41), which was something I did not expect. I still have my notes from then (I was explicitly noting where I saw each pokemon so that in future play-throughs I would know which optional battles not to skip.) I recorded both these numbers, was confused that the number he (the assistant) gave was higher, and then realized that he had also counted:

-the Tropius that was being used as that game's HM Slave.
-the Swinubs that had been temporarily traded over so that I could train that guy's team in my main game.

Easiest way to get BP is to gamble when the gambler wants you to go through the Battle Pike.
 
After 12 hours of breeding I have finally produced this chansey:

Natural cure
Quiet
21|15|31|29|31|21

So should I keep it or do you think it is worth SRing for better IVs? The Hp isn't as high as it could be, but SpA, SpD and Def are ideal.
 
is there a thread about how the rng works in d/p? if so link if not would it be alright to ask this in the main part of stark mountin?
 
Here is a thread about how the Emerald RNG worked it explains a little about D/P and FR/LG too.
About D/P it says: "DP seeds when you load your game. The seed is based on how long you are in the menu and the current real ds time."
I'm pretty sure that without the help of a debugger and really good timing (maybe it counts the time in milliseconds or seconds or minutes, it doesn't say) you won't be able to put that knowledge to any use.
 
Does Transform copy stat boosts from something that is not an actual 'boost' (Scarf, Marvel Scale, etc.)? Pretty sure it does but just wanted to make sure.

If you Transform into something with a Choice Band, and gain its CB boosted Attk, and have your own CB, do they stack?

And just because I'm wondering, when you Transform into something that has, say, +1 in Spd from Dragon Dance, when you copy their Speed does it count as their current Speed is now your speed, or their original Speed is now your speed and you get a boost?
 
Infernapes too, though they take quite a dent from Leaf Storm/Sludge Bomb.

If U-Turn misses or is blocked somehow, you will not switch out.
 
if ur trying to breed 2 pokemon and the guy says they show no interest in each other, does that mean theres no way to breed the pokemon?

If the message is something like "they prefer to play with other Pokemon", they wouldn't be; otherwise, they are compatible.
 
Do Egg Moves get passed down from a Male if it is being bred with a Ditto? I always thought it didn't happen but I was breeding a Bastiodon with a Ditto, and all of the Shieldon came out having Body Slam and Curse.
