My Garchomp has a 31 Spe IV, and 252 Spe EVs, with a Jolly nature.

Is it at all possible for a Celebi to outspeed it?

let's look at this situation open-eyed and actually do something about the problem rather than ask everyone about it. now, celebi's base speed is 100. garchomp's is 102. therefore, if garchomp's speed and celebi's speed are both maxed, garchomp's will still be higher. this means that there are 5 ways for celebi to outspeed garchomp.

1. celebi is holding a choice scarf, multiplying its speed by 1.5 and putting it higher than garchomp's.
2. celebi is holding a quick claw, negating base stats and allowing celebi to move first.
3. celebi has been passed a speed boost by an ally pokemon.
4. garchomp has been paralysed, effectively dividing his speed by 4
5. garchomp's speed has been lowered by a move such as icy wind.

so yes, technically, celebi can outspeed garchomp if garchomp has a 31 speed iv, 252 evs, and a jolly nature.

Hey, I'm trying to work out a "diffferent" feeling starter for my OU team... I know that's though without seeing it in full, but I wanted to ask your opinions. Do you think either of these could work as a lead? I know they both have "standard" lead sets, but I want something (anything) that's out of the norm.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Impish
Avalanch
Stone Edge
Mirror Coat
Stealth Rock

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Bold
Rest
Sleep Talk
Dark Pulse
Calm Mind

What do ya think? I'm open to any suggestons...

Both pokemon make great leads, Spiritomb can stop lead Gengars and Azelfs, and abosorb sleep thanks to SleepTalk. Swampert sets up SR early game, which DP is all about SR, so I would be more inclined to Swampert, though I would recommend running something like this;

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 42 Atk
Nature:
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rocks
- Avalanche / Stone Edge / HP Electric
- Waterfall

If you clone a Pokémon, is it considered as a hack? Multiple times I've had a Pokémon with great IVs and nature, and since many tournaments have a Lvl. 50 rule instead of Open Level, I wanted to clone said Pokémon that I get so that I can have one at Lvl. 50 and one at Lvl. 100.

Cloning is not hacking if cloning is all you do to the pokemon and it was legit to start with.

Hey guys! I just got an incredible Heracross on the GTS:

Heracross - #214 (Naïve)
HP: 30
Att: 30
Def: 30
SpA: 30
SpD: 29 - 30
Speed: 30
The nature isn't bad, the only negative thing about it, is that it doesn't have the Guts ability, it's got Swarm (boosts bug attacks when at 1/3:d HP). The question I have for you guys is which EV spread/moveset I should use for it. I saw the Sub-Salac set, it might be worth a shot. Thanks in advance.

It's pretty good, normally that would make a good sub-salac, or a Defensive CB Heracross, going something like 72 Atk /200 Def / 236 Spd, meant for things like Mamoswine and Weavile, thanks to it's resistances to Ground and Ice, but either one is ok.

Which has more raw power:

Heracross (Guts) Burned

Heracross (Guts) Choice Band

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heracross (Guts) Burned + 1 SD
Heracross (Guts) Choice Band Sleeping
MoPcross is a very worthwhile set to use. and he's not hitting any special speed numbers, so 31 speed isn't important, and a point in attack aint gonna do much difference. as a bonus, he has a 30 in hp, which means you don't have to invest anything. but 6 way 30's. that seems kinda supsicious. I mean, you did get it off the gts and everything.
edit: @ kabuto mushi
in the first scenario they have the same power. in the second, sd has more power.
Yeah, I know it's kinda suspicious, it was "apparently met at Pokémon League" aswell, is that even possible?
A MoPCross? That sounds interesting, how does it work? Does anyone have the moveset/EV spread for it?
Espeon is personally one of my favorite Baton Passers, and I feel that there is room for Espeon on just about any team. I am also a fan of Vaporeon. Ninjask is also good. Zapdos and Jolteon aren't bad either for Agility, though you may not have access to Baton Pass on Zapdos or HP Ice/Grs on Jolteon.
It depends on what you're passing to what Pokemon. It's good to pass Agility to a sweeper so that it outspeeds virtually anything, and pass whatever stat booster needed. For example, Ninjask to Weavile is a very good choice, in my opinion, especially if Ninjask can get in a Swords Dance.
I've been having trouble w/ yamegga leads, that run Bug Buzz/Air slash/hypnosis/protect. Besides bronzong is there any other lead pokemon who counter this beast well?
What is a way to choose what type of lead to use? I know what some other people use sometimes, but how do I know what is best for me?
It would have to depend on the team you are using, ususally Intimidaters or Sleep Talkers are good.
Is the RNG in Leafgreen/Firered any better or equally as good as Emerald or not?
I like LG/FR storyline, but it's an opinion, like the rest will be
Special Defensive Zapdos lead should be able to do it, it's a good lead too.
mmmm, too lazy to quote, but aside from zapdos, resttalk gyara does the trick, though I dunno about him as a lead. if they run bug buzz/airslash/hypnosis/protect, resttalk heatran does the trick as well. but, um, rather than have a yanmega countering lead, why not have a lead that can deal with all the suicide leads and then switch to a yanmega counter if you are up against a yanmega? the last thing you wanna do is give double screen deo or sr azelf a few free turns.
If use Choice Band Beat Up, will the 15 Base Power Apply only to first pokemon that used it or to all the pokemon. Alsow will the items that the other pokemon affect the power of the Attack such as Life Orb?
