Anyone know how exactly to get the option to record your wifi battles in Platinum? I just had a battle and I didnt get a prompt asking me or anything to do it. Anyone have an idea?
 
I have the battle recorder, I've already recorded one battle at the frontier. and Yes i do have open slots available for a battle.

I got a couple questions about things I think are glitches on shoddy, so this is kind of a question for wifiers. When you use U-turn and the opposing poke, who is slower, uses pursuit which will OHKO, shouldn't u-turn damage the opposing pokemon before pursuit OHKO's it? On shoddy u-turn doesn't do any damage. Also, when explosion is used and the opponent switches first to a pokemon who dies to SR/spikes/etc. damage coming in, shouldn't explosion still faint the user? On shoddy it stays alive

For your first question, yes. In battle it goes something like this,

Azelf used U-turn! Azelf returned to Chill!
It's super effective! (t-tar takes damage)
Tyranitar used pursuit!
It's super effective!
Azelf fainted!

If u-turn isn't doing any damage it's a mistake.
 
I just got my platinum today and when i go to the building with the people inside who give you mystery gift, theres a clown blocking my way. I've only beaten the first gym so do i need the national dex or something to go into that building?
 
I may have asked this before, but how do you see how many wifi battles you've won/lost. When I turn over my trainer card, it only shows link battles.

You need to beat the Galactic Grunts in the north of Jubilife before you can go in there.

Syberia said pursuit hits first, hmm I wish I could test this to confirm but no wifi ?_?, maybe someone can to make sure and then I'm not sure who to tell from there if there is in fact an error...
 
My Question: Can you Overtrain EVs? As in, once I reach 255 speed EV's, if I train on more "speed giving" pokemon, do I loose from the other 255 EV's that haven't yet been distributed?

if that is an unclear question I'm sorry. Also, Can anyone confirm that the power item held gives those specific EV's no matter what type of EV the pokemon you are fighting would give (eg. My Poke holds the Attack Power item, faints a Poke that gives one speed EV...Does my poke gain one speed EV and then 4 Attack EV's?
