I recommend you to beat the game and then get the Mystery Gift function activated (Serebii.net explains how IIRC) because Nintendo is going to be giving away the Member Pass card to get darkrai through Wi-Fi. I got the Secret Key in the same way but they stopped its distribution until next year I think.

It may be that you have horrible luck, or that one of the pokemon you're using to breed may originate from a different language-based game. I think that using 3rd generation pokemon in D/P will also negate Everstone's chance of passing on natures, but I'm not entirely sure.

Actually, this is incorrect. When an opposing pokemon is switching and you use Pursuit, Pursuit's base power becomes 80, and so will not receive the Technician boost.

So if they stay in, it has 60 (40 x 1.5) BP.
If they switch, it has 80 BP.

I would say Naive. Try and get at least 25+ in Atk, SpA and Spe. Depends if you want it for personal use or for trading.

Does Dig and Dive double the base Power of Earthquake and Surf in 2v2 against all targets?

Ie: If your Politoad used Dive, while your Suicune used Surf (2v2), does Surf deal double the normal damage against your foes because at least 1 target used Dive?

I recommend this strategy if it is the case because Pokemon with Levitate (Flygon), or Water Absorb (Politoad), could potentially double their teammate's base power while taking no damage, or even recovering 25% of their life, AND hide from their opponents as if they used Protect (if they are faster).

Trade from someone or keep breeding. There is another way but that way, well from my opinion isn't good. I actually look down upon it.

Not really, there isn't any item that increases the chance of getting a female and some species have fucked up gender ratios like that.
The only thing that can make it easier is once you get a female egg you keep SRing until you get what you want so you only need to get one female instead of hundreds.
