@ Lorak: I would think Modest would be better if you want to switch between Origin and Another Form since Giratina has a better special attack movepool and it gets Calm Mind so it can power itself up. Its only noteworthy physical attacks I guess would really be just Outrage and Shadow Force (which isn't worth using).

Another option could be Bold since you could try for one of those 252 hp/252 def/ 6 sp atk or speed Calm Mind things like Suicune.

@ ViVi: I would say 525 (Timid) or 478 (Modest) with Choice Scarf. I think 525 is more common since most Scarf Gengars want to outspeed max speed Deoxys-S.

Anyways, I also have a question of my own lol. I know this was probably answered a while ago but can the new Rotom forms and Giratina Origin Form be used on Wifi?

  • Jolly Flygon with Fire Punch
  • Modest Togekiss
  • Relaxed Forretress
  • Jolly/Timid/Rash Infernape with HP Ice 70
  • Naughty Mamoswine

I dont know about the rotom's but O-Tina can be used on wifi, however it must be olding a special item so it can't hold something else (lefties, scarf ect ect.)

I would say that it wouldn't be actually legit, but there are people who would accept it. I am personally not one of them, but.

My own question: Would these IVs be viable for a Regice, using the Impish-natured set listed here for DP? Or would this Regice be ineffective?

If somebody cheats but isn't caught, is it still cheating? I have never understood the argument you're trying to use. The strict definition of "legit" in Pokemon tends to state that it must be obtained in the way Nintendo intended, and if you start your breeding line with hacked Pokemon, you've already crossed that line.

Well that depends on how much you value your immortal soul, doesn't it? Seriously, if a cheat is undectectable, then it's legit. That means that legitly hatched pokes with hacked parents are completely legit, just don't go telling people the parents are hacked.

its not too bad...but i prefer more spatk...but someone would probably love it for trick room

For the record, Special Attack would have been irrelevant on the set I was considering with these IVs >.> Avalanche is physical.

How do you breed 4 IVs?
I read the Smogon Breeding Article but they don't tell you specifically how to breed 4 IVs or maybe I'm just too dumb to figure it out...or too lazy :)

Thing is, I was considering the Choice Band set mentioned on Orig-ina's page, and figured something like that could be used for Anot-ina.
 
I need a replacement for Crobat ( cuz of the shaky acc of Hypnosis ).

The Pokemon doesnt have to have a sleeping move. It just should be used like the Lead Crobat in the analysis ( Hypnosis / U-Turn / Taunt / AA )

I guess if you want to go with that then Adamant would be a viable choice but like I said before, Giratina doesn't have many good physical moves. And I believe there are better choices for using CB on in ubers. I don't think CB Giratina will really be much of a threat compared to other Choiced ubers. If you want to use the CB set then yea, Adamant would be a good choice. You could also go with Jolly to boost that crappy uber speed, but then you make its less than impressive offense (in ubers) even crappier lol.

Again, if someone can answer my question on whether or not the new Rotom forms can be used on Wifi, that would be great.

Butterfree and Venomoth can do Sleep Powder + U-Turn. (Butterfree's CompoundEyes gives Sleep Powder 97% accuracy)

Persian and Purugly can do Fake Out + Hypnosis + U-Turn.

However, nothing works exactly like the lead Crobat does. Either use one of these compromises or change your lead style.
 
How do you get Selfdestruct on Snorlax, I've looked at the 3rd gen pokedex and he can't learn it through the tutors or leveling up?
 
Well I won't be able to get that then, unless I cheat to put the move on a male snorlax and then just breed it down, that could work right?

iirc Crobat is the only one who can learn Hypnosis/U-Turn and Taunt.

Azelf is a possible replacement, being a levitator and knowing taunt and U-Turn. Gliscor also has access to this combination, although if you're considering for a lead, you're better off running Azelf, with Explosion/Psychic or Stealth rock.
 
You can have two parents that have 2 31's but in different stats such as one parent having 31's in both attack and defense while the other parent has 2 31's in both special attack and special defense then you just keep breeding until one of the offspring has all of those 31's passed on to it. Or another way you could do this would be to just let some of the stats randomize themselves with the RNG and then continue breeding with that newly produced parent.

I decided to go with this, just for my own purposes. Running Thunder, Hidden Power, Shadow Ball, and Trick, with Choice Specs on a rain team. How should I EV this? Max Sp.Atk, I would suppose...
