Why isn't there analysis in the strategy pokedex for the Rotom appliances or Shaymin Sky Forme or even Giratina Origin Forme. It would certainly help those interested in these effective OU and Uber pokemon.

Not sure, but check the anaylysis forums, I think they have stuff there.

Anyway, my question is can the flower and original regis be unlocked in a US version of plat using japanese event shaymin/regigigas?

Ok. So I'm thinking through an Electric monotype team, and I'm looking over Ampharos. I looked at the "Why Ampharos doesn't have Wool" set, and Focus Blast and Focus Punch are both rather unappealing for me. I was wondering; As one of the few Pokemon that learns Power Gem, I was wondering if there would be anything that would be cause trouble for it if I ran Power Gem and Hidden Power Ground instead of Focus move and HP Grass or Ice. I suppose that this question would also apply for the Specs set.

EDIT: A couple of Pokes have occured to me, but I want to see if there is anything I've missed.

You can find them here; chaos just hasn't put them on site.

Yes.

You lose coverage on ground and grass types by switching hidden power. Focus Punch/Blast seemed primarily for Normal types (and Tyranitar), so if you're unconcerned about them you can just sacrifice that for Power Gem and use Hidden Power Ice. What is Power Gem for anyways? STAB Thunderbolt will hit anything neutral harder than Power Gem or HP do for super effective.

Well, if I ever have trouble with T-Tar and Grass types, I can throw out Sub and add Signal Beam.

The reason I'm asking about Ground primarily is that I recently recieved Wichu's Pichu, which has HP Ice as a Given, and I was thinking Grass Knot. So I'm trying to diversify a tad, and I figured that the Pokemon that are listed as concerns for Hidden Power in the analysis either are SE from HP Ground (Nidos, Lanturn), Neutral Damage from Hidden Power Ground (Quagsire, Gastrodon [although I think I'd be switching out rather than facing STAB Earthquakes] Venusaur, Vileplume), or SE from Power Gem (Altaria). Does that effect your suggestions, or are they unaffected?

Thanks for your input.

EDIT: You make a compelling point. I just was thinking about it. I don't exactly know what I'd use it for, now that you mention it. I was thinking added coverage.

EDIT2: Perhaps if I was running Discharge instead? SE HP/PG would hit 20 power harder than Discharge.

Ah, the diversity issue makes sense (didn't occur to me despite being a monoteam). HP Ground would be a good option for those half poisions you mentioned that resist electric (hits Lanturn and other electrics too), but will have little use beyond that (Bastiodon?).

Just want to make sure of something.

Let's say I equip my Riolu with a EXP Share and my Azelf KOs a Magikarp. Does my Riolu also get the 1 SPE EV even though it never appeared in battle?

I know he isn't the god incarnate like some other Azelfs on Smogon, but do you consider my Azelf at least decent as a NP Sweeper?

25/X/18/26/17/31

Timid natured.

Great nature, enough speed and sp. attack to be a decent NP sweeper. All that matters now are the EVs.

Is there a way of calculating my SID in emerald using a normal randomly caught shiny?
Emloop has a SID calculator. Or you can manually try it by hand using X-Act's guide on shinies. Either way, you need the Shiny's PID and your trainer ID

How do you gain access to the wifi floor in the poke center? I do not want to play through most of my pearl, that'd take too long XD .

This is a stupid question but why are Latias+Scizor used so much together? I just want to know the reason...Thanks

Shahirahira, it's quite simple. Think about what stops Scizor -- Zapdos and Heatran. Latias resists their STAB moves and can get a fairly easy switch in. Now, what stops Latias? Tyranitar in particular stops Latias, and Scizor can take Tyranitar out with Bullet Punch/SuperPower/U-turn easily. Plus, Scizor and Latias have good type synergy together, with Scizor resisting Latias' Dragon, Ice, Dark, Bug, and Ghost weaks, and Latias resisting Scizor's Fire weak.

Oh, that makes sense. Thanks Bloo!

Aside from Zapdos, is there anything you can think of (in OU, I suppose) that uses special fire/electric/grass attacks and is fairly fast?

I doubt it. >.>

I can't be sure, but I think it's after you beat Roark. But that's just a wild hunch swimming around inside of me. I really can't tell you for sure. XD

Starmie comes to mind using Thunderbolt, Grass Knot, and Hidden Power Fire.
You can use some weird mix Sceptile with Thunderpunch, Hidden Power Fire, and your choice of grass attack. XD
Infernape with fire move, Grass Knot, Thunderpunch?
Azelf with Thunderbolt, Grass Knot, and Flamethrower?
Gengar/Mismagius/Lati@s with Thunderbolt, Energy Ball, and HP Fire?
Manectric with electric move, HP Grass, Overheat/Flamethrower?
Raichu lol?
Electivire with similar? Am I getting to slow Pokemon now? XD

Really, Hidden Power gives you a lot of Pokemon choices. XD

Yeah, it was, thanks.
