Anyone know of a good bracketmaker?

I'm aware of tim's and Mekkah's, but tim's doesn't work for me sadly, and Mekkah's is a tad too complicated for me to use for... my specific purpose.

thanks for any help

...

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 64 SpA / 192 Spe
Hasty / Naive
~ U-Turn
~ Close Combat
~ Stone Edge
~ Overheat

That is physical MixApe.

Also, NP's Fire Blast > OHKO on Salamence.

If anyone here knows anything about the RNG abuse stuff then you can help me with this:

I've gotten a delay of 643 once at 36 seconds, 5:40 p.m. May 12th. My question is to get a delay of 645 would I hit continue at 37 seconds?

Okay, long question, because I have difficulty explaining myself clearly.

On the GTS in Platinum, is there any reason I can't see all the requirements that people are requesting? For example, there is this Honchkrow I needed, and it was asking for a Magnezone. It just says "Magnezone". Nothing else. I evolve a Magneton and try to offer it, but it's grayed out. This happens for like 3 other different Pokemon, such as a Victreebel for something that I forget. I finally get tired and get on Pearl and try there. It turns out, the whole requirements are >level 70 Magnezone and level 100 Victreebel, but Platinum failed to show me this, and instead only put "Male Victreebel." I was wondering why this happens (grawr so annoying).

Another thing I noticed: The first time on the GTS, only 3 results would show. But after testing a trade with a Yanma of mine for a Magikarp to see if my GTS was funky, my results starting showing up at 5. I have a hunch if I do another trade, it'll go up to 7, but it's been difficult finding a decent one as people are asking rarities for stupid things (made even more difficult by unseen level restrictions). Do you suppose that once I get 7 results to show, my next trade will reveal the level restrictions? I think this is stupid, but I don't even know if it's right. HALP.

I told you I was wordy.

I really could use this answered. >_>

Okay, so it seems Manaphy is uber now, so is there any thinking of Uber to OU tests? Ho-oh and Deoxys-S are the only ones I see happening, but those are stretches right there.

I'm guessing we won't have a suspect for a while, and when we do it'll be OU to Uber.

I think you were mistaken in how things happened. Focus Punch works like this:

1. Priority charge. The charge up phase goes before everything else.
2. The enemy makes a move.
3. Focus Punch attacks (if focus was not lost) at the end of the turn, counting as a move for the turns executed above.

The next turn is just a normal turn. I don't know how it works on Shoddy, but that's how it is in in-game.

Well that makes sense that breloom went first. But another game I charged up when the other guy protected, but it failed of course. Then I should've gone next, but he got to attack first and break my focus. Why did that happen?

What is Philis? Or Philis[tine]? One guy was talking about it being some sort of gimmick set similar to FEAR, but can someone clear this up for me?

Say your pokemon is holding a choice item. You go first, use your move and get locked into it. The other pokemon uses trick and switches your choice item for an identical choice item; however they go second. Since you technically have a new item, are you allowed to choose another move?

The failed part is part of the first turn, it doesn't continue onto the second. The charging up part was part of the second turn, and when he attacked you, you lost focus.

Think about it this way. You get 2 "moves" in 1 turn, but one of those moves is charging up. It doesn't carry over.

Is there a good DV calculator somewhere? I need it for my Blue version.

And preferably a different one than the Geocities one from LegendaryDogs or whatever his name is.

Also, what's a good check/counter for Yache/ScarfChomp? (Smashboard tourney, they allow Garchomp).

I have been told to much about Platinum:Here is my question

When is the first time you can trade in Platinum? Sandgem is the first town with a Pokecenter right? So Can I trade as soon as I start the game? '
or is it true you need the Coal Badge?? I am NOT asking about gts, I'm talking about TRADING IN A POKEMON CENTER. I want to start Platinum off with a Cyndaquil and a Totodile, and im sure you can get national pkmn right? But I want to know

when is the first time you are allowed to trade? Right away, I'm hoping. Thanks. also PMing me too would help

The first time you can trade is when you get to Sandgem iirc

You don't get pokemon outside the DPP pokedex like cyndaquil and totodile until you get the national pokedex, after you beat the e-four.

And now I have a question. Is there any reason besides heatran that standard mixmence carries earthquake over roost? I mean, he's got two 120 base power stab dragon attacks, and 120 base power move to hit those that resist steels. I'd rather have a way to heal off life orb and stealth rock damage than hit one pokemon.

Draco Meteor is 140 base power :)

But anyway, earthquake is Salamence's only attack without drawbacks. Draco meteor lowers your special attack, outrage locks you in, fire blast has low accuracy/pp. When you just need any attack to finish something off, earthquake can fill the void.

Also, there are situations where you want earthquake to ease prediction. Your opponent has a Suicune and a Jirachi on the bench. What move do you pick? Without earthquake, you're just guessing.

But try out roost and see if you like it better by all means.

Bringing this up again...

Which type of router security does the DS' Wi-Fi work with?

I'm planning to get a DS and Platinum soon, but I wanted to make sure I can go online on it.

For the record my security is WEP (Think it is anyway, it's the one with letters and words on it).

Cheers in advance.

NDS is compatible with the WEP security, however, Nintendo made a list of some routers which are surely compatible with their products. Perhaps this page may help you.

It better be WEP and if not you better be able to make it WEP because that's exactly what the DS uses. I had to change my router's security from WPA when I found that out. >_<

Hmm. I may be mistaken, but the downstairs Pokemon Center is closed until after obtaining the Oreburgh Badge. I think.
Not quite. It's closed until you reach Oreburgh's Pokemon Center.

As soon as you get the Pokedex. And you CAN trade in non-sinnoh-dex Pokemon pre-e4.

Nintendo screwed up the GTS in this game, it's as simple as that.

CrAZyMONkeYZ, you might want to read the OP again, specifically this rule:
7. This is already in the Smogon and Stark forum rules, but I will reiterate again do not discuss ROMs or other illegal things. Also, don't ask for AR codes here. Use google for that.
All I can say is keep searching. :(
