Okay, long question, because I have difficulty explaining myself clearly.
On the GTS in Platinum, is there any reason I can't see all the requirements that people are requesting? For example, there is this Honchkrow I needed, and it was asking for a Magnezone. It just says "Magnezone". Nothing else. I evolve a Magneton and try to offer it, but it's grayed out. This happens for like 3 other different Pokemon, such as a Victreebel for something that I forget. I finally get tired and get on Pearl and try there. It turns out, the whole requirements are >level 70 Magnezone and level 100 Victreebel, but Platinum failed to show me this, and instead only put "Male Victreebel." I was wondering why this happens (grawr so annoying).
Another thing I noticed: The first time on the GTS, only 3 results would show. But after testing a trade with a Yanma of mine for a Magikarp to see if my GTS was funky, my results starting showing up at 5. I have a hunch if I do another trade, it'll go up to 7, but it's been difficult finding a decent one as people are asking rarities for stupid things (made even more difficult by unseen level restrictions). Do you suppose that once I get 7 results to show, my next trade will reveal the level restrictions? I think this is stupid, but I don't even know if it's right. HALP.
I told you I was wordy.
I think you were mistaken in how things happened. Focus Punch works like this:
1. Priority charge. The charge up phase goes before everything else.
2. The enemy makes a move.
3. Focus Punch attacks (if focus was not lost) at the end of the turn, counting as a move for the turns executed above.
The next turn is just a normal turn. I don't know how it works on Shoddy, but that's how it is in in-game.
The failed part is part of the first turn, it doesn't continue onto the second. The charging up part was part of the second turn, and when he attacked you, you lost focus.Well that makes sense that breloom went first. But another game I charged up when the other guy protected, but it failed of course. Then I should've gone next, but he got to attack first and break my focus. Why did that happen?
Is there a good DV calculator somewhere? I need it for my Blue version.
And preferably a different one than the Geocities one from LegendaryDogs or whatever his name is.
The first time you can trade is when you get to Sandgem iircpleaseoh please o PLEEEEASE PEOPLE.
I have been told to much about Platinum:Here is my question
When is the first time you can trade in Platinum? Sandgem is the first town with a Pokecenter right? So Can I trade as soon as I start the game? '

when is the first time you are allowed to trade? Right away, I'm hoping. Thanks. also PMing me too would help

Anyone know of a good bracketmaker?
I'm aware of tim's and Mekkah's, but tim's doesn't work for me sadly, and Mekkah's is a tad too complicated for me to use for... my specific purpose.
thanks for any help
I really could use this answered. >_>
Which type of router security does the DS' Wi-Fi work with?
I'm planning to get a DS and Platinum soon, but I wanted to make sure I can go online on it.
For the record my security is WEP (Think it is anyway, it's the one with letters and words on it).
Cheers in advance.
It better be WEP and if not you better be able to make it WEP because that's exactly what the DS uses. I had to change my router's security from WPA when I found that out. >_<Which type of router security does the DS' Wi-Fi work with?

Not quite. It's closed until you reach Oreburgh's Pokemon Center.Hmm. I may be mistaken, but the downstairs Pokemon Center is closed until after obtaining the Oreburgh Badge. I think.
As soon as you get the Pokedex. And you CAN trade in non-sinnoh-dex Pokemon pre-e4.pleaseoh please o PLEEEEASE PEOPLE.

Nintendo screwed up the GTS in this game, it's as simple as that.I really could use this answered. >_>
All I can say is keep searching. :(7. This is already in the Smogon and Stark forum rules, but I will reiterate again do not discuss ROMs or other illegal things. Also, don't ask for AR codes here. Use google for that.
