Dunno if someone had already answered you, but you should use the Pokéradar on Route 210 (that one before Celestic, with the fog). I think it's at the North area.
 
In the Battle Tower and in Link battles, you get everything back after each battle. However, if you Natural Gifted or Flinged something outside of those areas, it is gone unless you Recycle.
 
Does the following scenario violate the sleep clause?

One of the opposing Pokemon use Hypnosis, your Pokemon falls asleep.
You send out a Snorlax and Rest for no apparent reason.

2. You can just deposit your Pokemon in GTS storage (ask for something preposterous, like a level 9 or lower Dialga), and when you take it out several hours later, it will evolve.

If Trick is used on wifi or in an in-game battle outside of the Battle Tower, do I lose the item that I tricked and keep the item I took, or do I keep the original item?

It's catchable. After you beat the Champ and get the National Dex, go to Sailor Eldritch's house (it's open) and there's this little kid being tormented in his sleep by Darkrai (who isn't really involved.) Go to Eldritch and he'll take you to Fullmoon Island. Cressalia's there, you see her and then she runs away and you can catch her in wild (like Mesprit.). She's at level 50.

wifi you keep the original, ingame you lose the one you Tricked and keep the one you took.
