Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, I'm a little confused, but is it against the rules to use teams people post in RMT? I have no idea where to start with my own so can I use someone else's or is that cheating?

In my copy of Diamond it sets the level of Pokemon to 50.

No cheating at all. I'm pretty sure no one would mind you using their team unless you start saying that you came up with it.

It's perfectly fine to as some people like to see actually why some teams are so good (myself included).

Edit: Next time I don't leave tabs open like 10 minutes... -_-

1. So is there ANY competitive moveset for Mawile? I really really really wanna use this pokemon, so even if there isn't, can someone help me make the best set possible?

2. Would Icy Wind ever be a good move choice on a pokemon? Like on Gardevoir?

I heard you have better odds of getting a shiny egg if you breed pokemon with different language versions, so I thought I'd give that a try. But then I remembered readind somewhere that in diamond and pearl if you breed a japanese pokemon with an american pokemon the everstone doesn't work.

Is that right?

Does it work if you do it that way in Platinum?

Probably a simple answers but if Ditto manages to get Stat boosts from baton passes before it transforms will it keep them after it has transformed?

So for example if a Baton Pass 4+ Defence and then transform into a Deoxys will i now have a deoxys with 4+ Defence?

Also when ditto transforms does it gain the Stats of the Opponent as well as its Sprite and Moves?

I believe it would keep those boosts, but I'm not sure; mabye try in the research thread. It copies all stats besides hp. Mew is a far superior transformer in ubers than Ditto.

Smeargle is a superior transformer as well. Transform copies all stats (and boosts) besides HP, so I guess you would lose the previous +4 defense, but I'm not sure.

Hi, (new account, long time smogonier, not saying which though xD)
and is it just me,
or has Sword Dance Scizor been seeing some more usage?
I have seen a lot of RMT's with it in them.

Graves, I presume...

Anyway, swords dance scizor is beastly but the one I've seen more is the choice band U-turn scizor.

Will there be an analysis of Gizamimi Pichu?

After all, it can't evolve and gets a special move (Pain Split).

Would this count it as different enough to get an analysis?

which hp would be considered more useful on a magnezone:

Modest
hp Ice or Hp Fire

Naive
Hp fire or hp fire
oops

It depends on your team. If you already have a pokemon to take care of what's weak to HP Ice, use HP Fire, and vice versa. Same with both natures, but after looking at max Hidden Power IVs, Ice would work better with Naive than Fire.

thanks, fixed. However, I need more of a generalized answer.

hp fire takes care of the bastard scizor and skarmory but you have t-bolt anyway.

hp ice takes care of dragons.

hp grass (out of nowhere) takes care of swampert.

I gots a EV train question, if your lead Poke gets sent out against a Poke it does not attack, but a team kills(in singles not doubles) does it still gain evs?

Why do pokemon suddenly go UBER?

Garchomp wasn't uber until the "pokemon experts" got mad that he could sweep their team... Shouldn't real players be able to adapt?

The pokemon experts never got mad. It was banished to Ubers because it was proven to be broken. It also over centralized the metagame, making it harder to build teams that could counter the top threats. If the pokemon experts got mad, then how come they were the ones who decided to have the suspect process in the first place?

P.S. What do you mean by real players?

Pokemon are uber (or OU) after they recieve extensive play testing in the Suspect metagame, which is a separate version of the OU metagame. After several weeks of testing, qualified participants get to vote for the tiering status of the Pokemon in the Policy Review forums.

As for Garchomp, he may not be uber anymore. A private voting poll just took place and in a few days, it will be revealed whether he (as well as Manaphy, Latios, Latias, and Shaymin-Sky) will stay Uber or join OU.

They could, but it is a lot less fun for everyone's team to basically revolve around setting up their Garchomp and stopping their opponent's garchomp. Pokemon is a game that was meant to have variety in teams, and having something as powerful as Garchomp takes away that variety and ultimately makes the game less fun.
