I'm using a sleep talk toxi-staller as a way to absorb status, then inflict some of my own, but I have no idea what I could use alongside her!

I assume this is a UU stall team? Chansey works well alongside Milotic because Milotic can generally handle the special threats that can can set up on Chansey (not so sure about the new Np Mismagnius, you'll have to run some calcs on that!) by using haze to remove their stat boosts. Roserade is another pokemon who works well alongside Milotic because she can easily switch in on the Electric and Grass attacks that Milotic hates so much.

Since you didn't post whether its an OU or UU team here's what you can do if its OU

I really think a defensive Celebi can fit in quite well as it resists Milotic's weaknesses. Here's the set:

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/220 Def/36 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Recover
- Reflect/Leech seed
- Hidden Power [Fire]
---
Grass Knot is for some assurance against Tyranitar, and Scizor is fired with HP fire. As these two are physical threats with deadly STABs(and they both often carry Choice Bands) they can be trouble for Milotic. Reflect is there to help Milotic's mediocre defense or you could use Leech Seed to chip away at the opponent with Leech seed/Toxic and entry hazards you'd want to place.

Celebi is also another of my favorites--the team should be totally OU, except for Milotic, who I believe will become the next suspect eventualy... However, the team is also meant to be ingame/wifi, so my chances of getting Celebi until HG and SS are slim! Any other suggestions? At one point I was thinking of having a Milotic, Blissey, Cresselia, Forretress wall lineup with two sweepers!

I can't connect to the friggin' Smogon server on Shoddy. It says "An error occurred while attempting to connect to the server: Connection timed out: connect"

every time I try. what should I do?

NVM. Managed to connect after about 20 minutes

I have alot of questions about EV training.
I've read a bunch of different threads about it, but still dont understand it completely. I've been trying to train my Dragonite in the Speed stat. I battled like 50 Staravia's and pikachu's in the Trophy garden. My dragonite is level 30, and when he leveled up he didnt gain much in the speed stat. Are EV's hidden in the game? Is there anyway I can see them?? Does the pokemon need to level up in order for the EV traning to take effect??

Yes, not really, yes (EVs take effect gradually as the Pokemon levels up, only reaching their full effect at Level 100).

Is there a easy way to do this? What's a good level to start training? Going to level 100 on a ton of pokemon just seems exausting.

In Wifi battles, they have an auto-level feature that automatically calibrates your pokemon's stats as though it were level 100.

I tend to find the easiest place to level up is the Elite 4 (especially when you get past level 50-60, you can gain about two-levels a run) or the grassy areas to the west of Battle Tower, using the VS Seeker.

is the advanced pokedex search tool in marriland updated with the HGSS additions? it's a bit hard to distinguish the new moves for pokemon here in smogon

Okay everybody, I don't have any time on my hands, so I need y'all to help me pick pokemon for my stall team! Keep in mind, this is an ingame team, so special events and movesets aren't at all usable... My Shiny Milotic is the centerpiece of this team and her set as well as membership will be a given...

Milotic @ Leftovers
Evs: 252 HP/240 Defense/16 Special Defense
Calm Nature
- Surf
- Toxic
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Alright, keep in mind that I prefer UU and NU pokemon but this stall team will be in a primarily UU environment... Sets and spreads aren't needed, so much as I just need you to pick five pokemon that'l naturally work well this Milotic and with each other...

Here is the pool of pokemon I intend on playing from--thank you in advance...

Bolded pokemon are those that I just plain like...

If it's UU stall, then Roserade makes a great Spiker. Altaria also provides a secondary check to Blaziken, so I'd use those two.

unfortunately in the standard metagame its not really about using favorites and Pokemon which look cool. Its really about strategy and making the right choices, if you want to make a team for just plain old fun, then certianly use any Pokemon, outclassed or standard, but if its for serious compeitive play, then I suggest you try out standard Pokemon made for defensive play. Lucario, PorygonZ are just not right for Stall when there are much better options. So I suggest using more standard Pokemon and not outclassed ones.

Leafeon has excellent Defense. Maybe its HP isnt the best but it can stall the foes by putting them to Sleep with Grasswhistle.

Can someone just answer the question?
