I'm gonna rephrase my hacking question. I have finished the National Dex, except for the event legendaries. If I get the Pokemon from a friend with an AR who used the "this Pokemon is the only one to appear in the wild", and get the event items for Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus, will it mess up my game?

Have it lead with a Power Item and Pokerus. Have your party completely full and give the other five Pokemon Experience Shares (you can get more from trades/the lottery). Beyond that, fight the weakest Pokemon you can.
 
How do you get Pokerus on your Pokemon

Alright, I have just been reading up alot of information about EV training, I finally get how it works (Just started Playing). What I want to ask is, how do you get the Pokerus Virus, and is there a way to get it fast without cheating?

You know how in 4th Gen you can walk enough steps to get the daycare man to have an egg, save the game before you pick it up, pick it up to confirm it has the right nature/gender/ability/shinyness and then SR for IVs?

Can you do this in R/S?

I want to breed a good TR Snorlax and trade it to my XD, and I've already got R/S but I don't want to have to buy Emerald for one stupid snorlax. :/

All I want to do is get good parents to produce a brave/sassy egg and then SR for good IVs. Don't know if it works the same way though.
 
In platinum, are Giratina's Nature and IV set in stone the first time you encounter it, or will they reset if you knock him out and catch him later in game?

As far as I know this doesn't work in Ruby or Sapphire, only in Emerald and the games implemented thereafter. You should ask this in the Emerald RNG abuse thread in Evergrande

Pretty sure they'll reset, you should probably ask this in the RNG Research thread.
 
people on these boards keep using tems like 'pokesav' and save states and such
how is thios exactly? Using VBA / No$GBA emulators? What's the point in that? Is there any way to transfer in between emulated games and real ones? Otherwise what is pokesav?

first off what tier does the world cup use?

when building a team do all pokes have to be the same tier?

and when useing an action replay quick experience boost to train pokes does that ruin all of the ev training that you've done?

I believe they create their own tier, not realted to Smogon's system.

No, though you cannot use higher-tiered Pokemon in lower tiers.

Iirc, no, though discussion of AR codes and their mechanics is typically looked down upon.

I'm not a great competitive battler, in fact I rarely do it and I'm not a great fan... As such and before I knew about EV's I leveled up my Azelf, a MODEST one to level 100!

I heard about the box trick and I went to Bulbapedia investigate though there they say it doesn't work anymore with lv 100 pokemon because in generations II and III these pokemon cannot gain EV's...

So... Can I remove Azelf it's EV's and remake it or should I stay quiet and leave it be?!
 
Modest isn't even that good of a Nature for Azelf. You want Naive or Timid or Jolly.

Besides, you cannot fully EV a Pokemon after it reaches Level 100, since you can only use Vitamins and Vitamins are limited to only 100 EVs per stat.
