To get teh special Palkia, Dialgia, or Giratina you need to import from Pearl that special event Arceus released in November and bring it to the Ruins of Alph.

The Jirachi was given away @ Gamestop and that event ended on the 14th. The fastest way to transfer pokemon is w/ a second DS and simply to trade them over of course.

Run Adamant even with Ice Punch?
Ice Punch only serves to get the surprise KO on neutral speed Gliscor and Salamence, but it's almost entirely useless now that both Gliscor and Salamence are running positive speed nature. Just go with either Crunch or Stone Edge for Lucario instead.

i also wanted to know if flygon is that good of a pokemon to me its attack stat just doesnt seem that good its speed isnt really anything to brag about either, even with a choice scarf and outrage it just doesnt seem that gewd to me. but since i never bothered to breed one before i guess i cant really tell. so before i spend hours findin breedin and levelin one can any of youz give me your opinion on the gon that flies?

Did you read the strategy pokedex article about Flygon:

http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/flygon

I've never used Flygon. From what I've read its key advantage over Mence and Nite is being resistant to SR rather than weak. Levitate means it keeps the ground immunity, and it gets STAB on Earthquake.
Flygon tends to be used as a Scarfer, often with U-turn, making good use of the best offensive typing (dragon) along with its SR resistance to adopt a hit-and-run style that Salamence cannot do without Wish support.
If Garchomp is allowed (VGC or Battle Frontier) it arguably outclasses Flygon in many roles.

If you just look at it's stats, you find that it's completely outclassed by Salamence but it makes up for it somewhat with its typing and movepool. Skarmory, Levitate Bronzong, and Shedinja are the only Pokemon that resist its STABs and they can all be taken care of with Fire Blast. Flygon is also the only OU Dragon that resists Stealth Rock and its Levitate makes it immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes so it can switch-in much more often than Salamence. It's also immune to Electric attacks, particularly Thunder Wave which would completely cripple Salamence, which gives it even more chances to switch in. It's also the only Dragon that get U-turn which is useful to scout for the opponent's counter and can give frail Pokemon like Infernape a free switch-in.

SteveBob:

Heal Block has no additional effect when used multiple times at once. Heal Block's effect reads, in part, "During effect, if a move or an effect of a move (other than Pain Split) would cause the opponent to gain HP, it gains no HP instead." Thus, only effects of moves like Leech Seed and Wish, as well as moves that recover HP, are blocked by Heal Block. Effects of abilities such as Rain Dish ignore the effect of Heal Block.

Thanks ^_^

Ynad:

I would also like to add that just like all other wild Pokemon, the "red Gyarados" has the same 32-bit trainer ID as the player's 32-bit ID. Because of how shiny Pokemon are generated, its personality value is highly related to its 32-bit trainer ID.

Where is the icepunch move tutor in platinum?

Route 212.

If you don't recognise that route, it's south of Hearthome City and east of Pastoria.

I have a question about Destiny Bond. The description on this site says "If the user faints before their next move". Is this actually the move or the turn though? For example if I use Destiny Bond and then get put to sleep and killed before I get another chance to attack will Destiny Bond still take effect or will it only work if it's used the move before I get KO'd?

I wanted to ask what the benefits of RNGing your ID/SID are?

Also can someone post a link to the thread about RNGing your ID/SID I can't remember where I found it last time =/

SteveBob:

My description for Destiny Bond reads, "Until user's next turn, if an attack by an opposing Pokémon causes the user to faint, that opposing Pokémon also faints if that Pokémon is still active." The effect ends when the user takes its next turn. This is true even if the user is asleep during that turn.

Cool, thanks once more ^_^

are the capture rates still 3 for Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres, Raikou/Entei/Suicune, Ho-Oh/Lugia, and Mewtwo?

this may be sheer luck, but I caught Articuno, Moltres, and Ho-Oh with my first Dusk Ball when they were at around 5% and asleep, so I'm suspecting that catching legends got easier.

You're not alone, I had the exact same thing happen to me, the only legends that were challenging to catch were Lugia, Suicune, and Mewtwo.

Lugia is impossible to catch. 1-5hp+paralyzed+dusk ball = takes 35 to catch it.

Do the legendary dogs reset at the burned tower if you defeat them + beat E4?
