As I recall, if it is the only poke you have that has a HM move then you can't release it.
Don't think you can release traded pokemon. Never tried, though.
I released a zubat he gave me, so it is possible to release traded pokemon.
Oh gotta check to see if it has any HM moves later (I'm on emerald right now).

Anyway, what is the actual percentage of damage inflicted by burn each turn?
If I don't have fire punch for marowak, how much damage would fire blast do on bronzong and skarmory? Or should I just stick with brick break? (I'm going for the baton passed set)
Adamant fire punch thick club 48%-47%
Adamant fire blast thick club 36%-43%
Both on skarmory with standard spread.Since bronzong is usualy special defense based with sassy and not relaxed then again fire punch wins.If it's brick break vs. fire blast I'd say fire blast but the accuracy makes it quite iffy.As you can see though fire punch helps alot.
Moves, nature(I think), all stats but hp(which would include IVs) not sure about EVs though.
Let's say I have a special Houndoom on my team to take care of skarmory, should I use brick break on marowak? I don't think I have any other possible counters to bronzong as of now.
Of course, I may end up breeding marowak in emerald if I learn how, but as of now I have the parents ready in diamond, so I just need to know for now.
Use brick break if you don't have anything else to give him I guess.
Does anyone know of a reliable hack-tester on these forums(not Raikou, he's busy)?
Does Magic Guard prevent Liquid Ooze damage? And, how does Sucker Punch work with Future Sight/Doom Desire?

yes Claydol can be a reliable Tank. Lack of a recovery move and weakness to crunch and pursuit hurt him however. SpinnerTank IMO is the best you can use him for with a good defensive trait in levitate which prevents him from getting any damage whatsoever from spikes and toxic spikes plsu resistacne to stealth rock means he is a pretty good option to use.
