With a Reflect up and Multiscale, a Scrafty's unboosted Ice Punch only did 38 damage to my standard bulky DDNite (I was at 159/198 HP after the attack). Does anyone know what set it was running, EV-wise (Like, Careful BU with no Attack EV's, or Jolly DD with max Attack)?

Assuming you were at LV50 and had 0 Defense EVs, my calculations place the Scrafty's Attack somewhere between 121 - 138. Scrafty's neutral nature Attack at LV50 ranges from 95 - 142, so it seems closest to the max Attack DD build. Not sure why it wouldn't have the full 142 Attack with that build, but it's possible I was off by a couple of points from running the formula backwards, and if you had a few Defense EVs, that would also explain it.

Also, BU Scrafty shouldn't be running Ice Punch anyway.

Thanks, and that makes sense, as I don't think BU ever runs Ice Punch anyway. I had asked because 35-40 damage from a 4x Super-effective move seemed odd to me, even when behind Reflect with MS intact.

Edit: Slow typing means I get ninja'd by edits

If you think of it like this, Ice Punch only has 75 base power. It's 4x super effective, but you had Multi-Scale and a Reflect, meaning Dragonite was hit only by a 75 base power move. With its natural defenses, the amount of damage it took makes sense.

Got a big question I need answering;

I've got two female Aipom, each are jolly w/ Fake Out. The IV's are as followed:

Aipom #2
22 - 31 - 14 - 24 - 28 - 30
Aipom #3
6 - 31 - 24 - 24 - 30 - 30

#3 looks to be a solid keeper but I don't like the IV's in HP being so low. Should I go w/ #2 or #3?

Since your nature is Jolly, I doubt this Ambipom will be a NP passer xD. Go with #2 imo.

I would go for 3 , aipoms hp doesnt matter much because it usually dies after 1 hit anyways as it is frail with or without hp iv'.

EDIT:

I've got a question on the tiers.
In OU tier , we can use ANYTHING below OU ? (so RU , BL , UU , NU and so on can all be in the OU teams?)
So an Ubers team can have ANY pokemons on it ?

It can't use a Pokemon with the ability Moody. That's banned everywhere.

I don't actually know where the ban is on the site if it is, but Moody cannot be used outside of Street.

Well, that thread is in The Policy Review, so..

Also, the "B/W Ubers" thread in the Battles sub-forum (in the Wi-Fi forum) has stated that you cannot use Moody in standard Ubers.

So if i get it right , there is NO place at all where you can use Moody .
Ubers contains all pokemons.
Dreamworld ubers contains all pokemons + all abilitys except for moody ?

I've noticed lately that my defensive core of Armaldo (Physical wall) and Empoleon (special wall) is getting broken through by electric attacks and mons such as Rotom Wash. Rotom Cut on my team is a nice answer to those electric attacks, but my set (248 sp att/252 speed/4 def/4 sp def) can't take repeated hits like my walls, and lacks recovery. What could I change in his EV's to improve his synergy with my defensive core? Note, I do not want to take out any speed EV's, because with scarf, he hits just above 400, which is required to outspeed some threats to my team.

I believe changing your core would actually benefit the team better.
Empoleon has a decet yet not decent at all typing. Neutral dammage from grass and fire arent helping much either.
He is weak to electricity and fighting , wich are 2 commong sets allready.
Armaldo is i believe rock and steel ? That isnt the best combination either for a wall-like pokemon. (but i could be wrong on that)

I'm pretty sure the only good thing about Empoleon is its typing.

Quick Question: Is it better to train all the pokemon you want to use in Wi-Fi Battling to level 100 ? Or is it still that they can just automatically be level 100 when you get into a battle ?

Basically, what I'm asking is, does it auto level your pokemon to level 100 in a 6vs6 battle still, or do you have to train them ??

Its typing is unique yes.
But it doesnt offer the best resistances in my opinion.

@Alpha: I have no clue , but you could train them to 50 and put the level cap on 50.

You can't have a level cap for Wi-Fi without using the Flat Battle rule, which means 3v3. You now have to train your Pokémon to 100.
