No. Things like Pokegts can allow you to make the hack on their site. They also provide IV checking (since you;re only checking, it should be relatively okay topeople here. Hacking, obviously not).

I would like to ask Smogon if SS Cloyster is good for Sun teams?

Thinking of this set:
- Shell Smash
- Rock Blast
- Icesickle Spear
- Rapid Spin/ something else

If this is a good idea, what spread and item should I have?

So I'm putting together an actual DS group to try out the battle subway. I've already decided to use Dragonite and Lucario. I can't decide if I want something with good coverage to round it out or good defensive synergy.

What third member would best compliment these two?

It depends on what movesets you're running for Dragonite and Lucario. It might also help to check out the Battle Subway thread on smogon: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102593

If you are running set up sweeping sets for both Dragonite and Lucario, you might want to try out a crippler/Trick-Scarf strategy (see the subway thread) where you use your third member as the lead whose main purpose is to cripple your opponent's lead so your set up sweepers can set up and sweep. If Dragonite and Lucario are more offensive (i.e. you're aiming to be able to sweep with 1DD/SD/NP or less, or even Choice Banded/Specs'd), then a defensive water type, such as Calm Mind Suicune or Toxic/Recover stall Milotic may complement the Dragon-Steel combo well.

In general water types work well with Dragon-Steel, providing for a good ice and fire resistance for both, while its grass weakness is resisted by both Dragon and Steel (and Dragon resists electric too, of course, but not in Dnite's case).

OK just caught an almost perfect ditto...well in my opinion anyway. The guy in the subway said it has relatively superior potential, with both attack and spc. dfn., being fantastic. It's ut at lv 63. I want to use it to breed, but was wondering if these stats will automatically be passed to the eggs or how does that work. Otherwise I'm going to try and ev train this ditto to use in battles...Confused on what to do. Also already ran the ditto's stats through the IV calc...got mostly 24-28's. One more thing, how can A poke have 3 stats that are fantastic, as in the case of a Snivy I got from GTS?

Not exactly to do with the metagame, but can anyone suggest good competent youtube battlers? The more I learn about the metagame, the more silly 90% of youtube battles seem... one of the most competent battlers I have seen in the Killer Nacho, and he uses Furret and swords dance Skarmory.

3 IVs will be passed from the parents to the baby (and the other 3 will be random). This means your baby will have one of the following inheritance patterns:

  • 3 IVs from Ditto, 0 from the other parent, 3 random
  • 2 IVs from Ditto, 1 from the other parent, 3 random
  • 1 IV from Ditto, 2 from the other parent, 3 random
  • 0 IVs from Ditto, 3 IVs from the other parent, 3 random
Normally it is random as to which stats will be inherited, but if you put a "power item" (Power Lens, Power Bracer, etc.) on one of your parents, you will force a specific stat to be inherited from that Pokémon. As for your second question, it's actually not hard to get any IV spread you so desire (including 31s across the board) thanks to RNG abuse. You can also just get lucky; I bred several Pokémon in my Emerald with 31s in 3 stats (before RNG abuse was possible).

1-In 2012 dragon's egg event, nintendo transfer eggs to BW, when the dragon hatched out, it must be a shiny, will it get a DW ability?
2-What is the IV spread of pokemon which get from an event, is it random or sth else?
3-What ability does togepi get if it was come from Pokemon XD?

Thanks for answering~

Not sure about the first two, but Togepi's Ability is random when you catch it from XD, meaning it can either be Hustle or Serene Grace. However, if you evolve it in 4th Gen, there's a chance that its Ability will switch, so it's hard to tell what its Ability will be until you actually transfer it into 4th Gen.

Which pokemon provides the best wish support?

Can anyone beat Jirachi? With U-Turn and a speed decreasing nature, it could theoretically absorb the incoming attack itself and heal a crippled teammate..... is there anyone better at that role (using, say volt switch or baton pass?)

Also, is Jirachi bulky enough to use that wish then u-turn strategy?

Blissey and Vaporeon can pass bigger Wishes than Jirachi and the latter has a slow Baton Pass to mimic Jirachi's U-turn. Speaking of which, I really think you're better off using Jirachi's good Speed to your advantage to outspeed things like Tyranitar instead of trying to pass slow Wishes to your allies.

In Doubles, If you have a Ground-type with Lighting Rod say Rhyperior, and your partner uses Discharge is the entire move drawn or will it still hit the opponent's pokemon?

Can someone please give me an example moveset of a "defensive Starmie?" I've been hearing of it but have never faced one and don't see it in the analysis.

Haven't played this game since September or so.. have I been missing out on anything?

[Bored of RNGing as well]

Feel like playing a story-mode.. which would be best?

Have HG/SS, Platinum, or Pokemon White. Starter options would be nice.

I'm assuming 3rd version of this game isn't coming out anytime soon?

There's some new DW Pokemon released, including two new areas. Thundurus, Excadrill, and Deoxys-S are Uber and some Pokemon have moved into OU from the lower tiers.

I'd say play though HGSS since those seem to be the best in-game. Tododile and Cyndaquil both work well in there but you could use Chikorita if you want a challenge.
