I have two more questions, both about PO:
1) What do the pokeballs on the left side mean?
2) What does the Variation mean? More specifically, I know it refers to what ranking you are compared to your opponent, but how do I interpret the numbers?
1. It shows what authority you are. I believe it is:
Pokeball: normal
Great ball: mod
Ultra ball: super mod
Master ball: administrator
2. The numbers deal with how many points you will get/loss if you win/loss. The +# tells you how many you get if you win and the -# tells you how many points you loss if you lose.

I need one to three Pokemon for my team:
-offensive user of Stealth Rock that still has some bulk behind it
-offensive Water resist/immunity
-priority user

I run an offensive team with Hydreigon/Landorus/Heatran/Magnezone/Gliscor/Terrakion. I just learned today that Stealth Rock + Poison Heal is illegal on Scor, but I still need it to counter Lucario.

Metagross fits in categories 1 and 3 as it gets Stealth Rock and Bullet Punch. Toxicroak fits in categories 2 and 3 with Dry Skin and Sucker Punch/Vacuum Wave.

EDIT: Also, I didn't notice Birkal's post on the previous page.

This is an in-game question but I hope it belongs here.

From my understanding, you can avoid being forced to capture the cover legends(Resh & Zek) by having all boxes and party filled up. However, is there a way I can avoid that tedious work while still being able to SR for a good natured one~?
Let's say, I capture it and purposely lose to Ghetsis/N. Will I be transported to the PC o.o Thanks

Hippowdon could fit the first category it isn`t exactly offensive but it counters lucario pretty well and also supports you with Sandstorm wich certainly helps your Landorus and Terrakion and everything bar hydreigon is immune to SS so you could replace Gliscor with him.

CB DNite could be an offensive Water resist as well as a good priority abuser, but i am not sure which Pokemon to replace with him.
Rotom-W could go over Heatran or Magnezone and would allow for a potent VoltSwitch combo with Landorus, Magnezone and Hydreigon.

Scizor is propably the best priority user in the game and hey he is also a great user of U-Turn wich allows for even more VoltTurn fun if you want to abuse this infamous strategy i would propably use him over either Heatran or Magnezone.

@above if you lose to Ghetsis/N you will be transported to the last Pokemon center, but you also got the choice to include Resh or Zek to your team before you start batteling N so afaik you could look up its nature even without losing first.

Wait, you mean they actually let me check the nature in the summary tab :o~? Iirc, they exclude the nature :( But anyways, THANKS :) I'll stop at 9 boxes and try to confirm it.

p.s The autosave happens only when I beat Ghetsis, right? o.o

Could this work in OU?

I'd rather have Trick in the moveset somewhere so you can cripple walls easier and then have freedom to pick and choose whatever move you please. Otherwise, yes, that is a viable set to use

@ IronGross: As part of the EdgeQuake combo, yes, sure.. In all other cases, not so much. It mainly suffers from not having many solid moves, with the choices being Stone Miss or Weak (Rock) Slide.

It doesn't tell you the nature, but you should be able to work it out (depending on the IVs). It will show the stats, so enter them into an IV calculator (such as metalkid's) and see which natures result in those stats being legal.

So I posted a question on the first page and it still hasn't been answered and I believe the reason is because it deals with some pretty heavy mechanics with the breeding system rather than the battling. Is there a place that would be better suited to ask my question, or should I try experimenting and figure it out on my own?

My question is if both of the parents are wearing Power Items like this, say take the above example of Power Bracer and Power Anklet, then what would the stat that wasn't passed down be?

One of the two possibilities should be the Male's Attack IV and not the Female's Speed IV. But if it's not taking the Female's Speed IV does the Child's Speed IV become a randomized number, or does it revert to the Father's Speed IV? Meaning if you had both parents holding Power Items like this would it have the Father's Attack and Speed IVs?

There will be a fifty fifty chance of it getting either the anklet stat or the bracelet stat, then the other stats follow normal inheritance laws (ie it will receive another two stats from the parents and the rest will be random).

So yes, there's no point in giving both parents power items.

I really want to use Sigilyph, but I'm having trouble deciding what kind of team support to put around it. It seems like it's a very independent Pokemon. Sandstorm seems like the most common team it's on. I guess my question is what kind of team support works well with Sigilyph, if any? Obviously, everything appreciates hazards, Sigi doesn't want to be phazed or taunted early, and Dark types reduce him to Burn-stalling. Should I just build a 5-member team and tack Sigilyph onto it or are there Pokemon that work well with it?

I've been refining my OU team for a while, and in the wake of the recent bans on exca and deo s, the metagame in OU seems to have been getting good at last. (Weather isn't on every other team now either) My lead tank/physical hitter role pokemon has been in the past Metagross, followed by my beloved Gyarados for a time. I'm now wondering if Meta would be good again.

My team;
- - - (Tank/Physical Attacker)
Armaldo (Physical Wall/Rapid Spinner)
Empoleon (Special Wall/Phaze/SR)
Shandara (Special Sweeper)
Rotom C (Momentum/Pivot)
Froslass (Specific Threat Elimination)

The first slot in the team could be a metagross geared towards quick attacking (4 attack), or set up attacker (Gyara). Could I get some feedback to what would be better for my team synergy?

You're pretty much right. Residual damage in the form of weather (sandstorm-hail) and hazards are the best way to abuse Sigy's ability. As for other team members, try to use Pokemon that cover its weaknesses such as Jirachi (rock\ice) and Tyranitar (ghost\dark). I suggest that you take a look at Kevin Garrett's Solum's Core, it's one of the most successfull teams that make use of Sigyliph.

Sorry if you think I'm a noob or something, but I'm just really curious. :)

A 30 HP IV Charizard activates Salac after Sub + Belly Drum because its HP is divisble by 4, right? If Charizard has 31 IV's, it's HP is 297, which means if I add 12 EV's in HP it will reach 300 which is divisible by 4. With 12 HP EV's, will Salac activate after Sub + Belly Drum?

Yes, although the point of 30 HP IV is so that you save those 12 HP EVs.

ev training

I'm just getting into EV training and I have read an article telling me where to battle certain pokemon to get base stat points but I am breeding to get the right natures and characteristics.the problem I have is if I want to train for sp defence for example the pokemon does not have a chance being level 1 against a much higher level opponent so would it be ok to use exp share and wud the pokemon I'm ev training get the base stat point or just the pokemon I battle with?
