Any suggestions or advice?

Hey Smogonites. I am ExquisiteZero on the forums and Charge in the Smogon server on PO. Well, some of you might know me but yeah. I am looking for some tips to build a team. I have built numerous teams and none of them truly worked for me.

So, hos do I actually build one that could actually work? Picking 3 pokemon that work together and form a core? I don't know. My team looks good on paper but did badly in actual battles. I always think that offense is my style. I tried a stall team but it too, didn't work too well. Is it because of the way I play? I am quite new to the competitive scene and thus I might be lacking experience.

So here are some the things I would probably want. I know that I would probably want a DDTar but then, its ruined by all the priority moves in the game. And I always have problem making use of the synergy in my team. Any advice?

iirc the biggest threat to DDTar in 4th gen was Scizor, so everyone packed Babiri Berry. However, currently the biggest threat is Conkelderp, which not even Chople Berry can save you, especially when Conkelderp doesn't have Scizor's 4x Fire weakness.

tldr: DDTar sucks, don't use it. Tyranitar's main focus is sand now, since it can't even kill the resident Psychic, Reuniclus.

Yep. I tried all sorts of weather and I really, really don't like to use weather even though it kinda defined the meta now. But still, I would like some advice as to how to build a decent team that can work.

If I have a Scizor in HG and I taught it Superpower, and then I breed the scizor, will the offspring have superpower as well or do I have to get a perfect IV scizor then teach it the move?

When it's possible to get Rage Candy Bar from prof. Juniper? I've been trying to run in and out of Relic Castle but I haven't seen her at all... Maybe I sold it accidentally if it's not a keyitem? <.< I've beat Elite 4 three times now and found all the sages.

Defeat all trainer on Royal Unova every Saturday (yay its today) and you'll get another one.

Would you be able to tell if a caught male eevee from DW was Evolved into jolteon via thunderstone, was actually an eevee or the actual jolteon event? Is there any marker for DW events?

Anybody can help?

Okay, you want a DDTar. Go search up TTar's analysis on Smogon, and look at the comments beneath the set you want to use, and see what it says are the counters to TTar.

You say DDTar is wrecked by Priority moves, and one abuser of priority that immediately comes to mind is PrioriTop (I'm picking Pokemon off the top of my head). So, get something that counters that, and also works well on a Sandstorm team. Another user is Scizor, perhaps more common that PrioriTop. Make sure to have a way to roast that bug, and also, you have to be careful, and Bullet Punch and Pursuit make for mind games. So find a good way to kill Scizor that works in Sandstorm. HP Fire Magnezone works well to get rid of some Scizor, especially those that don't run U-Turn, etc.

Simply keep doing this, test your resulting team, and adjust accordingly.

@ozzy: Superpower isn't an egg move for Scyther. Happy RNG'ing.

@Kepperino: No, not really, the extra 2 EVs don't make a difference. 252/252/6 is no different from 252/252/4 or 253/253/4.

After having EV'd a Pokémon 252 EV's in two stats, does it matter whether you give six or four EV's in a third stat?

Only 4 will matter if you have 252 in 2 stats. But I guess you can look at it as "it's just 1 extra stat point!" I would, too, unless you throw it in speed or health, where it really could make the difference.

Perhaps the "Met at ???" might be an indicator? If he happened to of bred them, they'd probably be met at route 3, but I'm not 100% sure what event 'mons have under that category...

This might be a stupid question but, When will Gen V be listed in the Smogon strategy pokedex? Thanks in advance and again, please excuse me if this is a stupid question.

For a Nasty Plot Crobat set, what moves do I choose? (assuming item is Leftovers, max Speed and SpAtk EV's, nature is Timid, and Nasty Plot takes up a slot)

Options:
Air Slash (STAB, flinch, coverage against Fighting, Bug, Grass)
Dark Pulse (Flinch, coverage against Ghost and Psychic)
Giga Drain (Recovery, coverage against Water, Ground, Rock)
Heat Wave (Burn, Coverage against Bug, Steel, Grass, Ice)
Sludge Bomb (STAB, poison, coverage against Grass)

What is the most difficult legendary to catch?
Aka, on what Pokémon should I use my Master Ball?
I'm still going after Landorus.
Should I use it on him or save it for whenever I get lucky enough to find a shiny or something?

I, personally, have always saved my Master Ball for roamers, mostly because I don't want to deal with the whole trapping aspect of catching them.

Landorus was pretty annoying to catch, though. My team was lower level than him so he just spammed Fissure and made my life hell. If you've already caught your roamer I'd suggest Landorus, I suppose. Just don't use it on Reshiram / Zekrom like a friend of mine did. I still get a kick out of that.

Don't Quick Balls work wonders on the roamers in B/W?

Probably, once you've gotten their health down to 1 with False Swipe. I just didn't want to think about it or deal with it, especially given how difficult it is to get into the zone with the guy in Gen5 thanks to removing their location from the 'dex.

Alright, I would like to know if you can add Pokémon to your Entralink.

I had planned to get a ton of the special "Eevee-lution" thinking there would be at least one female in there for me to start breeding. However, I got none. I later found out on Serebii that only males were given. So now, I'm in deep shit, because there's no more "Eevee-lution" in my Entralink to RNG. That means no Magic Bounce Espeon, Hydration Vaporeon and Chlorophyll Leafeon. I might have tried Jolteon, Flareon and Glaceon, but I doubt it.

So now, I want to know if I can add them to my Entralink via any method (Pokesav, using a DS as a distributor, etc.) in order to RNG them once they're in, 'cause I want them legit. Anyone has a clue on how to do that? Or does anyone has a save with them still in the Entralink?
