What are some good phazers for an ingame Wifi team (preferably no legendaries, since I can't RNG for them)? They must be able to reach their full potential without Gen 4 only moves.

EDIT: Do Circle Throw and Dragon Tail hit through Substitutes?
Something like Vaporeon or Suicune is a nice phazer, or even maybe Milotic with Dragon Tail. Dragon Tail will phaze them if it breaks the sub, iirc.

@Stover
If you are running wish on Vaporeon then you might not need to worry too much about life orb and sandstorm damage with your ape providing you can get the switch off right. Because looking at your team you might need a mixed poke in case you get walled by something horribly defensive.

BAH I was hoping to use my wish vaporeon from my other team as it is already EV trained and everything, but he doesn't have Heal Bell and to get it I would have to go back to my diamond version. Anyone have a heal bell/wish vaporeon for trade?

I've never really needed it so I don't have one plus I use hydration Vaporeon for white which is not what you need as water absorb should be your ability of choice.

I can see what I need to breed it with and if it's not overly difficult I could maybe do it.

I don't have a problem doing it, I believe it's a move from the move tutor (but only in gen IV) I could look more into it, but I didn't see anything about getting it in black.

I've got a question about Black city, I recently went there, but i left it too long and everyone has left. Now I go to my brothers game (white) where he asked all my guys over to his game. However I can't ask them to come back, any way to solve that?

I asked this somewhere else, but I guess it was in the wrong thread. So anyway, how do you get a Zigzagoon with ExtremeSpeed and Gluttony? Since ES is third gen only, and it gets Gluttony in fourth gen... and I don't see ES as an egg move.

Hey guys, I play DW OU at PO server. I use gimmicky Baton Pass team, I find these guys are amusing, they are:

Forretress @ Rocky Helmet; Trait: Sturdy
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Gyro Ball
- Volt Change

Volbeat @ Leftovers; Trait: Prankster
- Encore
- Substitute
- Tail Glow
- Baton Pass

Vaporeon @ Leftovers; Trait: Water Absorb
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell
- Surf

Spiritomb @ Leftovers; Trait: Pressure
- Sucker Punch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest
- Protect

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf; Trait: Levitate
- Dragon Pulse
- Earth Power
- Flamethrower
- U-Turn / Surf

My question is, what physical attacker should I use on the last slot?
Any suggestion for Vaporeon & Spiritomb?
At +6, Hydreigon's Dragon Pulse pwns everything bar Blissey... Thus makes me face trollifying number of rage quits, I rarely win though *NOOB* :/

Which would be a better defensive phazing Fighting-type: Throh with Circle Throw and Bulk Up, or Thick Fat Hariyama? My planned team so far consists of Rotom-A (Heat Rotom for now), Jellicent, and Porygon-2.

Throh has more balanced defenses and would be better for physical resistances, but I'm tempted by Hariyama's resistances to Fire and Ice, which would do well against the common Volcarona (unless they have Psychic) and some other common threats like Heatran. . .

Has any testing been done on iron ball/lagging tail with regards to the weight affected moves like Heat Crash and Heavy Slam? I'm not so sure on iron ball but the description of Lagging Tail says its "tremendously heavy" and not, would someone be willing to test with me?

TRibute:

According to my in-game tests, neither Iron Ball nor Lagging Tail have an effect
on their holder's weight, as Float Stone does.

Does anyone know a good competitive moveset/spread for a Sassy Ferrothorn? I happen to have a 31/31/31/31/31/0 for use on WI-Fi. I think I'm going to use Power Whip/Gyro Ball/Spikes/Leech Seed, but I have no idea for the spread.

I would use Throh, just because it has better defenses and a better phazing move

Can't. But, I got Gluttony on my Adamant event Zigzagoon once it evolved to Linoone. I believe back in Gen 4, ability depended on your PID/SID as I've heard, so I was lucky and got a Gluttony one.

Oh, I see. Well that's good to know. As a side note, I really am sad Linoone doesn't get Quick Attack, because if it did, I could make a ghetto set with QA and Retaliate instead of ES as a revenger... too bad. I like Linoone too...

Of course it can. Evolution in gen 4 changes the ability half the time. As such, get a ES zigzagoon of pokemon box, send it to a gen 4 game, evolve it and hope to god its ability changes.

I saw on a thread somewhere that Tri Attack is illegal with Nasty Plot. Can anyone tell me why, because I missed out on a year of updates xD

The only possible place I can think of where this would come up is on Porygon-Z, and he learns both by level-up/heart scale. There's no ban on it either, so I have no idea how that'd be illegal.

Unless there's another Pokemon that gets both who would want to run them?

I'm pretty sure that was Togetic/kiss, iirc. But iirc maybe it's because you would (I suppose) need to hack the Pokemon to get it learn both those moves. Maybe the guy was just trolling lol xD

Nasty Plot is by breeding, and Tri-Attack is from a weird in-game traded Togepi in Pokemon XD.

That's what I said. However, I said it wasn't possible to make Zigzagoon itself have Gluttony.
