what does TPCI mean by swiss exactly. for nationals, is that like you face 3 people and if you win 2 of 3 you move on to top 16?, what about 2 people or 4 people? i would appreciate some specifics/mechanic of this method, thank you

What time do you recommend for me and my brother to get to Newark? (He's a Junior so we'll have to get there pretttty early, any suggestions on how early though?)

Well, at Seattle me and my little brother came actually a few minutes before they cut off the registration for the Juniors, but there weren't all too much. So he got in okay. Still I would get there somewhat more early than I had did. Being at the end has somewhat of perks though, he said that everyone he faced until finals were easy. That was somewhat true for me...

Which pokemon would best sompliement my team of groudon rayquaza and metagross? I'm thinking a infernape or weavile but i'm not sure

As The Final Regional Slowly looms into existence I would like to hear other people's opinion on how to take Down the Hitmontop+Kyogre leads with either Palkia or Giratina in the rear.

Having a slower pokemon with SStream or SDay will sabotage Rain but then Kyogre goes for the Attk and then Switches to Abomasnow. Having a Quicker Fakeouter will force hitmontop to use machpunch or fakeout the non fakeouter (oponent).

Scarfed Giratina with Focus Sash Weavile can do the trick. Gira Vanishes and weavile uses fakeout on Ogre. Ogre can switch out to either of the Usual team mates (abomasnow Palkia or even Giratina). Now Hitmontop has two choices Machpunch or sucker punch. Seing as it cant kill Giratina with two S punches it will choose Machpunch on Weavile.

hey haven't you ever wondered why they give out 510 ev's? i mean y couldn't they just screw the last two ev's they make no sense either way no matter how you do the math. You always end up getting those 2 ev's which give you a decimal. they end up going to waste anyway. So whats thew point?

Looking for a battle buddy to help me with the kinks in my nationals team, i am going for something with a suprise but as i am testing it on Pokemon online, the team is already getting around so i am hoping someone with time and a kind heart can pm me so we talk. we can be P.O battle budies even, i help you finalize your team as you do mine and both our teams keep thier suprise factor, and for those who have battled me on PO already, well you may have seen the team draft/concept and would appriciate you keeping it a secret. anyways PM me if you are willing to help, i greatly appreciate it.

Lazy coding, the same reason the individual EV cap is 255. 255 is the maximum value that can be stored with two hex digits and they didn't bother to set an arbitrary cap that was a multiple of 4 since setting the EV limit at 252 instead of 255 wouldn't actually change the maximum possible stats you could achieve.

Would a fully physical Abomasnow be viable on a team? the team i'm currently using is a weavile, Kyogre lead with palkia and abomasnow as back up. The biggest problem is getting toxic stalled by a blissey just spamming soft boil and seismic toss. I know it is more common to see SpAtk abomasnows but would a physical one work or should I just go with a quiet one like I have now?

It's perfectly usable, you'll get some surprised reactions for sure. Besides, Aboma has the same Attack and Special Attack base stat so you're fine. You have Wood Hammer, Ice Shard, Earthquake, etc.

Eww no, Wood Hammer won't help you beat Blissey anway, and Ice Punch won't 2hko, so you will still loose to Blissey, and loose to so much else as well. Trust me, I'm a Blissey expert.

So should I stick with a SpAtk Abomasnow and try to power through a blissey with Low kicks from Weavile and Ice shards?

Or swap a team member, if you want to beat Blissey, the answer isn't Physical Abamosnow, its swapping Abamasnow for a Metagross or something.

idunno man. I've KO'd every blissey I've come across with Woodhammer. It KOs you too, but meh, gets the job done, plus changes the weather.

Wood hammer from max atk Abomasnow to 252 def Calm Blissey: 52% - 61.6%
Recoil to 252 HP Abomasnow from the same attack: 28.9% - 34.5%

Blissey will outspeed and toxic, or something, before you Wood Hammer the first time. The next turn it will Softboiled off almost all the damage, while you hit again. Abomasnow will go down from recoil long before Blissey goes down from Wood Hammer, barring a crit.

I've tested a ton of games with Blissey, and never found Physical Abomasnow to be a problem as long as I outspeed it, which isn't certain, but since most Abomasnow are Quiet/Brave 0 IV, its likely.

how exactly does pressure work in doubles ?
if i have 2 pressure pokemon out it doesnt decrease the pp twice right ?
and if i only have one pressure pokemon out does it only deplete pp if that pokemon is the target ?

how many speed ev's do I need to invest in a Jolly scarfed giratina that can outspeed a modest scarfed kyogre with 252 ev's in speed????
