This was just an idea I had a while ago about how there should be a simple question simple answer thread in Cong. for people to ask and get quick answers without having to create a new thread.

Anyway, I guess I should start off:

I had music on my mom's itunes account. I finally got my own itunes account and I didn't want to rebuy the songs I had. So I burned the songs from my moms account to a CD, then transferred the songs over to my account. All the songs information, however, like name, artist, playlist, and genre is gone now, and the songs are reffered to as Track 1, Track 2, ect.

So is there any way to get all my info back?

Unfortunetly I can only edit the title, and also it won't show up on the songs respective albums or it won't say who made the song

You may need to get third-party tag-editing software. Google for "music tag editor" or something - the first result is this, which looks like it might work.

On your mom's computer, there is a file. Open your "Music" folder, then open the "iTunes" folder. There will be a file called iTunes Music Library:

Copy that file/email it to yourself/whatever you want, but get that file into the iTunes folder on YOUR computer. That contains all the proper tagging for your songs.

I use Windows Media Player and when you right click an album it gives you an option to "Find Album Info", if you do have this option, just type in the name of the album as it should say, and it will bring up the band name, release year, album name and art, song titles, genre, and you just automatically change all the album info to the one you selected in the search

Question! If you technically can't get permanently banned on Smogon, only for a maximum of 45 days, how come some people seem to have been banned for a really long time?

I guess the impression is due to the Infraction-FAQ stating you can only get infractions that last up to 45 days, though if you skim it, you could miss the part saying about custom infractions.

And what about stickying this, at least for the time being?

Ahh I didn't see that before

Edit: Closed the question

It's generally a pretty bad idea to air the Staff's dirty laundry out in the public.

Permanent bans are possible and have happened before. Obviously they're not the norm but really just stay out of trouble and you won't know when they come into play. :)

Let's move off the topic of Smogon management discipline decisions for the time being, please. :)

I just got an iTouch, however it's really old. (I think perhaps it was first or second generation). Anyway, it wont allow me to get any apps from the app store. It says "IPhone needs 3.0 Software update)
However, on iTunes, it says my itouch (version 2.2.1) is the most updated version. How can I fix this problem so I can get apps?

so basically this thread will be "ask questions that you can find answers to elsewhere on the internet"

or in Shiny_Tyranitar's case, "ask questions that you can find answers to by reading the fucking stickies"

And because of the above's point, I am going to close this thread. I left it open originally because I thought there was hope, but alas...
