Deep in the heart of Olive Jungle on Fiore's island of Summerland, past the legendary Jungle Relic, lies a large, peaceful clearing, nearly untouched by humans for millenia. In the grassy field, Chikorita and Oddish relax regardless of the weather, and Hoppip occasionally drift through in the wind. Adjacent forests house Ekans and Weedle, with Pidgey and Hoothoot resting high in the tallest trees, and a serene lake lies to one side, with Lotad and Surskit occupying the water. Furthermore, a steep, rocky cliff borders another side, with the most friendly Gligar you've ever seen soaring through.
Pokemon have lived in their natural state here throughout this time without the influence of humankind, bringing about some strange effects. The peaceful inhabitants of this clearing have felt little need to reign supreme, and as such have not experienced evolution. Furthermore, the energy of their serenity causes all Pokemon entering the area to "devolve", becoming their baby form for almost all intents and purposes. However, the community here have needed to discover new techniques, thus movepools are unaffected by the energy. Also, the native Pokemon's resourcefulness allows any Pokemon in the area to use items intended for anyone in their evolutionary line. Mega Evolution, however, requires a competitive energy that contradicts this peace. Pokemon which do not have younger or older forms are strangely repelled by this innocent energy, and will refuse to enter.
- Pokemon that are FE or NFE, will revert to their LC forms for this battle. LC Pokemon will remain in their LC forms.
- Pokemon keep their movepool from their original stage, even if their known moves are unavailable to their lower forms (e.g. an Alakazam which has reverted to an Abra may use Focus Blast despite Abra being unable to learn it).
- All other aspects of the Pokemon (Stats, Nature (including accuracy boosts), Typing, Ability) are adjusted according to their LC forms.
- Pokemon may receive the boost from items that their FE forms get but the LC forms do not (such as Porygon and Dubious Disc). They may also receive boosts from items that the LC forms get but the evolved forms do not (such as Porygon-Z and Upgrade).
- Mega Stones have no effect.
- Pokemon with only one evolution stage are banned. This includes one-stage Pokemon with Mega Evolutions such as Pinsir.
- There are no limitations in terms of natural resources, nor in terms of weather.
- Nature Power calls Energy Ball; Camouflage turns Pokemon Grass-type.
- Secret Power may induce Sleep.
