BBB's Doodles

Thanks, Towelie. I really wish I had Photoshop, though. x3 Just way too expensive for this little guy here.

Alright, I've got another picture today. This one is of Glaceon, and I think looks pretty good in my standards. I feel like I kinda cheated myself a bit, practically using the pose right from the sprites. But otherwise I like how it turned out.

@Delko: Haha, thanks, I really like how it turned out, too.

I was in a bit of a funk today, but I trudged through it and got a picture out. I'm not really too happy with how it turned out, though. I feel like I did the shading all wrong, and I messed up the "eyes" design on the chest a little. I'm starting to really get tired of spending hours on and off trying to color them, so don't be surprised if I start experimenting with some other tools or something. Anyways, enough of my nonsense, here's an Arbok for you.

Sure, I'll draw anything. I'm not as good as most of the others here, so just don't expect it to be that good. : P I'm always up for a challenge, though.

Edit: I might as well say this now, too. I'm gonna be leaving out of state for a while on Monday, which means I may or may not have as much time to work on my drawings. I don't know what my schedule will look like exactly, but I'm sure that it won't keep me too busy to do what I love!

Well, as requested by ColdRAIN, I drew Rayquaza (One of my favorites, by the way :3). In light of experimenting with new tools as to help make coloring easier, I did the whole piece using the Pencil tool. It did indeed make the coloring much less painstaking, as well as aloud me to fill in smaller details. The picture did come out a little small, though, so if that's a bother to anyone, I apologize. I also experimented with a background for the first time today to make the picture look a bit better. I suppose that's a pretty big step compared to my other works, so I'd love some feedback on what you all think!

Nice! you did a good job on it tho, the mouth and head seem a little...fat? Although Rayquaza is hard to draw :D

(Requests Sceptile)....:D

Yeah, it does, huh? Rayquaza does have more of viper-ish of a head than I portrayed. I tried to make it a little more pointed, but it just didn't look right, so I settled with a little more square head :P

Sceptile, eh? My favorite of the 3rd gen starters! I should have it done by tomorrow if all goes well :3

Alright, so I've got another request completed! I think it turned out pretty well, but for some reason I couldn't get the highlighting to work with me. Well, I decided to just finish and post it anyways, so here's a Sceptile for you folks.

Edit: Well I decided to go back and tone it down a little bit, so here's what I came out with

Improved?

That Rayquaza is great, holy shit.
I also think the Glaceon/Arbok drawings are some of your best.
Your style is great, especially with such limited tools! I think we all need to pitch in to get you a tablet. :3

The Arbok, really? I thought I just crapped that one out <_<

I'm not really sure how I'd do with a tablet, to be honest. I've never really drawn anything good on paper, but I guess I wouldn't be drawing on that medium. Haha. Looking up on Google I found one that also includes Photoshop Elements, so I'm extremely tempted to get one now.

I'd personaly like to see you get a bit cleaner lines...the lines look like you just used teh mouse and drew...use other tools like the curve tool, or the line tool, and use the circle tool for the balls of fluff... you are getting the hang of the highlights i congratulate you ^_^

Well, that's probably because I really did just used the mouse and drew. <_< Well, tracker pad, to be more precise. I've never used the other tools in Paint, personally, but that does seem like a good idea! Thank you very much, considering you were the person who suggested it to me in the first place. Hopefully with experience I will get the hang of it even more.

Thanks for the compliment, I really hope on getting a tablet sooner or later.

Well, I had a vision in my mind that I just had to get out, which is one of Zoroark in this dynamic pose. It's not exactly what I imagined it to be, but I do like it. I toned downed the shading a little bit this time, so input on that would be appreciated, as well. I tried using the shape and line/curve tools, but it felt like I was trying to fight with the machine to make the lines that I wanted, so I just decided to do it by hand.

Also, this might be my last drawing for I don't know how long, since I'm leaving tomorrow on vacation for a couple of months. I will bring my computer, though, so hopefully I'll still make some periodically!

It's good to be home, and it's time to finally put up some drawings. I had actually done some by hand, but the scanner made them a bit...unrecognizable. Darn. Fortunately, I did make some drawings on my reliable ol' computer here, including an original Pokemon concept!

Alright, first one here is a simple Pichu that I had made for a friend. Not the best, I know, but I just did it real' quick. And the ears are ginormous.

Second one's a bit better; a concept of a fossil Pokemon based off of the Velociraptor. Kinda had a Rock/Dark type in mind while I was making it.

Well, one day I was asked by someone to draw a furry. So I did. His name is Boris, and he's a dog with thumbs.

I loves them comments, peoples.

Wow, these are very nice, I love the way you present your art with b&w, then colored, then shaded. Excellent!

Anyways, I would like to request a heatran

Thank you, KidX! I like posting different stages of art so that others can better critique them as need be. It's also kinda cool to see the transaction between a work in progress and a finished piece. :) I'll try and get to that Heatran soon, too. (Finally)

I've been gone for a while since I got back to spend time with my friends before school starts this year. But with the first day tomorrow, my life has slowed down a little bit, enough to really concentrate on improving my drawing. Also, I found a new program (thanks to art-of-tennis), which opens up a lot of possibilities on what I can do for my art. After messing around a bit with the program (Sumo Paint, by the way), I decided to do a little drawing to test it out. I drew the head of a Silver dragon straight from the Draconomicon to do this. It took over four hours just to make the basic black and white drawing, and really tested my patience.

It'll probably take a long time for me to color this and experiment on different effects, which is why I posted the unfinished product now. Tell me what you all think!

Edit: Y'know, I've been trying to color this for a while now, but I'm not really sure how to tackle something this big. Are there any tips that might make a feat such as this a little less daunting, or is this just a "bite the bullet" situation?

Alright, so after a bit more messing around I found out a way to color fairly well in the program. It takes a bit longer than in Paint, but it doesn't really bother me.

As requested by KidX, I drew a Heatran. I used one layer for the line art, and another layer for the coloring so that I could move a bit faster. I also used a blur tool to make the shading look a bit better, so I'll probably be using that from now on to help. I think it turned out pretty well, myself, but I'd love to know what you all think!

Weavile is finished! At first I was very intimidated by it; this is the most human-like figured pokemon that I've ever drawn, and if there's anything I suck at doing, it's drawing people. I spent more time on this piece than any other of my complete works, and I really think it paid off. I'm getting the hang of shading even more now; I even used two colors to make it blend even better. Personally, I think this is my best work yet, and even better, of one of my favorite pokemon.

Some of you might notice the lack of ears and tail on the first two stages, and that's because I completely forgot! I have no idea what came over me, but thankfully I fixed it in the finished picture. I feel like such a dunce. :P
