I definitely think he's in a good spot now. He's by no means a bad Pokemon, and with his main competitor gone he is plenty viable competitively. He has great attack and decent bulk, not to mention a perfectly useable movepool. While his slow speed and lack of Close Combat hurt, he still has plenty to work with. It was just a simple matter of Staraptor's existance. As useful as Braviary CAN be, Staraptor was always just that much more useful due to a few specific tools. Now that it's no longer an issue, I can see him having more of a chance, even though Honchkrow is somewhat similar as well.
