When playing in an ROA gen 3 AG tour that started as an Ubers one and had the rules edited for clauses, it is possible to use 2 different deoxys forms in a game, when on cart afaik it should be limited to one form per game. Rules added and replay below. I didn't create the tour so not sure if there was a mistake with the ruling, but fairly sure this shouldn't be possible either way unless there's some niche thing I'm missing.

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen3ubers-1275464791
This tournament includes:
Added bans - Wobbuffet
Removed bans - Double Team, Minimize
Removed rules - Endless Battle Clause, Evasion Moves Clause, OHKO Clause, Sleep Clause Mod, Species Clause

BUG STATUS: FIXED by Instruct, Kris, and Marty; see this PR thread for discussion (DaWoblefet)

Hi there, after running a poll in the National Dex room for a few days by using /poll htmlcreate, the poll exhibited behavior that may be a bug.

At random intervals, the poll would jump to the bottom of the chatlog, which other people in the room also noted was occuring. I don't think this is an intended behavior nor was it something a bot was doing, and was overral quite jarring.

Here is a replay of my opponent using Healing Wish on turn 2 but the Wish comes true in turn 10.
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8ou-1275776994-dihymd3jr8tg470fujlnbb5hfbp5kk4pw
I was more than confused but my opponent seemed casual about it. Can someone explain what happened here or is it just a bug?

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, As said below by spookysocialist, Gen 8 Healing Wish is stored until the next pokemon not at full health switches in. (Dawn of Ares)

I was never able to get any recorded evidence of the glitch since every match I had with the issue the site reloaded and committed seppuku. I've had this error/glitch several times where I select a move and the site does not accept it, although it displays my timer as still, and gives me the option to cancel my move (indicating I made a "move"), the chat log does not show it and I lose due to inactivity.

To add to this, at times the site does not load my profile even when reloaded with perfect internet connection and no known issues, this has happened constantly recently on the site regardless of the device or internet connection I had.

BUG STATUS: FIXED at some point

In the replay logs, it seems like the spacing for the [from] tag is missing for switch events that come from moves like u-turn and volt switch. For example, in https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8vgc2021-1275689888.log the following line comes out at the end of turn 2 |switch|p2a: Crawdaunt|Crawdaunt, F|100/100|[from]move: Volt Switch.

However, when knock off is used on turn 3, the corresponding line to indicate the item's removal looks like this: |-enditem|p1a: Ferrothorn|Rocky Helmet|[from] move: Knock Off|[of] p2a: Crawdaunt

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I checked the sim protocol docs, and it doesn't indicate that major actions like this should display [from] sections differently than in minor actions

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, this doesn't impact mechanics in any way, just a spacing thing. Someone can adjust it if they want (DaWoblefet)

When copying a team from a !code command, the last 252 EVs from a 252/4/252 spread as well as the nature are not copied over from the first mon of the team when pasted into the builder. The rest of the team is copied over fine, it's only the nature and last 252 EVs from a 252/4/252 spread from the first mon on the team that has issues.

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, that's not the intended use of !code - use a pokepaste instead. (DaWoblefet)

Banned deucer.
I notice that the item Metronome’s boost constantly resets when Copycat, and similar call moves are used.

Based on Bulbapedia and cartridge, it is meant to continue as a consecutive use, and thus maintain the boost:

https://m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Metronome_(item)

“If a Pokémon uses a move that calls another move, the move that it turns into is what's taken into account when determining whether the bonus should accumulate or reset.”

BUG STATUS: CONFIRMED - MECHANICS (SERVER) replay here, it should be a Metronome 1 boost (4915/4096) (Dawn of Ares)

hey theres been a bug thats not been fixed since sm lol https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8customgame-1278450160 its called the rollout storage glitch where the rollout multiplier gets delayed if rollout breaks mimikyu's disguise, and when it gets delayed after the 5 turns of rollout when you chose another move that move the turn after the final rollout gets the x16 boost of rollouts fifth hit since it got delayed when it hits mimikyu's disguise, proof
and it still works in sword and shield, btw this also works with defense curl boost so it also can technically be x32. You can tell the glitch isnt there because last resorts base power would be 150 x 16 and would probably ohko stackataka regardless of burn lol

BUG STATUS: CONFIRMED - MECHANICS (SERVER), but Rollout Storage was fixed in patch 1.3.0 of Sword and Shield, so this only applies to Gen 7 and DLC1 formats (DaWoblefet)

Just something a bit disorienting and not sure if it qualifies as a bug or not, but in randoms when Ditto copies a pokemon it uses the speed range for the pokemon at Ditto's level, not at the target pokemon's level (discrepancy in the hide tag). I get that "technically" the range is valid in most cases, but it does give some false expectations as pokemon are always at the top of the range in randoms, so unless I'm checking the opponent's pokemon (instead of Ditto) for the speed range, then I could be in for a nasty surprise when I get outsped because of that discrepancy.

I think the lower value of the range ends up being incorrect if the opposing pokemon is at a lower level and using a Trick Room set, as the lower bound on Ditto will not contain the actual speed, but that's such a niche/contrived case that I can't see it actually affecting anyone.

In RBY and GSC, moves with 40 base PP (like Growl) max out at only 61 PP due to how active PP and number of PP ups used on the move are stored in the same byte.
From Bulbapedia's page on PP up: "If used on a move with 40 base PP, each PP Up will only add 7 PP (up to 61 PP if three PP Ups are used). This is due to limitations in the Pokémon data structure in these games, which cannot store PP values greater than 63."

Yet if we take a mon with Growl into RBY or GSC, it will have 64 max PP on the sim.

This is quite the strange bug... It seems that in generations 3 & 4, the move transform will force you to copy your opponent's ivs permanently. Take a look at the showteam commands from the replays below. I know that the transform DV glitch exists in generations I and II, but does it take effect in generation 3 & 4?

BUG STATUS: CONFIRMED - CHAT (SERVER) - I forget the technicality of IVs actually being copied (you always use your original IVs for Hidden Power, which is what it would only be relevant for), but regardless the /showteam command should be using the original as well when displaying the paste. Typo, I believe, in the description for Sparkling Aria in battle.

It should say 'if the target ' has not fainted, it would be cured of burn.

Thanks to Chiori Mikami for helping me test to see if this in any way had to do with the move not curing the burn if the Pokemon using Sparkling Aria fainted through a damaging berry or something like that (which was not the case; it still worked).
