played staaab (stabmons + aaa) and had triage on tauros-paldea-fire while using bitter blade, was out-sped (out-prioritized?) by espeed which is +2 priority while healing moves w triage are +3, so idt bitter blade and triage has been implemented correctly. heres a replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9almostanyability-1715795244

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, Bitter Blade doesn't have the heal flag in-game, so it's not boosted by Triage (DaWoblefet)

Hey. So the new item punching glove should add x1.5 extra damage to punch moves. However, it appears to be just 1.1 in Showdown. In this video linked below, CybertronVGC explains how the item really works

BUG STATUS: FIXED by Karthik, it's neither of those actually (it's roughly 1.2x BP)

I think Snow is not affecting the Defense stat at all on Ice type pokemons. Try it yourselves, Tyranitar with sandstream will show that it gets it's SpDef boosted by the sandstorm. But that is not the case with Abomasnow and snow warning.

BUG STATUS: FIXED by Karthik

Also an Oinkologne and Abomasnow both with the same Def and BodyPress will do very similar amounts of damage (factoring the randomizer).

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, Body Press isn't boosted by Snow (DaWoblefet)

There's a visual bug with Palafin. When Palafin switches out and then switches back in, it says that Palafin has transformed, but it still looks like the base Palafin. I've confirmed that it's purely visual, since the stats correspond to the hero form. The bug goes away if you Terastalize after Zero to Hero activates. It also doesn't show up in Replays and, while you can see it in other people's active battles, going back to a previous turn and replaying fixes it as well.

2) Screenshot of Palafin with the stats after Zero to Hero activates: https://i.imgur.com/Nzid2MO.png (corresponding replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-1716087574)

BUG STATUS: CONFIRMED - MECHANICS (CLIENT) (DaWoblefet)

Hi, I was told to post here.

[Gen 9] OU replay: Pabl0342 vs. tempolaly - Pokémon Showdown (pokemonshowdown.com)

On turn 11, without terastalizing, Dragapult's Terablast did 13% to an opposing Fairy-terastalized Flutter Mane, which would mean it dealt special damage, not physical. According to this calc, it should do 43.5% min as a physical attack:

This is my Dragapult in the teambuilder:
1668955207841.png

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, Tera Blast can only become a physical move if the user is Terastallized (Karthik)

Hopefully I'm putting this in the right place this time, thanks to Actuarily for guiding me here.
Here is the replay link, alongside the chat from my point of view. https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9doublesou-1716085832-8zcveysjuinomxqzhinrdzmtwgamf7qpw

So, I experienced a bug where the game would no longer let me attack, and I believe it has to do with how Illusion on Zoroark works.
What happens, is between turns 10 and 11, my Chi-Yu was knocked out from full HP, while the Illusion of Chi-Yu (Zoroark) was also out, also at full HP. From my point of view, when the real Chi-Yu gets knocked out, Zoroark takes it's place. In both replays, it does not show this happening. Instead, you can see on the left side that the server thinks that both Chi-Yu and the Illusion (Zoroark) are both alive, and able to attack, but whenever I would put in an attack, the game would deny it. I tried cancelling my attacks, and that didn't work, and I didn't want to risk re-logging and losing that way, so I stayed in the match, waiting for the timer to run out. I do honestly hope this is a bug/glitch, and that my opponent didn't know about it, as otherwise I would have to believe they are using a cheating device of some kind to cause this weird situation. I do not know if this glitch/bug only applies to Chi-Yu, if it is even recreatable, or if it applies to all Pokemon. I don't intend harm or foul, so I'm just hoping this was a bug that can be fixed, especially since it locks players from playing entirely. Thank you for the help in advance!

BUG STATUS: NEEDS MORE INFO, particularly how to reproduce consistently. There have been similar reports in the past with Metronome battles (DaWoblefet)

For some reason, my Mimykyu wasn't taking hail damage the whole damage (before disguise, after disguise, and after disguise + tera)
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen91v1-1716180147-5kx461k3wrg3f9l16lkezoxkx2hum9ypw
It starts at turn 1

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG - In Gen 9, its not Hail, its Snow. Snow doesn't do damage and just passively boosts the defense of ice types by 1.5 (not shown in tooltips yet, known issue). Any abilities previously made for hail now work with snow.

Ability Patches now allow for Hidden Abilities to be reverted to Standard Abilities, which allows for VC-exclusive moves to be on gen 1/2 mons who have their standard abilities, but this isn't acknowledged in the teambuilder.

Alright so we found something that might be very important. We found out whilst testing some other things that terastalisation seems to remove the effects of choice items.

In the first replay seen here: (https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-1716431672) the choice scarf ditto outspeeds the abomasnow, however after terastalizing the ditto suddenly is slower (or speedties) with a non-scarfed abomasnow. Thus there is a chance that the effect of choice scarf is ignored once terrastalized.

In this second replay seen here: (https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-1716436192) the choice banded alomomola doesn't seem to do any extra damage after terrastalizing. At least the rolls seem very similar, even getting less damage on what should be a multiplied damage calc due to terrastalizing. This might prove the first theory to be true, but more testing needs to be done.

If this is already known, sorry for wasting any time.

BUG STATUS: FIXED at some point

(gen9) Blizzard doesnt bypass the accuracy check now for some reason, pretty sure its not intended + the descriptions still states its hail instead of snow

Do you have a replay showing this in action? It's coded to never miss in snow.

Opposing Arceus-Ghost with Multitype and presumably no plate? was displayed as Normal-typed, which is how Multitype works as far as I know. Then it terastalized into Ghost, but for some reason kept its Normal-typing instead of becoming Ghost-type? It was unaffected by Last Respects and took supereffective damage from Close Combat.
Also, my imposter Chansey was holding a Spooky Plate, but when it transformed into Multitype Arceus, it remained Normal-typed instead of becoming a Ghost.

BUG STATUS: NEEDS MORE RESEARCH on how Arceus works with Terastallization (DaWoblefet)

(Gen9) Salt cure vs tera water mon. If i use salt cure vs a mon and it later terastilizes to a water type the damage stays 1/8th even if the attack is performed again. Im not 100% sure how it works in game because I dont have the ability to test but I think it might? Be bugged.

minor bug: Armor Tail display the interaction in a wrong way:

The opposing Dragonite used Extreme Speed! [The opposing Dragonite's Armor Tail] Farigiraf can't use Extreme Speed!

basically it inverts the ability's and move's users. The effect works correctly aside of that. It adds the move used by the opposing pokemon to farigiraf's movepool when you move your cursor though, giving you the hint of zoroark/zorua when it surpass the 4 moves amount:
