Many aspiring writers wanted to write epic tales about the fledgling Necturine, just as I had told of the events that led to her conception. However, they were unfortunately limited to the small space afforded by the Pokédex entries. Nonetheless, exactly half of the brave souls who submitted their visions as final have made it to the poll, to be at the mercy of the voters here today. The contestants are:

When looking for entries to slate, I looked for significant positive feedback and whether each entry heeded the constructive feedback. I also excluded entries with grammatical errors. After that, I wanted to make sure that the entries made any kind of sense with the concept. Keeping in mind the typing, Necturine should be portrayed as a plant, maybe with spiritual aspects as well. (I was actually super-lenient with this aspect, as you may imagine.) I also excluded a couple of entries based on what I said in the thread:

My thinking was that an over-emphasis on draining nutrients from other life forms was inappropriate enough to exclude from the slate. I did keep some entries going from this angle, by virtue of positive feedback.
