Drastralis

"Dragon" + "Astralis"

Pronounced: "dra-STRA-liss"
IPA: dræ'strælɪs

The first part of the name is simply derived from dragon as a reference to the Pokemon's Dragon typing. The latter component references the Pokemon's design and ability with the concept of astral projection, a form of out-of-body experience. The word astral is derived from the Latin word astralis.

Draghoul

Pronounced drah-gool

Easy portmanteau of dragon and ghoul. Very fitting for a CAP that is Dragon- and Ghost-type, plus it’s a cool split name for the two personalities of the art that won. There are a lot of wonderful submissions, but I think this name accurately captures CAPs typing and the creepy factor of the haunted dream aspect of the art.

Mousetrance

"Mousetrap" (or mouse) + "trance"

Pronounced: "Mouse-Trance"
IPA: maʊstræns

As simple as it seems. A fun play on words to refer to both the CAP's concept as a trapper and it's primary ability.

I have one more name for you people before making a final submission.

WIP

Hibernaint

"Hibernate" + "Haint."

Pronounced: HAHY-buhr-naynt
IPA: 'haɪbərneɪnt

"Hibernate" references CAP 23's dormant state, while "haint" is a Southern U.S.A dialectal term meaning "ghost". Moreover, "haint" can also refer to a restless soul, which works with the rest-related meaning of "hibernate" to acknowledge the contrast between CAP 23's sleeping physical body and active dream body.

Lurked the CAP forums for a couple of years, wanted to finally jump in. I've got two options I wanted to run by you quickly before making a final submission:

WIP

Hypnagon

"Hypnagogia" + "Dragon"

Pronounced: hip-nah-gone

Hypnagogia is the state between sleep and wakefulness, where you experience the phenomena of sleep while you are conscious enough to be aware of them. Dali referred to it as "slumber with a key", using it for creative inspiration.

WIP

Somnogon

"Somnolence" + "Dragon"

Pronounced: some-no-gone

Many words relating to sleep start use the word 'somnus' in some way. Somnolence is a state of strong desire for sleep, or sleeping for unusually long periods.
(As a bonus: when googling Somnogon it asks you if you mean Smogon)

Final Submission

Lambshade

Lamb, since it's partially based on sheep. Shade can mean ghost. And of course, lampshade. For sleeps.

Pronounced: "LAM-sheyd"
IPA: læmʃeɪd

Final Submission

Occultrance

"Occult" + "Ultra" + "Trance"

Pronounced: "Au-CUL-trans"

This name mainly stems from the words occult and trance, with the transition between the words being done by the word ultra. Occult means mystical or supernatural powers, which references the Ghost typing, while ultra and trance reference the fact that this Pokémon is in an ultra trance-like slumber.

Dreyclur

"Dream" + "Cyclura"

The name uses as basis Cyclura Cornata which is a species of Rhinoceros Iguana. Using only "yclur" from the genus of the species name, I added Dre- from Dream at the beginning to form a "Drake" sound.

Pronunciation DRAKE-lur
IPA /dɹeɪk lɜː/
